    Presto is one the of the fish products processing by adding salt to the fish using high temperature and high pressure. The aim of this study was to know the effect of different steaming time on sepat siam (Trichogaster pectoralis) fish presto. The treatment used in this research is different steaming time (15, 30, 45 and 60 minutes) in the making of sepat siam fish presto. The result of this research showed that 45 minutes steaming time (treatment C) is the best treatment based on the organoleptic test in the specification ofthe texture and taste, but had no effect on the color and flavor specification and has no effect on chemical test for water content and protein (74.01% and 19.85%) respectively

    Bioremediation-Bacillus sp. probiotics with the composition of the beneficial bacteria, as well as working synergistically on aquaculture and environment in the host gastrointestinal tract. In addition, it can improve the quality of the environment can also increase the activity of digestive enzymes shrimp. Ultimately lead to increased growth and minimize the risk of disease of shrimp. The purpose of this study to determine the optimum concentration of applications Bioremediation-Bacillussp. probiotics vannamei shrimp culture in the media. The study was designed in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatment concentration of bioremediation-Bacillus sp. probiotics the control (without probiotic), 0.5; 1.0, 1.5 ppmper week, with three replications each. During the study, the test shrimp rearing in glass aquaria with a capacity of 30 L with a density of 4 fish / L and fed the form of powder with 52% protein content as much as 70-100% of total biomass. Watermedium used ± 30 ppt salinity as much as 25 L. The results showed improvement of environmental quality cultivation occurs in the probiotic treatment applications, particularly ammonia levels lower than controls. Digestive enzyme levels of Į-amylase and protease also increased significantly compared to controls. This condition which cause the vannamei shrimp survival and growth were receiving higher than controls of probiotic treatment, while various concentrations of probiotic did not produce differences in response. Application of Bioremediation-Bacillus sp.probiotics can be concluded with a concentration of 0.5 ppm per week in culturemedia can improve the quality of the environment cultivation and the activity ofdigestive enzymes Į-amylase and protease, thus increasing the survival and growthof vannamei shrimp

    Manajemen diperlukan karena sifat sumberdaya perikanan itu sendiri memiliki nilai yang tinggi dan peka terhadap pengelolaan dan terdapat 4 (empat) komponen dasar dalam manajemen yang harus dipertimbangkan, yaitu: (1) kelestarian sumberdaya; (2) sustainabilitas ekonomi; (3) sosial masyarakat (tenaga kerja); dan (4) lingkungan terutama habitat. Dalam pengelolaan sumberdaya perikanan yang berorientasi jangka panjang mengutamakan ke hati hatian dalam melakukan keputusan dan kebijakkan Pengelolaan perikanan bertujuan untuk memaksimalkan produksi tanpa merusak sumberdaya yang ada maupun lingkungan. Pengelolaan perikanan terdiri dari beberapa unsur yaitu (1) penilian sumberdaya, (2) pengambil keputusan, (3) pemilihan strategi, (4) alternatif manajemen (5) pengawasan. Sehingga seorang manager perlu adanya suatu penilaian mengenai risiko dan kerentanan dalam membahas peraturan, perlindungan sumberdaya perikanan dan habitatnya.Berdasarkan Kepmen KP No.6/2010 yang termasuk klasifikasi pukat tarik berkapal (Boat or vessel seine nets) yaitu cantrang dan dogol..     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi ilmiah terkait penilaian stok (stock assessment) sumberdaya ikan ikan Gabus (Channa Striata, Bloch 1793) Di Kalimantan Selatan dengan Pendekatan Model Holistik (Equilibrium - Non Equilibrium State). Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah data sekunder berupa data time series produksi dan upaya penangkapan ikan Channa Striata yang bersumber dari Dinas Kelautan dan Perikanan Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan. Estimasi hasil tangkapan lestari (MSY) ikan Channa striata dilakukan dengan menggunakan model produksi surplus melalui pendekatan equilibrium state model dari Schaefer (1954) dan Fox (1970) dan pendekatan non equilibrium state model dari model walter-hilborn (1976). Hasil penelitian model Schaefer (1954) menunjukkan bahwa status pemanfaatan tahun 2016 tergolong moderate exploited dengan Tingkat Pemanfaatan (TP) sebesar 74%. Status pemanfaatan berdasarkan model Fox (1970) pada tahun 2016 tergolong fully exploited dengan Tingkat Pemanfaatan (TP) sebesar 90%. Sedangkan status pemanfaatan berdasarkan model Walter-Hilborn (1976) pada tahun 2016 tergolong moderate exploited dengan Tingkat Pemanfaatan (TP) sebesar 62%. Potensi stok cadangan lestari sumberdaya ikan Channa Striata saat ini (Standing Stock) ialah 10.838 ton/tahun

    Ikan papuyu (Anabas testudineus Bloch)  dari budidaya yang berbeda akan di olah   menjadi pengolahan  presto.  Presto adalah salah satu diversifikasi pengolahan hasil perikanan, terutama sebagai modifikasi pemindangan pengolahan presto Tujuan dari penelitian organoleptik ikan papuyu  presto dengan cara budidaya yang berbeda adalah mendapatkan  profil penilaian organoleptik  pada ikan papuyu  presto dari budidaya bioflok, kolam dan penangkapan alam. Metode yang digunakan ialah uji organoleptik jenis hedonik yaitu tingkat kesukaan. Hasil penilitian ini ikan papuyu presto diperoleh nilai rata-rata 7  (suka) dari penangkapan alam, budidaya kolam dan bioflok. Pada ikan papuyu presto dengan cara budidaya yang berbeda diperoleh bahwa perlakuan C (bioflok) merupakan perlakuan  yang paling disukai dan memiliki nilai rata-rata tertinggi dari kenampakan, aroma, rasa pada dan tekstur nilai rata-rata yang terbaik pada perlakuan A (alam)

