ENHANCING CHARACTER COMPETENCY THROUGH LEARNING DESIGN MODULE (LDM): A QUALITATIVE CASE STUDY OF P5 IMPLEMENTATION IN VOCATIONAL
This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Learning Design Module (LDM) in the Proyek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) with the theme of Employment for eleventh-grade students at SMK Graha Madina Singosari. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research focuses on three main aspects: (1) the design and content of the LDM, (2) the classroom implementation process, and (3) the impact of LDM use on students' character competency. Data were collected through classroom observations on P5’s teacher and students of grade XI at SMK Graha Madina Singosari, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings indicate that the LDM, developed based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL), successfully integrates modern office administration skills with the strengthening of core character values such as responsibility, independence, and collaboration. The implementation of LDM fostered active student engagement through contextual learning activities that simulate real-world work practices, although challenges remain in time management and group dynamics. Overall, the use of LDM not only enhances instructional effectiveness but also serves as a transformative tool for character development in vocational education. These findings underscore the importance of project- and reflection-based learning design in supporting Indonesia’s Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes 21st-century competencies
OPTIMIZING DEEP LEARNING MODELS FOR LIMITED DATA ENVIRONMENTS: A COMPARATIVE STUDY
The use of deep learning models in education is expanding, particularly in supporting student data analysis, personalized learning, and AI-based evaluation tools. However, most of these models require large amounts of data to perform optimally, which often poses a challenge in educational environments with limited data. This study aims to explore and optimize deep learning models under limited data conditions through a comparative analysis of several approaches designed to improve model efficiency in such settings. It examines techniques like transfer learning, data augmentation, and semi-supervised learning, and evaluates model performance on educational data such as attendance records, exam scores, and student survey results from vocational high school students across West Jakarta. The findings reveal that transfer learning and data augmentation significantly enhance model accuracy without needing to directly increase data volume, while semi-supervised learning provides stable performance on highly limited datasets. These findings contribute to the development of more efficient deep learning models suited for educational environments with restricted data access, supporting educators and edtech developers in making informed decisions on the application of machine learning in educational institutions
THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN STUDENTS' KNOWLEDGE ABOUT SEX WITH STUDENTS' ATTITUDES TOWARDS DATING ACTIVITIES
Knowledge about sex is an important aspect in shaping students' attitudes towards behaviors related to interpersonal relationships, including dating activities. This study aims to identify the relationship between students' level of knowledge about sex and their attitudes towards dating. The subjects were counseling teachers and students of Kemala Bhayangkari Rantauprapat Private High School Students. This study used a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to a sample of Kemala Bhayangkari Rantauprapat Private High School Students. Sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observations and questionnaires. The results of the study on sex knowledge of class X students were higher (84.25%) compared to class XI (71.1%) and XII (63.45%). The correlation test results showed that there was no significant relationship (0.296, p = 0.05) between sexual knowledge and dating activities. This indicates that although students have knowledge about sex does not directly affect dating activities. This finding indicates that other factors may be more dominant in shaping students' attitudes towards dating, such as social norms, environmental influences, or family values
PENGEMBANGAN MODUL BERBASIS INKUIRI TERBIMBING UNTUK PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM KELAS VIII DI SMP AL-HIDAYAH MEDAN
Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis langkah-langkah pengembangan modul berbasis inkuiri terbimbimbing, menganalisis kelayakan modul berbasis inkuiri terbimbimbing, menganalisis efektivitas modul berbasis inkuiri terbimbimbing, dan menganalisis kepraktisan penggunaan modul tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, yang terdiri dari lima tahap: analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Tahap analisis dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan siswa dan guru serta menyesuaikan modul dengan kurikulum yang berlaku. Pada tahap perancangan, struktur dan isi modul dikembangkan berdasarkan prinsip inkuiri. Setelah itu, modul diimplementasikan dalam proses pembelajaran untuk mengukur efektivitasnya dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Tahap akhir, yaitu evaluasi, dilakukan untuk menilai keberhasilan modul berdasarkan hasil uji coba, umpan balik dari siswa dan guru, serta perbaikan yang diperlukan guna meningkatkan kualitas modul. Hasil pengembangan modul berbasis inkuiri terbimbing untuk Pendidikan Agama Islam kelas VIII di SMP Al-Hidayah Medan menunjukkan kelayakan tinggi (kategori sangat layak). Efektivitas modul diuji melalui pretest dan posttest, dengan N-Gain mengindikasikan perbedaan signifikan, membuktikan modul ini efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Dari segi kepraktisan, modul mendapat respons positif di mana mayoritas siswa merasa senang menggunakannya serta menganggap bahasa dan tampilan jelas serta menarik. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa modul tidak hanya efektif tetapi juga praktis dalam memfasilitasi pembelajaran dan meningkatkan motivasi siswa
URGENSI PENDIDIKAN BAGI PNS INDONESIA
Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) serta dampak peningkatan kompetensi PNS terhadap pelaksanaan layanan publik guna mendukung kebijakan reformasi birokrasi Indonesia. Metode kajian literatur merupakan serangkaian kegiatan yang berkenaan dengan metode pengumpulan data pustaka, membaca dan mencatat, serta mengolah bahan penelitian. Artikel ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Bagaimana urgensi Pendidikan bagi Pegawai Negeri Sipil? (2) Bagaimanakah dampak pendidikan Pegawai Negeri Sipil bagi reformasi birokrasi Indonesia? Berdasarkan hasil kajian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa peningkatan kualitas sumber daya pegawai perlu dilakukan secara terencana, terarah, dan berkesinambungan dalam rangka meningkatkan kemampuan dan profesionalisme. Kualitas sumber daya pegawai yang tinggi akan bermuara pada lahirnya komitmen yang kuat dalam penyelesaian tugas-tugasnya. Terdapat urgensi pendidikan bagi PNS yaitu untuk peningkatan kompetensi, pemenuhan syarat jabatan, pengembangan karier, mengurangi kesejangan kompetensi serta memenuhi kebutuhan SDM yang handal. Hal ini sejalan dengan tujuan reformasi birokrasi Indonesia yang menekankan pada mutu pelayanan yang baik. Keterampilan PNS yang memadai sangat krusial bagi keberhasilan reformasi birokrasi di Indonesia, mengingat PNS merupakan garda terdepan bagi implementasi kebijakan pemerintah dalam pelaksanaan pelayanan publik. Pendidikan dapat mengembangkan kompetensi PNS, sehingga PNS yang berkompetensi unggul akan membawa keberhasilan bagi pelaksanaan kebijakan reformasi birokrasi
Exploring the Use of Semantic Mapping in English Language Teaching Classroom
The study examined the efficacy of employing semantic mapping as a method for comprehending and enhancing students' vocabulary proficiency. This study was conducted at SMA Swasta Al-Fattah Medan in the tenth grade students. This study investigates the implementation of semantic mapping as a vocabulary instruction strategy in English language teaching classrooms at the senior high school level, specifically focusing on Grade X students. Using a qualitative research design, the study explores both teacher implementation practices and student perceptions of semantic mapping through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. Data were collected from three English teachers and their respective classes over one semester. The findings reveal that students demonstrate positive perceptions toward semantic mapping, with the majority reporting enhanced comprehension and vocabulary retention. Analysis of student responses indicates that semantic mapping facilitates vocabulary acquisition by creating meaningful connections between words and promoting higher cognitive engagement. The research also identifies successful implementation strategies and challenges faced by teachers, including time management and varying student participation levels. The study concludes that semantic mapping is an effective instructional tool that not only improves vocabulary acquisition but also increases student engagement and motivation in English language learning. These findings contribute to the understanding of effective vocabulary instruction methods in English language teaching and provide practical insights for educators implementing semantic mapping in their classrooms
An Analysis of EFL Student's Needs of a Critical Literacy Model
This study aims to analyze the needs of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students regarding a critical literacy model. The research sought to identify gaps in current EFL curricula and determine how a critical literacy approach could enhance students' language skills and critical thinking abilities. This study employs qualitative approach. There are two kinds of instruments used to collect data. First, a needs assessment questionnaire administered to 82 undergraduate EFL students in two private universities in Yogyakarta. They were the third semester students who enrolled Critical Reading class in English Language Education Study Program. Second, semi-structured interviews conducted with 3 lecturers who handled Critical Reading classes. The study participants were selected through purposive sampling to ensure representation across different proficiency levels and academic backgrounds. The findings revealed that 78% of students expressed a strong desire for more opportunities to engage with authentic texts critically. Furthermore, 85% of instructors acknowledged the importance of integrating critical literacy skills into their teaching but cited a lack of resources and training as primary obstacles. Based on these findings, the current study would become the basis to develop a critical literacy model tailored to EFL contexts, emphasizing the need for targeted professional development for instructors and the creation of culturally relevant teaching materials
Penerapan Metode Naïve Bayes Pada Pengaruh Penggunaan Gadget Terhadap Nilai Siswa Sekolah Dasar
Saat ini, penggunaan gadget telah menjadi bagian dari kehidupan sehari-hari, termasuk bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Gadget sering digunakan untuk menunjang proses pembelajaran, namun penggunaan yang berlebihan dan tidak terkontrol dapat berdampak negatif terhadap prestasi akademik siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan gadget terhadap nilai akademik siswa sekolah dasar dengan menerapkan metode Naïve Bayes sebagai teknik klasifikasi. Metode Naïve Bayes digunakan untuk mengklasifikasikan data berdasarkan beberapa variabel, yaitu durasi penggunaan gadget, jenis aktivitas dengan gadget, dan pola belajar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang menggunakan gadget dengan durasi yang terkontrol dan untuk ak-tivitas edukatif cenderung memiliki nilai akademik lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan mereka yang menggunakan gadget secara berlebihan untuk hiburan. Selain itu, pola belajar yang lebih ter-struktur, seperti belajar secara mandiri atau dengan bimbingan, ber-kontribusi positif terhadap prestasi akademik siswa. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mengenai pentingnya pengawasan dan pengelolaan penggunaan gadget bagi siswa sekolah dasar. Dengan adanya hasil ini, diharapkan orang tua dan pendidik dapat lebih bijak dalam mengarahkan penggunaan gadget agar lebih optimal dalam mendukung proses pembelajaran
