Decolonial Perspectives: Transformative examples of education and practice
What is the impact of an education that seeks to subvert power relations and make us reflect on the various types of violences that Western society has brought to us through colonization? This article will not be able to fully answer this complex question, but it may indicate some paths that can be further explored by future researchers. This work reflects the effort to bring together references originally written in Portuguese and sometimes in Spanish. It constitutes a single reflection on the role that the decolonial perspective can have in the formation of empowered individuals who are aware of the inequalities to which they are subjected and to which they bear witness from their own personal and social transformative role. It also presents a social movement alternative, inspired by indigenous cosmologies, which combines the struggle for environmental preservation and social justice.departmental bulletin pape
Curriculum for Elementary department of Special Needs Education Schools that provide education to students with health impairment ―From the viewpoint of academic ability compensation and time setting for Jiritsukatsudo(Activities to Promote Independence)―
This survey was conducted to provide students who are planning to become teachers at special-needs schools with information on the actual curricular structure that serves as a framework for teaching. The survey was conducted using school websites to determine how the number of class periods for academic compensation and Jiritsukatsudo(Activities to Promote Independence) were distributed.
The results showed that, as a general trend of the collected data, two Jiritsukatsudo (Activities to Promote Independence) periods per week are set aside for independent activities, and that in order to secure these periods, the number of periods is allocated from Japanese and physical education for 1 st and 2 nd graders, and from physical education and integrated learning for 3 rd graders and above. In terms of the total number of class hours, it was also found that some schools organized their classes by adding the number of hours for Jiritsukatsudo(Activities to Promote Independence)to the standard number of class hours for elementary school, since the total number of class hours exceeded the standard number of hours for elementary school by about 10-16 hours.departmental bulletin pape
