Analisis kesadahan dan TDS Air Tanah Dangkal daerah pangale dan tande Kota Majene
kualitas air yang baik sering kali sulit didapatkan terutama di daerah yang memiliki kandungan kapur tinggi dalam air tanah. Air yang mengandung kapur, atau dikenal sebagai air keras, dapat berdampak negatif pada kesehatan, seperti menyebabkan gangguan pencernaan dan iritasi kulit. Selain itu, air kapur juga dapat merusak peralatan rumah tangga dan infrastruktur air karena terbentuknya kerak kapur. Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kesadahan dan Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) pada air tanah dangkal. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksprimental dengan mengukur langsung kualitas air di lapangan. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai kesadahan untuk daerah pangale pada titik 1 adalah 519.55 mg/L, titik 2 adalah 517.53 mg/L, titik 3 adalah 727.15 mg/L. Untuk TDS dilokasi pangale diperoleh titik 1 adalah 993 ppm, titik 2 adalah 955 ppm, titik 3 adalah 773 ppm. Sedangkan untuk daerah tande diperoleh kesadahan di titik 1 sebesar 352.25 mg/L, titik 2 sebesar 322.19mg/L, titik 3 sebesar 427.84mg/L dan TDS diperoleh titik 1 adalah 684 ppm, titik 2 adalah 913 ppm, titik 3 adalah 1018 ppm
Inovasi Mie Ikan Penja dengan Subtitusi Tepung Kelor dan Tepung Cassava Sebagai Alternatif PMT Balita Gizi Kurang
Undernutrition remains one of the major causes of infant mortality in Indonesia. Providing supplementary feeding (PMT) is one of the key strategies to combat this issue. This study aimed to examine the innovation of penja fish noodles substituted with moringa leaf flour and cassava flour in three formulations: P1 (0:20:80), P2 (3:20:80), and P3 (10:20:80), and to evaluate their acceptability and nutritional content. The research was an empirical laboratory-based study conducted over four months. Organoleptic tests were carried out in Kelurahan Rangas, Majene, and nutritional analysis was performed at the Health Laboratory Center in Makassar. The data were analyzed using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and ANOVA. Organoleptic parameters included color, aroma, taste, and texture, while nutritional tests measured fat, protein, carbohydrate, and iron content. The results showed that formula P2 (3:20:80) was the most preferred by consumers and had a balanced nutrient composition. Although some nutrient components did not differ significantly, the substitution improved carbohydrate content. In conclusion, this innovation has the potential to serve as an alternative PMT for undernourished toddlers. Further studies are needed to evaluate its long-term effects and feasibility for broader implementation
Sosialisasi Literasi Digital dalam Membangun Sikap Cerdas dan Bijak Bermedia pada Siswa Sekolah Dasar di SD Negeri Kakatua Makassar
Perkembangan teknologi digital yang pesat membawa dampak signifikan terhadap kehidupan peserta didik sekolah dasar, baik dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran maupun menimbulkan berbagai tantangan, seperti kesulitan memilah informasi, rendahnya etika bermedia, serta kurangnya kesadaran akan keamanan dan privasi digital. Kondisi tersebut menunjukkan pentingnya penguatan literasi digital sejak dini. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman literasi digital siswa sekolah dasar dalam membangun sikap cerdas dan bijak bermedia. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui sosialisasi literasi digital kepada siswa kelas V SD Negeri Kakatua Kota Makassar. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan pelaporan, dengan bentuk kegiatan berupa penyampaian materi, diskusi, tanya jawab, serta aktivitas interaktif yang disesuaikan dengan karakteristik peserta didik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik memiliki antusiasme yang tinggi dan mengalami peningkatan pemahaman mengenai literasi digital, etika bermedia, serta pemanfaatan teknologi secara positif dan aman. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat membekali siswa sekolah dasar agar mampu menggunakan media digital secara bijak, kritis, dan bertanggung jawab
Flood Disaster Management and Prevention, and Risk Reduction through Active Community Participation in Batanguru Village, Mamasa
Background: Batanguru Village, Sumarorong District, Mamasa Regency, is an area prone to flooding and landslides, as evidenced in 2019 when approximately 24 houses were destroyed and lives were lost due to the community's lack of knowledge regarding disaster preparedness.
Service objective: The objective of this service is to provide education and understanding through socialization regarding the definition of floods, their impacts, and the actions that must be taken before, during, and after a disaster.
Method: The method used was socialization through the stages of licensing, preparation, implementation, and evaluation. The activity was carried out at the Batanguru Village office on June 27, 2024.
Results: The results showed an increase in public understanding and awareness of the importance of maintaining environmental cleanliness and quality, as well as knowledge for disaster mitigation planning. This activity had a positive impact in raising public awareness to be prepared
Utilization of Technology for Marketing and Promotion of Pamboborang Village Agrotourism
Background: Agrotourism has significant potential to boost the rural economy in Indonesia, but is hampered by a lack of digital marketing. This community service project targeted Pamboborang Village, East Banggae District, Majene Regency, to raise public awareness of technology in promoting agrotourism.
Purpose of the Study: This activity aims to socialize the benefits of social media (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok) and websites to expand the reach and visibility of Pamboborang Village agrotourism.
Methods: The approach includes presentations, practical demonstrations, case studies, interactive discussions, and digital content creation workshops. Pre- and post-activity questionnaires are used to evaluate effectiveness.
