IS SOCIAL MEDIA A VALUABLE TOOL FOR EVALUATION OF TOURISM SERVICES? EVIDENCES FOR BUCHAREST METROPOLIS AS A TOURISM DESTINATION
Tourism stakeholders are not currently using information and communication technologies (ICT) and social media tools at its full effectiveness, in order to relate and engage with tourists. Unfortunately, social media is not differentiated as a specific and vital marketing tool in order to enrich marketing strategy. DMO need to pay attention to social media websites because they assist consumer-generated content, and in order not to undermine their authority. Organizations no longer have ultimate power over their image. DMO should develop a more flexible strategy incorporating social media as a marketing tool. This paper presents the perceptions of tourists about tourism services provided by tourism operators from Bucharest metropolis, via social media networks, namely Booking, TripAdvisor and mobile applications
IT tools for managers to streamline employees\u27 work in the digital age
Throughout this paper we bring to the fore a series of interconnected issues that managers confront themselves with in order to streamline the employees\u27 work in the digital age. More and more, digital technology is being integrated in the lives of all individuals from an early age and this trend will lead to dramatic changes in the sector of education and employability. Within the first section of the paper we shall present a brief evolution of some selective IT tools which have irreversibly changed the business world and great changes are yet to come. The increasing trend of including technology at the work place is challenging the leadership competence. Managers are constrained to improve both their technological skills and their soft skills, in order to manage both the digitalization phenomena and the employees. Throughout the second section of the paper we emphasize some of the most important IT tools used by nowadays managers in their daily work and which are greatly improving their business performance. In section number three we address a selection of the managerial methods of coordinating employees in the digital age. Even if technology achieved to replace many human processes there is still the need for human resources in the business place. Within this section we present a set of managerial practices suitable for the efficient combination of digital and human work. As a bottom line of this research paper, we concluded that presently we are facing a transition and the greatest challenge for managers is to optimize digital and human resources and processes.
PROMOTING ORGANIC FOOD PRODUCTS TO THE ROMANIAN CONSUMERS
Romanian consumers started buying and consuming more organic food products. Their decision-making process is influenced by a variety of aspects and by their consumer profile. Companies need to adapt their marketing mix strategies based on this information. The current research aimed to identify correlations between the marketing mix elements and buying intention and get some insight into how Romanian organic product consumers are influenced by promotional instruments. A quantitative research was developed, supported by a structured questionnaire. Following a factor analysis of the promotion items, two dimensions emerged that were named by the authors “personalized promotion” and “classic advertising”. The marketing mix elements that were found to have the highest correlation with buying intention are perception of cost-benefit ratio (price) and personalized promotion techniques (promotion). ROMANIA’S ABILITY TO ATTRACT FOREIGN TOURISTS: EVOLUTION AT REGIONAL LEVEL
This article aims to reveal the evolution of foreign tourists number in Romania from a regional point of view. We analyzed the values of the arrivals and night spent indicators, but also net occupancy rates of the accommodation capacities. There are differences among the regions of Romania from these indicators values point of view. The share of foreign tourists in total arrivals and nights spent number differ quite much from region to region in Romania. The trend is ascendant for arrivals and night spent, but compared to the EU average the share of foreign tourists in Romania is still low. Net occupancy rate is also under the EU average and in Romania there are some changes needed in tourism industry, in order to benefit from the opportunity of attracting tourists from the EU Member States, like some other Eastern and Central European countries did.This article aims to reveal the evolution of foreign tourists number in Romania from a regional point of view. THE EUROPEAN UNION AND THE MEMBER STATES UNDER THE AUSPICES OF THE EUROPE 2020 STRATEGY
The Europe 2020 strategy, the main instrument for implementing the Lisbon Treaty, has emerged from the impact that the economic and financial crisis has had on the European economy. Through this strategy, the European Union pursues the progress of the concepts of smart, sustainable and inclusive growth, but also of social dialogue. The European model envisages both the perpetuation of economic growth, while respecting long-term sustainability and sustainability, and the adaptation of Member States and the EU to new economic realities (globalization, climate change and an aging population). Europe 2020, with the help of the instruments used, managed to strengthen the way of supervising the activities, carried out in the pre-existing framework, respectively the analysis of negative externalities which allowed it to take measures to avoid the lack of immediate reactions from member countries. Monitoring the strategy is an impetus for Member States to meet EU targets

Influencer is one of the modern means of communication. Sometimes people are called opinion formers, others are opinion leaders, and third - just influencer. Collaboration with these people is an integral part of public relations and an effective brand awareness tool. Consumers are beginning to recognize one-off advertising and are becoming less and less impressive. Long-term relationships with the brand in social networks are becoming an integral and organic part of its communication. ANALYSIS OF ENVIRONMENTAL ATTITUDE OF TOURISTS ACCOMMODATED IN HOTELS IN BUCOVINA AREA
Tourism is one of the biggest industries, and it is an important economic instrument. However, it also has many negative effects on the environment. Hotels as one of the components of tourism industry have a significant environmental impact. Considering the topic approached, this paper analyses an important and current subject regarding the environmental attitude of the tourists in Bucovina area. Different entities noticed a continuous increase of the interest and of the concerns regarding this topic. In this study we developed some hypotheses which we tested with the help of SPSS statistical program. SMART CITY: A CONTEMPORARY CONCEPT OF URBAN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
Migration from rural areas to cities, beside to migration of highly educated labor, are becoming one of the most significant challenges in the contemporary urban environment. Increasingly and extensively influx of population from rural areas into cities, with climate and lifestyle changes, additionally exposed city government to challenges for optimal city functioning and sustainable urban development. These challenges as initiatives to improve the quality of life, higher efficiency and preservation of the environment, with the accelerated development of new technologies, are resulted in the emergence of the Smart City concept. The Smart City concept represents the dominant direction of urban development based on the digital transformation of the city and principles of sustainable development. At its core, the concept involves the digital transformation of the city towards achieving greater efficiency of the city administration, higher quality of life, reducing the exploitation of resources, but also reducing the negative impact on the environment. Human Resource Management Strategies in the Chinese Multinational Corporations: Ideology, Institutions, and Culture
With the Peoples’ Republic of China (PRC) having inextricably been interconnected with the international economy and with the increasing footprints of the Chinese firms globally, management styles too needed to be evolved accordingly. The generic literature on internationalization of firms does not account for the ideological and institutional aspects specific to China and thus does not do justice to the way the Chinese Multinational Corporations (MNCs) have evolved. Unlike most Western MNCs, the Chinese MNCs keep their roots, in letter and spirit, as they expand internationally. That said, increasing global engagement means they somehow need to align and absorb globally recognized human resource management (HRM) practices. Differences in terms of industries, provincial regulations, national priorities as expressed in the communist party policies, etc., could also be observed. In this literature review, various key aspects of global human resource management that are applicable to the Chinese MNCs are presented
