AN ANALYSIS OF THE REGIONALIZED TOURISM SATELLITE ACCOUNT DATA IN ROMANIA FOR THE PERIOD 2011-2017
In Romania, Tourism Satellite Account (TSA) at national level is produced annually starting with the reference year 2011 by the National Institute of Statistics. However, there are no TSA data at regional level (for regions); worldwide there are few countries having such data (in the period 2018-2019 only fourteen countries were identified). The purpose of this paper is to present an analysis of main results pertaining to regionalizing the TSA aggregates in Romania at the level of its eight development region. These have shown for the first time the economic size of tourism in each region in Romania. Hence the highest contribution to regional GDP in 2017 is found for South-East region (4.1%) over the national average (2.8%). At the opposite end, there is South-West Oltenia region with the lowest contribution to the regional GDP (1.6%). For the period 2011-2017 there are remarkable developments for Centre region that has increased its share to the national tourism direct GDP (from 10.9% to 15.3%); this is in contrast with Bucharest-Ilfov region that registered a decline of the same share, from 36.2% in 2011 to 28.9% in 2017. Still, Bucharest-Ilfov region accounts for over one third of internal tourism consumption in Romania
INTEGRATION OF THE CONCEPT OF YIELD MANAGEMENT INTO THE MARKETING POLICY OF TRAVEL AGENCIES IN ROMANIA
This analysis starts from the idea according to which the activity of travel agencies in Romania significantly developed in the last few years, fact which determines with certainty a series of modifications of the proper course of their activity, of management and marketing processes. The present context caused by the evolution of Sars-CoV-2 pandemic reveals, maybe more than ever, the relevance of the integration of the concept of yield management into the marketing policy of travel agencies, through the complementarity analysis between the elements of marketing mix and yield management. Interviewing the top-management from two tour operator travel agencies, representative on the national market, emphasizes the implementation of some management systems adapted mainly to their own organizational practices, based on using booking platforms (B2B and B2C), offering Early Booking and Last-Minute packages, overbooking and cost optimization. Although organization management and marketing policy are part of the regional tourism market dynamics, the new macroeconomic tendencies of the year 2020 need a strategic rethinking which implement, at least partially, the yield management processes, by relating them to the marketing mix where the central elements are market segmentation, reduction of demand and price flexibility according to the market demands
ABSORPTION OF EUROPEAN FUNDS AND IMPORTANCE FOR THE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
The absorption of European funds is representing a phenomenon with strong implications in the European sphere, on the one hand, and within Romania’s capacity to access these funds, on the other hand. The capacity of absorption is “ a variable which is manifesting under different forms in the member states”, thing which determined the need to identify some individual solutions, designed and applied according to the specific needs of each country in regard to the removal of obstacles and of absorption difficulties of European money. The access of European funds results in the implementation of these funds, which contributes to regional development. The objective of this research is to evaluate the capacity of absorption in the area of funds demand, to identify the means of improving the capacity of absorption via the analysis of the identified theoretical aspects and their implementation at a practical level. Another research direction was represented by the analysis of the impact brought by the implementation of the projects conducted from the European funds over the local development, the planning and implementation of available resources, the EU payments towards Romania and the achievements and national level, so that it would be possible to create a strong correlation between the availability of funds and the needs of the public investments. The research’s results demonstrate that the absorption of the European funds is an elemental request posed by the development of the society in the context of European integration and by the development of the local autonomy as an insurance for the success of the local community development

CAN FINANCIAL LITERACY DRIVE ACTIVE INVESTMENT STRATEGY? EVIDENCE FROM UNDERDEVELOPED CAPITAL MARKET
The main goal of this paper is to determine the empirically analyse the relationship between financial literacy and investment strategy of individual investors from the underdeveloped capital market of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The OECD INFE Core Questionnaire (2011) was mainly used for measuring financial literacy. Using the purposive sampling technique, 89 individual investors were selected. The research was conducted in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the third quarter of 2019. To gain a better understanding of the relationship between entrepreneurs’ financial literacy and their decision making styles we primarily use structural equation modeling. The research findings have revealed a statistically - significant impact of financial attitudes, financial behaviour and financial knowledge on active investment strategy. Findings suggest that active investment approach may be raised via enhancing the financial literacy of the investors. Therefore, these results may produce useful pieces of information which might be helpful in the creation of tailored-made training programs which would meet the needs of investors in Bosnia and Herzegovina

THE IMPACT OF ELEMENTARY WORK UNIT (EWU) ON THE ORGANIZATIONAL CLIMATE
The organizational climate is part of the organizational culture. Although the concept of organizational culture initially appeared in the English literature of the 1960s as a synonym for climate, the organizational climate is in fact a reflection of the culture and evolution of the organization and it expresses its true priorities, as perceived by employees in contact daily with company practices, procedures and policies. The analysis undertaken in this article attempts to highlight the characteristics of the organizational climate of the Dacia Group Renault company, after the introduction of the new organizational mode, namely the elementary unit of work (EWU)
MILK QUALITY IN COMMUNITY FARMS AND FARMERS’ PERFORMANCE TOWARDS TOURISM RELATED ACTIVITIES
Tourism as a potential path for further development in the agricultural field has increased the attentiveness of farmers who designate further extension of their services. A lucid awareness of the possible increase in their income from tourism-related services in their daily activities has changed their perspective of the future of their business operation. We evaluated the quality of the milk produced from local farmers by performing DELVOTEST to assess the presence of antibiotic residues in cows. Moreover, we performed a questionnaire with topics corresponding to tourism-related activities implemented in their farm now or planned for the foreseeable future. In conclusion, elevated levels of antibiotic residues in the milk of the cows proved a decrease in the quality of their product. Some of the farmers have already started to engage in tourism-related services but a decline quality of their milk is considered to represent a barrier for attraction of customers in agro-tourism owing to the fact that quality improves image. Since this study was conducted in a low-income country, challenges of successful implementation of agro-tourism need to be further evaluated
