Urinary incontinence after robot-assisted radical prostatectomy and effects of combined biofeedback therapy using ultrasound imaging and draw-in belt
Get PDF【背景】超音波画像診断装置（以下，エコー）を用いた視覚バイオフィードバック（BioFeedback；以下，BF）による骨盤底筋トレーニングは，ロボット支援腹腔鏡下前立腺全摘除術（Robot-Assisted Radical Prostatectomy；以下，RARP）後の尿失禁症状を軽減する効果が報告されている。しかし，この方法は静的な骨盤底筋トレーニングには有用である一方，動的なトレーニングに適用することは困難であった。これに対して，新たに開発された聴覚 BF 機能を有する腹囲フィードバックベルト（以下，DI ベルト）を活用することで，動的なトレーニング中でも尿道閉鎖圧を高め得る体の使い方をフィードバックすることが可能となった。
【目的】本研究の目的は，視覚 BF と聴覚 BF を組み合わせた複合 BF 療法を骨盤底筋トレーニングに導入し，RARP 後の尿失禁症に対する軽減効果を検証することである。
【方法】当院で RARP を施行した成人男性 38 名を対象とした。2021 年 7 月～12 月にパンフレットを用いた指導を受けた 16 名をⅠ期群，2022 年 4 月～9 月にパンフレットとエコーを用いた指導を受けた 12 名をⅡ期群，2022 年 10 月～2023 年 3 月にパンフレットと複合 BF 療法による指導を受けた 10 名をⅢ期群とした。複合 BF 療法とはエコーによる視覚 BF を用いた骨盤底筋トレーニングに加え，DI ベルトによる聴覚 BFを用いた骨盤底筋トレーニングを行う新しい介入方法のことである。主要評価項目は各群の術後 1 ヵ月の時点における尿取りパッド使用状況とし，先行研究を参考に尿禁制の指標とされる 0～1 枚/日の割合を算出した。
【結果】術後 1 ヵ月における尿取りパッド使用枚数が 0～1 枚/日の割合はⅠ期群 6.3%，Ⅱ期群 50.0%，Ⅲ期群 70.0%であった (p<0.01)。
【結論】エコー（視覚 BF）と DI ベルト（聴覚 BF）を用いた複合 BF 療法は RARP 後の尿失禁症状を軽減させ得る可能性が示唆された。departmental bulletin pape
Christianity and the Concept of the Japanese National Polity as Presented in the Magazine Mikuni, with a Particular Focus on Volume 4
Get PDFThis paper examines the fourth volume of the Mikuni Magazine to illustrate the religious beliefs of its main writers and readers. Published monthly from 1935 to 1943, the magazine was central to the Mikuni movement, one of the Japanese Christian developments at that time.
The articles in the fourth volume articulate a distinct theological perspective, being significantly different from canonical Christian teachings.
Mikuni activists viewed Kokoku (Imperial Japan) as a sacred and eternal nation, equating it with everlasting Heaven.
Reinforced by the deaths of loved ones, whom they believed were enjoying eternal life in the Imperial Nation, their faith deepened.
The apparent military success of the Imperial Japanese Army in the Second Sino-Japanese War further convinced Mikuni writers of Japan's divine destiny.
These beliefs let them encourage young Japanese to participate in what they deemed the Holy Sino-Japanese War.
However, it's important to note that not all individuals sharing similar religious views supported this aggressive expansionism. Therefore, we must not oversimplify the relationship between religious belief and military aggression.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDFThis study clarified the history of the birth of "Tomonoura Shio-Machi Guide groups" and examined what kind of influence they have had on the region, based on interviews with those involved.
In order to explore the future development of "Tomonoura Shio-Machi Guide groups" we conducted interviews with new guides and analyzed what types of people are interested in becoming local tourist guides in Tomonoura.
On the other hand, issues arose due to misunderstandings caused by various stakeholders starting to take the lead in activities. Nowadays, becoming a Shio-machi guide is seen as an opportunity with a high possibility of self-realization, and this has led to an increase in the number of people who are not from Tomonoura and want to become guides.
Many of the people involved are older, and interviews are becoming more difficult each year. Although Tomonoura is rich in historical content, the area faced the threat of division due to problems such as bridge construction. It is necessary to further record the thoughts of the people who tried to protect the Tomonoura area through their activities as guides.departmental bulletin pape
Economic Growth and Population Pressure in Resource-rich Developing Economy : An Initial Study of Egyptian Case

However, as of 2022, Egypt's per capita GDP stands at $4,100 (World Bank, Atlas method), classifying it as a lower-middle-income country according to the World Bank's categorization.
As of the end of October 2023, Egypt's population is 156.4 million, and it is expected to enter a demographic 'population bonus' phase in the 2030s.
While Egypt's abundance of energy resources grants it a geostrategic advantage, it also exposes vulnerabilities due to population pressures.
This paper, using Egypt as a case study, provides initial insights for analyzing and discussing the challenges faced by resource-rich developing nations with large populations and the policies to address them in the future.departmental bulletin pape
TADA Akira’s Economics Articles in the Mikuni Magazines : Some Issues Concerning Anti-Jewish Remarks

The analytical standpoint is that anti-Jewish speeches flourished in Japan before and during World War II.
Tada’s Mikuni articles were riddled with anti-Jewish remarks such as the claim that Jews were behind the propagation of Adam SMITH’s economic liberalism, which Tada believed would undermine existence of nation-states.
The Mikuni magazines were a pillar of the Japanese Christian Mikuni movement, started by IMAIZUMI Genkichi; however, they gradually shifted away from Christianity.
Western Christians did not abandon their faith due to anti-Jewish ideas because they believed that Christian Church had superseded Judaism.
Contrastingly, the Mikuni followers parted from Christianity, the root of which was Judaism.
The Japanese anti-Jewish publications from before and during World War II have largely remained forgotten and untouched, offering substantial research opportunities especially in 2023 as the Jewish Question that was prominent in the first half of the 20th century
seems to have resurfaced.
Tada’s post-war articles on Japanese economic histories and the religious, ethical ideas behind them are also worthy of future studies.departmental bulletin pape
