Fomento del emprendimiento y trabajo autónomo: medidas en materia de seguridad social. Análisis jurídico y puntos críticos
Get PDFThe promotion of self-employment in our country has become particularly important in recent decades, given the structural impact of unemployment and the need to create sustainable self-employment alternatives. The legal reforms regarding the capitalization of unemployment, the flat rate of social security for new RETA contributors and the possibility of combining unemployment benefits with self-employment, among other measures, constitute a body of regulations aimed at facilitating the transition of the unemployed towards entrepreneurship. However, the effectiveness of these instruments has given rise to a broad legal debate. The restrictions regarding the receipt of the single payment or the limits on the compatibility of the benefit with self-employment show the tensions between the incentive to self-employment, financial sustainability and the safeguarding of social protection. In this context, the regulatory evolution, especially since Law 31/2015 and subsequent reforms, is a reflection of the challenges of our labor law in its attempt to adapt to the new realities of the labor market and its needs for flexibility, security and protection.La promoción del trabajo autónomo en nuestro país ha cobrado especial relevancia en las últimas décadas, dado el impacto estructural del desempleo y la necesidad de crear alternativas sostenibles a través del autoempleo. Las reformas legales en torno a la capitalización del desempleo, la tarifa plana de seguridad social para nuevos cotizantes al RETA y la posibilidad de compatibilizar la prestación por desempleo con el trabajo autónomo, entre otras medidas, configuran un cuerpo normativo orientado a facilitar la transición de los desempleados hacia el emprendimiento. No obstante, el contenido y eficacia de estos instrumentos resultan claramente mejorables como se destaca en el estudio. En este sentido, las restricciones en cuanto a la percepción del pago único o los límites en la compatibilización de la prestación con el trabajo autónomo evidencian las tensiones entre el incentivo al autoempleo, la sostenibilidad financiera y la salvaguardia de la protección social. Aun resultando evidente como la evolución normativa, -especialmente a partir de la Ley 31/2015 y reformas posteriores- constituye un reflejo de los desafíos de nuestro derecho del trabajo y de seguridad social en su intento de adaptarse a las nuevas realidades del mercado laboral y sus necesidades de flexibilidad, seguridad y protección, no es menos cierto que dicha normativa presenta numerosos puntos críticos como se destaca en el trabajo
Validez y fiabilidad de un instrumento para medir costos de transacción entre productores de café
Get PDFThe objective of this research is to determine the validity and reliability of a measurement instrument for transaction costs among coffee producers in the State of Mexico. For this purpose, 203 questionnaires were applied among coffee growers of the entity. Subsequently, its construct validity was analyzed through an exploratory factor analysis. For the analysis of convergent and divergent validity, a structural equations approach was used and the average variance extracted tests (convergent validity) and the Fornell-Larcker criterion (divergent validity) were estimated. For its part, Cronbach's alpha and the composite reliability index were used for the reliability of the instrument. When comparing three specifications, it was found that two presented a better fit. The first of them adjusts to the theory of transaction costs and divides them into three factors: information costs, negotiation and supervision. The second divides them into two: information costs and negotiation-supervision costs. The main contribution of this work is to constitute an advance in the international literature for the measurement of transaction costs in agricultural markets under conditions of validity and reliability.El objetivo de la presente investigación es determinar la validez y fiabilidad de un instrumento de medida para los costos de transacción entre productores de café del Estado de México. Para tal propósito se aplicaron 203 cuestionarios entre cafeticultores de la entidad. Posteriormente, se analizó su validez de constructo por medio de un análisis factorial exploratorio. Para el análisis de validez convergente y divergente se recurrió a un enfoque de ecuaciones estructurales y se estimaron las pruebas de varianza media extraída (validez convergente) y el criterio Fornell-Larcker (validez divergente). Por su parte, para la fiabilidad del instrumento se utilizaron el alfa de Cronbach y el índice de fiabilidad compuesto. Al comparar tres especificaciones, se encontró que dos presentaron mejor ajuste. El primero de ellos, se apega a la teoría de costos de transacción y los divide en tres factores: costos de información, negociación y supervisión. El segundo, los divide en dos: costos de información y de negociación-supervisión. La principal contribución de este trabajo se encuentra en constituir un avance en la literatura internacional para la medición de costos de transacción en mercados agrícolas bajo condiciones de validez y fiabilidad