    Penelitian ‘Keanekaragaman Jenis Ikan di Sungai Negara Kecamatan Daha Utara Kabupaten Hulu Sungai SelatanProvinsi Kalimantan Selatan’ bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis ikan yang tergolong ekonomis dan non ekonomis melalui keragaman jenis biota sungai, habitat dan kualitas air yang mencerminkan perairan sungai Negara. Metode pengambilan data yang digunakan yaitu Purposive Sampling dengan menentukan titik-titik stasiun yang mewakili sungai Negara. Alat yang digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel adalah jala (Cast Net), jaring ingsang (Gill Net) dan pancing (Hand Line). Hasil pengamatan di perairan sungai Negara menggambarkan kondisi kualitas air masih cukup baik, namun Nilai pH dan amoniak (NH3) dibawah ambang batas. Habitat pada lokasi penelitian masih optimal dan masih sesuai untuk peruntukan biota aquatik. Hasil tangkapan ikan selama pengamatan dari 3 stasiun selama 3 hari berjumlah 367 ekor, dengan jumlah famili 15 dan jenis ikan dengan jumlah 26 jenis. Nilai kelimpahan relatif (KR) berkisar antara 96-144, indeks keanekaragaman (H’) berkisar 1,5378-2,3106. Nilai indek keseragaman (E) berkisar antara 0,6999-0,9258 dan indeks dominasi (C) berkisar 0,1462-0,3158. Nilai tersebut menunjukkan Status keanekaragaman jenisnya tergolong kategori sedang. Status indek keseragaman sangat merata dan rendah (tidak banyak) spesies yang mendominasi Sungai Negar

    Fishing vessel is one element in determining the success of fishing operations. This study aims to determine; (1) the level of technology; (2) the type of wood used, and (3) the stageof development of timber ships in the traditional ship yard. The study was conducted by Survey. Research conducted ship yard Sewangi Barito Kuala district and village Pagaruyung Tanah Bumbu Regency South Kalimantan. The study was conducted in August through October 2013. Results showed that: ( 1 ) The level of technology used in the construction of the ship is still relatively low , the equipment used is still using nonelectronic equipment ie axes, saws, chisels, pegs, hammer, machetes, bacci, measuring instruments, planers. Only the use of an electric drill workmanship. The level oftechnology in the construction of timber ships has not been completed by the calculationof shipping architecture and ship design and construction drawings ; ( 2 ) type of wood used is Ulin wood, Alaban, Bengkirai, Bungur and Meranti which have a high degree of strength and resistant to attack by marine organisms; ( 3 ) Stages of development oftraditional boats to large ships began with the manufacture of the hull, keel assembly tothe deck and transom beam.     Coral reefs are one of the marine ecosystem which has a very high primary productivity and is a habitat for marine life. This study is to determine the shape and condition of coralreef growth. The method used is the line transect method (Life Form Transect) In this method does not require, but only advised to memorize 27 criteria coral growth expressed as a colony under the line transect, observed and recorded, measured in the scale of centimeters (cm). The results showed that coral reefs are found on the first transect line growth form that is Acropora Branching 2.20%, Acropora tabulate 29.44%, 15.88% Massive and abiotic 7.74%. II found on the transect line growth form that is non-Acropora Branching 4.68%., Massive 49.26%, 18.34% and abiotic. In the transect line III found that Acropora digitate form of growth of 1.80%, 2.10% Non Acropora Branching, Massive abiotic 33.60% and 18.70%. Cover the condition of coral reefs showed that on the first transect lines (medium category) with a percentage of 47.52% coral cover transect line II(both categories) 53.96% and the line transect III (medium category) 37.50%

    Skin of narrow - barred Spanish mackerel has not been maximally utilized. It is alternatively used as chips. It has good taste obtained from immersion the fish skin into herbs and spices. The objective of the study was to find the optimum time length of immersing the mackerel’s skin into the spices. This study is expected to be able toproduce the desired chip product, diversify the processed fish products, create newhousehold industry, and provide scientific information on environmental friendly wasteutilization. The ingredients needed in chip processing of the mackerel chips were garlic,tamarind, lime, coriander, salt, and ginger. While research method used is RAL with one factor of different time (4 treatment and 3 replication) and analysis of water content, testprotein and organoleptic level.Results showed that the lowest water content occurred in treatment A, 11.10 %,and the highest in treatment C, 13.26 %, while the lowest protein was found in treatmentA, 24.50 %, and the highest in treatment D, 61.25%. Water content was statisticallysignificantly different and protein content was highly significantly different amongtreatments. The organoleptic test found that the lowest mean value occurred in treatmentA, 5.046, and the highest in treatment B, 5.294. The sensory test gave significant effectonly on the taste. This difference indicates that the immersion time length of thetreatments could also impact on water content or protein content
