筆者は､ 日本語にはない ｢可算名詞と不可算名詞の区別｣ ｢冠詞､ 限定詞｣ ｢時制｣ などが､ なぜ英語には存在するのかは日本語と英語の間の ｢部分と全体の捉え方の違い｣ という観点から説明できると考えている｡