Análisis del Padlet en el proceso educativo sobre el ciclo de las rocas a través de la Ciencia de Datos
Get PDFThe general aim of this mixed study is to analyze the use of the virtual wall called Padlet in the teaching-learning process on the rock cycle through Data Science (linear regression and decision tree algorithms). The teacher of the Geography course incorporated Padlet outside the classroom to facilitate the learning and promote the exchange of the ideas in the face-to-face sessions under Flipped Classroom. The participants are 114 students from a public high school located in Mexico City. The results of the linear regression algorithm indicate that the incorporation of Padlet positively impacted the review of educational digital resources and activities on the rock cycle. The decision tree algorithm built two models considering the characteristics of the students. This mixed research recommends the use of Padlet because this tool offers flexibility of time and space. In conclusion, virtual walls are changing the way to organize the teaching-learning process about Geography.El objetivo general de este estudio mixto es analizar el uso del muro virtual llamado Padlet en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje sobre el ciclo de las rocas a través de la Ciencia de datos. El maestro del curso de Geografía incorporó el Padlet fuera del salón de clases para facilitar el aprendizaje sobre el ciclo de las rocas y propiciar el intercambio de ideas en las sesiones presenciales bajo la estrategia del Aula invertida. Los participantes son 114 estudiantes de una preparatoria pública de la Ciudad de México. Los resultados del algoritmo regresión lineal indican que la incorporación del muro virtual impactó positivamente la revisión de las actividades y los recursos digitales educativos sobre el ciclo de las rocas. El algoritmo árbol de decisión construyó dos modelos sobre el uso del Padlet. En conclusión, los muros virtuales están cambiando la forma de organizar el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje sobre la Geografía
El docente digital: influencia de la formación inicial y permanente en la competencia digital docente
Get PDFThe digital school poses important challenges for teachers, which require the development of digital pedagogical competences in order to effectively introduce digital technologies in the classroom and in the different dimensions of teaching work. Based on this reality, this paper summarises the main results of an R&D&I project aimed at analysing the development of digital pedagogical competences of early childhood and primary school teachers in the Valencian Community (Spain). The work has used a quantitative, non-experimental, ex post facto approach, following a cross-sectional design, through the application of the DigCompEdu Check-In questionnaire to 331 in-service teachers. The results suggest that having received initial and/or in-service training in technology has an impact on the level of digital competence of teachers in all dimensions. These findings point to the need to promote this type of training in the different contexts of teachers' professional development.La escuela digital plantea importantes retos al profesorado que exigen el desarrollo de la Competencia Digital docente para introducir las tecnologías digitales de forma efectiva en el aula y en las distintas dimensiones del trabajo docente. Partiendo de esta realidad, el presente artículo sintetiza los principales resultados emergidos de un proyecto de I+D+i centrado en analizar el nivel de desarrollo de la Competencia Digital Docente del profesorado de las etapas de Educación Infantil y Primaria en la Comunitat Valenciana. El trabajo se ha desarrollado a partir de un enfoque cuantitativo no experimental de tipo ex post facto con diseño transversal, mediante la aplicación del cuestionario DigCompEdu Check-In a 331 docentes en ejercicio. Los resultados apuntan a que haber recibido formación inicial y/o formación permanente en materia tecnológica tienen una incidencia en el nivel de competencia digital docente en todas las dimensiones. Estos hallazgos inciden en la necesidad de potenciar este tipo capacitación en los diferentes contextos del desarrollo profesional del profesorado