Results: Participants reported increased understanding of digital marketing and readiness to apply skills in promoting agrotourism, demonstrating the success of outreach in building community capacity
Balancing Structure and Autonomy: EFL Tutors’ Psychological Perceptions in Web-based Distance Learning
The rapid expansion of web-based distance learning (WBDL) in higher education has significantly changed English as a Foreign Language (EFL) instruction, particularly in universities that implemented a distance learning system where flexibility and technological integration are vital. While most research focuses on technology or students, this study explores how English as a Foreign Language (EFL) tutors at an Indonesian university perceive web-based distance learning. Employing a descriptive qualitative design within an interpretive paradigm conceptually grounded in Qiong's (2017) six-dimension framework, the study analyzes interview data from two experienced tutors. The tutor was intentionally chosen to facilitate an in-depth, rich, and detailed comparative analysis of their subjective psychological perceptions, aligning with the study's interpretive paradigm, which seeks depth over generalizability. The interviews were recorded and transcribed, then thematically analyzed with multiple rounds of open coding, thematic grouping, and interpretive synthesis in order to establish how tutors' perceptions reflected their negotiation between institutional expectations and professional agency. The results illustrate a key tension reflecting the study's central dichotomy: one tutor prioritizes institutional structure and professionalism, while the other emphasizes pedagogical autonomy and learner-centeredness. The study concludes that successful web-based distance learning requires a dynamic psychological balance between the system and autonomy. Practically, these findings suggest that institutions must move beyond mere technical training and provide robust psychological and affective support, recognizing tutors as critical agents in negotiating this balance rather than just as system operators
Multi-Modal Learning Strategies and EFL Speaking Accuracy: Insights from a University Setting
This study investigates the effectiveness of the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) method in enhancing the speaking ability of third-semester EFL students at the Muslim University of Indonesia. The research employed a pre-experimental design, utilizing pre-test and post-test assessments to evaluate changes in students’ speaking performance. Thirty-two students participated in the study, with speaking accuracy measured in terms of pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and fluency. The findings revealed significant improvements in students’ speaking ability after the SAVI intervention. The mean pre-test score of 2.59 increased to 5.25 in the post-test, and statistical analysis confirmed a significant difference between the two assessments. Students exhibited enhanced articulation, grammatical accuracy, and lexical richness, alongside greater confidence and willingness to participate in oral activities. These results indicate that multi-sensory learning strategies can foster holistic development and strengthen communicative competence, surpassing traditional lecture-based approaches in promoting effective language use. The study highlights the practical implications of integrating SAVI methods into EFL instruction, emphasizing the value of active engagement, real-time feedback, and interactive classroom practices. The findings suggest that educators can achieve measurable improvements in speaking proficiency by employing sensory-based pedagogical interventions. Additionally, the research provides insights for curriculum designers and teacher training programs, advocating for flexible, learner-centered approaches that align with modern communicative language teaching principles
Peningkatan Kompetensi Pedagogik Guru di Kota Makassar melalui Pelatihan Model Pembelajaran Mendalam (Deep Learning)
Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik 24 orang guru SMP di Kota Makassar melalui Pelatihan Pembelajaran Mendalam (Deep Learning). Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi mitra adalah dominansi metode pembelajaran konvensional yang bersifat superfisial dan keterbatasan keterampilan dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi digital ke dalam Kurikulum Merdeka. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan workshop partisipatif yang meliputi tahap pemaparan materi, diskusi kelompok, simulasi penyusunan perangkat ajar, dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman guru mengenai filosofi pembelajaran mendalam, yang dibuktikan dengan kenaikan skor rata-rata kompetensi peserta dari 72,00 pada saat pre-test menjadi 92,00 pada post-test. Selain itu, terdapat peningkatan keterampilan teknis dalam memanfaatkan media digital seperti Canva, Padlet, dan Wordwall. Peserta berhasil menyusun draf desain pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan berpusat pada siswa. Kegiatan ini juga berhasil membentuk komunitas praktisi antar guru untuk mendukung keberlanjutan inovasi di sekolah. Simpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan intensif selama 6 hari dengan pendampingan langsung terbukti efektif dalam mentransformasi paradigma mengajar guru menjadi lebih adaptif dan inovatif

Species Diversity and Distribution Patterns of Epiphytic Orchids (Orchidaceae) in Bukit Pasapa Kurrak, Mamasa, West Sulawesi, Indonesia
Biodiversity refers to the variety of living organisms, encompassing genetic, species, and ecosystem diversity within a particular area. Epiphytic orchids are orchids that grow on other plants but are not parasitic, as they only attach to the trunks, branches, or twigs of living or dead trees without deriving nutrients directly from their hosts. This study aimed to analyze the diversity and distribution patterns of epiphytic orchid species in Bukit Pasapa Kurrak and to explore their implementation as a biological learning resource. This research employed a quantitative approach using an exploratory survey method. Sampling was conducted using a purposive sampling technique. The collected data were analyzed by calculating several ecological indices, including the Important Value Index (IVI), Shannon–Wiener diversity index (H’), Simpson dominance index (C), evenness index (E), and Morisita’s index of dispersion (Id). The results showed that the diversity of epiphytic orchid species in Bukit Pasapa Kurrak was categorized as moderate, with a Shannon–Wiener diversity index of H’ = 1.66. The distribution pattern of epiphytic orchids in the study area was classified as random, with a Morisita index (Ip) of 0.04. Furthermore, validation results from two expert validators indicated that the developed learning resource was highly valid and feasible to implement as a biology learning resource
