DOES FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT INFLOWS ENHANCE LABOUR PRODUCTIVITY? AN EMPIRICAL ANALYSIS
The empirical analysis presented in this paper underlines the correlation between labour productivity given by the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per employee, as dependent variable, and inward foreign direct investment (FDI) stock, as independent one. The results showed that there is not a strong positive relationship between the labour productivity and the level of inward FDI stock, as the correlation coefficient’s values were between 0.029, in the case of the inverse model, and 0.4 in the case of the power model. Thus, only 40% of the variation of labour productivity is explained by the level of inward foreign direct investment stock. Given the theories and empirical studies in the field, we concluded that a high volume of inward FDI stock will not necessarily boost the productivity, as the spillover effects depend on more important factors, such as the motivation of foreign investors, the existing conditions in the host country, the field concerned etc. Therefore, countries that aim to maximize the positive effects associated with FDI inflows should adopt proactive measures targeting to attract foreign investment mainly in knowledge and technology-intensive industries
THE INFLUENCE OF COUNTRY OF ORIGIN OVER THE PURCHASIN G DECISION
The country of origin is one of the most important phenomena which have an impact over the assessment of foreign products purchase, so represents an important competitive element for the commercialization of goods and services on foreign markets. Even thought, “The Country of Origin” effect has received a significant attention in research, present knowledge is still reduced. The country of origin is not only an element for research, but it also has a significant importance for companies. In order to increase the competitive advantage, it is essential for companies to understand the clients’ perceptions on the market. As the country of origin influences the customers’ purchasing decisions, similarly, the stereotypes specific to each country should be analyzed and used for the companies’ communication strategy. The country of origin is one of the most important phenomena which have an impact over the assessment of foreign products purchase, so represents an important competitive element for the commercialization of goods and services on foreign markets. ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE: CONTRIBUTION TO THE CITY BRAND STRATEGY
Our paper aims at highlighting the way two very different defining elements (concrete, buildings, vehicle traffic, urban landscape and music, lifestyle, feelings etc.) of a place melting together provide a contribution to a very early city branding strategy. We focus on the case of Bucharest between the two World Wars. It is the period when its architecture dramatically changed in accordance to the newest and daring construction techniques and technologies, design trends and people preoccupations for wellbeing. This heritage is creatively translated into musical compositions that enriched the Bucharest lifestyle of that period and, partially, travelled the time up to nowadays. The research is based on the content analyses of musical compositions and performances of the famous artists in the period between 1920 - 1940. As conclusion, the research reveals a dynamic and friendly city and a vibrant urban life, making the interwar Bucharest as a liveable city, as it should be characterised in the theory and practice of the place brand. This way, the slow the process of losing authenticity and to anonymizing of any place (city, region) is going through at a certain period of time, with more or less cyclicity

THE FINANCIAL IMPACT OF SAIS’ ACTIVITIES ON THE PUBLIC SECTOR’S RESOURCES. THE CASE OF ROMANIA
Supreme audit institutions are key actors in ensuring, through their specific external public audit activities, the accountability for public resources’ management. Their goals are defined by each state’s constitution and generally entail examining and reporting on the lawful, efficient, effective and economical use of public finances and assets. Since SAIs must continuously strive to demonstrate their added value to stakeholders, while also providing an institutional model beyond reproach, quantifying their impact on public finances is of the utmost importance both for SAIs and the entire society. The research aims to analyze the regulatory and reporting framework of the Romanian Court of Accounts from the audit results indicators standpoint, providing a correlational analysis with certain intrinsic and extrinsic variables. Aspects regarding the economic transition of Romania
The purpose of this article is to briefly present the actions taken in Romania\u27s economic transition from a centralized to a market economy and to explain why and where it went wrong. Wrong decisions taken in the transition process will be highlighted, while noting that measures to implement conditions conducive to the functioning of the free market, from macroeconomic stabilization, private sector development, restructuring of the national production system or the formulation and implementation of appropriate social reforms, found a marginal place in the execution of the governing program. Despite the fact that this process has already begun more than 30 years ago, there are voices claiming that this process has not yet been completed. This is because, although a transition to last a short time was expected, domestic and international social, economic and political events extended the period of uncertainty, with institutional reform being difficult to achieve. All these aspects determined us to look for the answer to the question: Where was wrong that this transition is not yet complete and when will the transition of Romania to a truly functional and wealth-generating market economy be completed

The method in this research uses descriptive methods to present a complete picture of social conditions or is intended for exploration and clarification of a social phenomenon or reality, by describing a number of variables. Digitalization in the revenue cycle can be done by implementing a barcode system and adding the existing information in the company database to a cellular tablet which become a tool for the sales team, so that the system will mutually integrate and update information data after the sales execution process is carried out. Prior to the system implementation, information can only be received by decision makers within the next 2 working days after the sales execution process is carried out
THE COUNTRY BRAND IMAGE, THE COUNTRY-OF-ORIGIN IMAGE AND THE ROMANIAN WINES IMAGE. AN EXPLORATORY APPROACH
This paper describes the results of an exploratory research on the Romanian country brand image, the country-of-origin image and the Romanian wines image. It is part of a larger study that includes, in addition to the exploratory research, case studies (Chile and France) and a quantitative research on a sample of 325 wine consumers from various countries. Qualitative research involved conducting non-directive interviews based on an interview guide on a sample of 21 wine experts from various countries - Italy, France, UK, Austria, etc., managers of wine companies, oenologists, brand managers etc. Our results show that the country brand and the country-of-origin image impact the Romanian wines image, influencing the perception of wine quality and wine image as a result of the generalization or halo effect. Furthermore, as shown in the literature review, it is possible to build the image of the country brand starting from the image of wines and their promotion in various markets alongside their origin (the case of Chile, Argentina, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia etc.). This article is original because it considers, in addition to the country-of-origin image and the image of its products, the general image of the country brand as a generic construct.