Get PDFDuty of a teacher is to effectively engage the different types of students in the classroom into the teaching-learning environment. Each class has a variety of students varying in intelligence, communication, understanding levels, problem solving skills, learning and mathematical abilities. It is the need of the hour to make the differently abled learners with learning or intellectual disabilities to compete with regular students to avoid a social divide in class. Computer science curriculum has many topics/areas that pose learning difficulty for the differently abled. The problems faced by such learners were not taken care of sufficiently, which leaves them behind in the learning process. The paper proposes a hand gesture method, implemented using AI for number conversions, which can be used by teachers and differently abled learners. The efficiency of the hand gesture tool to understand hand gestures is tested for various classifiers and an average accuracy of 96.97% is obtained across various number systems. The hand gesture based method is evaluated among learners and proved efficient in retention and recovery of concepts. Learners showed greater improvement from pre-test to post-test scores across all categories. This method proved very helpful in engaging students, enhancing understanding, enjoyable learning, notable clarity, effectiveness, and ease of use, making it a valuable educational tool.La función primordial de un docente es lograr una participación activa y significativa de todos los alumnos en el proceso educativo. Cada clase está constituida por una diversidad de estudiantes que varían en inteligencia, comunicación, niveles de comprensión, habilidades para resolver problemas, aprendizaje y habilidades matemáticas. Es una necesidad urgente hacer que los estudiantes con discapacidades de aprendizaje o intelectuales puedan competir con los otros estudiantes para evitar una división social en el aula. El currículo de ciencias de la computación tiene muchos temas/áreas que plantean dificultades de aprendizaje para las personas con capacidades diferentes. Desafortunadamente, los problemas que enfrentan estos estudiantes no han sido abordados adecuadamente, lo que provoca que se queden atrás en el proceso de aprendizaje. El artículo propone un método de gestos manuales, implementado mediante inteligencia artificial (IA) para conversiones numéricas, que puede ser utilizado tanto por docentes como estudiantes con capacidades diferentes. La eficiencia de la herramienta de gestos manuales para interpretar gestos se probó con varios clasificadores, y se obtuvo una precisión media del 96,97 % en varios sistemas numéricos. El método basado en gestos manuales se evaluó entre los estudiantes y demostró ser eficiente en la retención y recuperación de conceptos. Los estudiantes mostraron una mayor mejora desde las puntuaciones del pre-test hasta el post-test en todas las categorías. Este método resultó muy útil para involucrar a los estudiantes, mejorar la comprensión, hacer el aprendizaje más agradable, con una claridad notable, efectividad y facilidad de uso, lo que lo convierte en una valiosa herramienta educativa
Experiencias de varones trans gestantes: transfobia y violencia obstétrica
Get PDFThis study aims to analyze the state of knowledge about the experiences of pregnant transgender men, including the process of gestation, childbirth and breastfeeding. It also seeks to reflect on the experiences with health services, obstetric violence and transphobia. For this purpose, an integrative literature review methodology was chosen to synthesize findings from various disciplines and thus achieve a broader understanding of the object of study. A systematic search was carried out in widely recognized academic databases in the fields of health, social sciences and gender studies. After a selection process, a final sample of 56 articles was obtained. A qualitative content analysis was carried out inductively, organizing the information into thematic categories. From the review and analysis it was possible to observe experiences of discrimination and invisibility in this context, showing that although there are protective laws, society is not free from the violence caused by the cisheteronormative system. In Uruguay, as in many other countries, there is a lack of studies and systematization of these experiences, as well as a lack of training of health teams on these issues, which fosters discrimination and barriers to quality care. As a result, the search for strategies on the part of trans men to avoid the risk of transphobic violence is evidenced, these actions are described and ordered in the different moments related to gestation, birth and breastfeeding.Este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar el estado del conocimiento sobre las experiencias de varones trans gestantes, incluyendo el proceso de gestación, parto y lactancia. Asimismo, busca reflexionar sobre las vivencias y experiencias con los servicios de salud, la violencia obstétrica y la transfobia. Para ello, se optó por una metodología de revisión integrativa de la literatura que permitió sintetizar hallazgos de diversas disciplinas y logrando así una comprensión más amplia del objeto de estudio. Se llevó a cabo una búsqueda sistemática en bases de datos académicas ampliamente reconocidas en los campos de la salud, ciencias sociales y estudios de género. Luego de un proceso de selección, se logró una muestra final de 56 artículos. Se procedió a realizar un análisis cualitativo de contenido, de forma inductiva, organizando la información en categorías temáticas. De la revisión y análisis se pudo observar experiencias de discriminación e invisibilidad en este contexto, mostrando que si bien existen leyes protectoras, la sociedad no está libre de la violencia provocada por el sistema cisheteronormativo. En Uruguay nos encontramos, como en muchos otros países, con la ausencia de estudios y sistematización sobre estas experiencias, así como con la falta de formación en los equipos de salud en estas temáticas lo cual fomenta la discriminación y las barreras para una atención de calidad. Como resultado, se evidencia la búsqueda de estrategias por parte de los varones trans para evitar el riesgo de violencia transfóbica, se describen y ordenan estas acciones en los diferentes momentos relacionados con la gestación, nacimiento y lactancia.Este documento procura refletir sobre as experiências de homens transgénero grávidas em diferentes países,incluindo as suas experiências de serviços de saúde, violência obstétrica e transfobia. La Naumachia Vaticana: estensione completa e probabili fasi
Get PDFOne of the great public entertainment buildings of ancient Rome, which is conventionally referred to as Naumachia Vaticana, lies buried under the Prati district, but can be better reconstructed in terms of its dimensions and its possible multiple construction phases. The apparent contradiction between the data from the De Revillas excavations of 1742 and the Rosati and Canuti excavations indicated by Nolli in 1748 and by Piranesi, can be explained by the fact that the structures were close but different, and pertinent to different phases. This would reconfirm Pirro Ligorio's hypothesis of a Hadrianic, or Trajan-Hadrianic, remake of a Neronian structure.Uno dei grandi edifici pubblici di spettacolo di Roma antica, che si conviene denominare Naumachia Vaticana, giace sepolto sotto il quartiere Prati, può essere meglio ricostruito nelle sue dimensioni e nelle sue possibili molteplici fasi costruttive. Cerámica de barniz negro en Villa Adriana (Roma, Tivoli): La evidencia del Teatro Greco
Get PDFThe article discusses three stamps on black gloss pottery that appeared during the archaeological excavations conducted by the Universidad Pablo de Olavide (Seville), in the so-called Teatro Greco of Hadrian’s Villa (Tivoli, Rome). The presence of black gloss pottery in the villa confirms that the area was inhabited during the Republican period, at least from the third century B.C. Parallels to the stamps found in Teatro Greco have appeared in other sites, placing the Republican villa within the distribution and consumption networks of the time.El artículo recoge tres sellos sobre cerámica de barniz negro aparecidos durante las excavaciones realizadas por la Universidad Pablo de Olavide (Sevilla), en la zona del Teatro Greco de Villa Adriana (Tivoli, Roma). La presencia de cerámica de barniz negro en la villa confirma la ocupacion de la zona en época republicana, al menos ya desde el siglo III a. C.

Cell death by ferroptosis in Caenorhabditis elegans models of neurodegenerative diseases. Implications of the mitochondria.
Get PDFFerroptosis is an iron-dependent cell death driven by the peroxidation of membrane phospholipids. To protect themselves from this harm, cells possess several defense systems among which we find peroxiredoxins (Prdxs). This protein family is characterized by the ability to scavenge peroxides and is composed of six members in mammals and three in Caenorhabditis elegans, PRDX-2, -3 and -6 (Ismail et al, 2019). C.elegans is a nematode that is an ideal model for the study of neurodegenerative diseases as it has conserved neurological pathways and simple organ and tissue organization (Caldero-Escudero et al, 2024). Among the three Prdx members in C.elegans, PRDX-2 and PRDX-6 are cytoplasmatic proteins, while PRDX-3 is located in the mitochondria. In this study, we have focused on the effect of these proteins in C. elegans models of polyglutamine-repeats (polyQ) protein aggregation and the possible implication in ferroptosis protection. Bearing this in mind, we have performed genetic crossing strategies to generate all double and triple mutant combinations of prdx-2, prdx-3 and prdx-6 genes. These strains have been used to determine the role of peroxiredoxins in development, progeny generation and effect on PolyQ aggregation in muscle cells using fluorescence. We demonstrate that mutations of peroxiredoxin genes, especially prdx-2, slow down the development of the nematode and reduce egg laying. Combinations of mutations in the other prdx genes enhance this phenotype. Moreover, prdx-2;prdx-3 mutants are letal, being arrested at the L3 state of the development, which might show a possible mitochondrial implication. prdx-6 simple mutants are barely affected when compared with wild type (N2) worms. However, prdx-2; prdx-6 mutants are greatly affected, having a huge decrease in lifespan and egg laying. Furthermore, there is also a reduction in the size of the worms. Finally, microscopy analysis on the integrity of the mitocondrial network are yet to be done in these mutants. In conclusion, the results obtained so far suggest that peroxiredoxins have influence on worms´ developement, maybe protecting them from ferroptosis. Also, mitochondria seem to play its own role during this process. Studies on the implication of ferroptosis and mitochondria, as well as on protein aggregation, are being carried out and need to be completed
