Hubungan Hasil Dipstik Urin (Leukosit Esterase, Nitrit dan Glukosuria) dengan Kejadian ISK pada Pegawai
A urine test with a dipstick is an alternative test for rapid leukocyte and bacterial tests to support the diagnosis of urinary tract infection (UTI). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the results of the dipstick test (leukocyte esterase, nitrite, and glucosuria) with the incidence of UTI. The research is observational analytic with a cross-sectional design, which was conducted in September-October 2020, at Campus "X". The population is 351 people, with 92 respondents. A urine test was performed with a dipstick and culture. The dipstick test is a screening step, while the culture is used to confirm the microbiological diagnosis of UTI. The results of the study using the dipstick test showed that 17 people (18,48%) were positive for leukocyte esterase, 27 people (29,35%) were positive for nitrite, and 7 people (7,61%) were positive for glucosuria (DM). The results of the urine culture test showed that 20 people (21,74%) had UTI, which consisted of 11 women and 9 men. There is a relationship between leukocyte esterase and nitrite on UTI (p-value 0.00), but there is no relationship between glucosuria and UTI (p-value 0,279). The use of the dipstick test as a screening test for the incidence of UTI has been used, but it is still necessary to continue with a culture test to be able to make a diagnosis of UTI
Efek Lip balm Ekstrak Lidah Buaya (Aloe Vera) Sebagai Pelembab Bibir
Background: Making cosmetics from synthetic materials can cause side effects and can even damage the natural shape of the skin. Lip balm preparations that are safe for users include aloe vera gel extract that can protect the skin from dehydration and maintain skin moisture. Purpose: This study aims to determine the formulation of Lip balm preparations with aloe vera extract that meets the standards of cosmetic preparations. Methods: This type of research is experimental with a pre-experimental type of single-shot case study design, using only the experimental group which was given the intervention of aloe vera gel extract on the lips of the respondents. The preparations were made into 4 formulas with varying concentrations of aloe vera gel extract 0% (F1), 6% (F2), 10% (F3), and 15% (F4). The analysis was carried out descriptively based on the results of the homogeneity test, melting temperature test, pH test, stability test, and preference test. Results: The results showed that the Lip balm preparations of the four formulas showed 75% homogeneity. Then the melting temperature of all preparations meets the requirements of the SNI melting point standard (500-700C). The acidity level (pH) of all preparations also meets the requirements of cosmetic pH standards (4.5 – 6.5). Meanwhile, the stability of all Lip balm formulations is stable in color (100%), stable in smell (100%), and stable in shape (85%). Conclusion: The most preferred preparation of aloe vera Lip balm by the panelists was formula 1 with a concentration of 10% aloe vera extract. Positive implications for the community in using aloe vera leaves as a lip moisturizer.AbstrakLatar Belakang: Pembuatan kosmetik dari bahan sintesis dapat menimbulkan efek samping, bahkan dapat merusak bentuk alami dari kulit. Sediaan Lip balm yang aman bagi pemakai diantaranya ekstrak gel lidah buaya mampu melindungi kulit dari dehidrasi dan menjaga kelembaban kulit. Tujuan: Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui formulasi sediaan Lip balm ekstrak lidah buaya (Aloe vera. L) yang memenuhi standart sediaan kosmetika. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimental dengan jenis pra eksperimental rancangan studi kasus bentuk tunggal (the one shot case study), hanya menggunakan kelompok eksperimental yang diberikan intervensi ekstrak gel lidah buaya pada bibir responden. Sediaan dibuat menjadi 4 formula dengan variasi konsentrasi ekstrak gel lidah buaya (Aloe vera L ) 0 % (F1), 6 % (F2), 10 %(F3), dan 15% (F4). Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif berdasarkan hasil uji homogenitas ,uji suhu lebur, uji pH , uji stabilitas, dan uji Kesukaan. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sediaan Lip balm dari keempat formula menunjukkan 75% homogeny; kemudian suhu lebur semua sediaan memenuhi syarat standard titik lebur SNI (500 – 700C). Tingkat keasaman (pH) semua sediaan juga memenuhi syarat standard pH kosmetik (4,5 – 6,5). Sedangkan, stabilitas sediaan Lip balm seluruh formula stabil warnanya (100%), stabil baunya (100%), dan stabil bentuknya (85%). Simpulan: Sediaan Lip balm ekstrak lidah buaya yang paling disukai panelis adalah formula 1 dengan konsentrasi ekstrak lidah buaya 10%. Implikasi yang positif terhadap masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan daun lidah buaya sebagai pelembab bibir
PENGARUH KEBISINGAN, UMUR, MASA KERJA, LAMA PAPARAN DAN PENGGUNAAN ALAT PELINDUNG TELINGA PADA TENAGA KERJA DI PERUSAHAAN KABEL OTOMOTIF
PT. Indowire Prima Industrindo is a company that manufactures copper automotive cables. In the operational process, it causes noise to reach 79-103 dBA. The study was conducted to obtain an overview of risk factors in the production section, namely age, years of service, duration of exposure, and use of PPE.The study used an observational research design with a descriptive study method, with a total sample of 62 people chooses randomly. Data collected through interviews, observations, and measurements.The results of research at PT. Indowire found that only 21% of qualified workplace noise. Most workers (93.5%) are older than 40 years old and have a working period of more than 10 years of 22.6%. All workers in the production section get noise exposure for 7 hours/day, and 21% do not use PPE. This study of noise indicates a high risk for hearing loss.There is a need for technical control efforts, the implementation of a work rotation system, training on APT, as well as providing strict supervision and policies for workers who do not use APT in noisy workplacesÂ
Efek Hepatoprotektif Bit Merah (Beta vulgaris L) Organik terhadap Abnormalitas Faal Hepar Akibat Paparan Pestisida
Pesticide exposure causes hepatic parenchymal cell damage and impaired hepatic membrane permeability. Organic red beets contain high levels of flavonoids, betanin, and polyphenols. The phytochemical compounds in beetroot are anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antihepatotoxicity. The purpose of this study was to determine the hepatoprotective effect of organic beetroot (Beta vulgaris L) on hepar physiological abnormalities due to exposure to pesticides. This type of research is an experiment with Post Test Only Randomized Control Group Design. The study population was male Wistar rats aged 2-3 months with a weight of 150-200g. The sampling technique was randomly assigned to 30 rats were divided into 6 groups. Beetroot ethanol extract intake and pesticide exposure were observed for 14 days. Liver physiological abnormalities were measured based on the levels of the enzyme cholinesterase, Gamma GT, SGOT, and SGPT. Measurement of enzymes using the IFCC method, using Stardust MC15 and Humalyzer spectrophotometer. Data analysis using Anova test. There was a hepar physiological abnormality after pesticide exposure which was indicated by a significant decrease in the cholinesterase enzyme (p-value=0,000) and a significant increase in the Gamma GT, SGOT, and SGPT enzymes (p-value=0,000). The intake of organic beetroot ethanol extract (Beta vulgaris L) significantly increased the cholinesterase enzyme back (p-value=0,000) and significantly decreased the Gamma GT, SGOT, and SGPT enzymes (p-value=0,000), approaching normal levels at a dose of 400mg/kgBW. Pengaruh Ekstrak dan Fraksi Metanol Buah Kurma Ajwa terhadap Histologi Testis, Jumlah Sperma, dan Viabilitas Spermatozoa Pada Tikus Putih (Rattus norvegicus) Jantan Galur Spraque Dawley
Background: Male’s fertility can be affected by several factors such as hypothalamic glands and pituitary, which produces FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone)and LH (Luteinizing Hormone) dysfunction and reproductive organs disorder such as testes and epididymis dysfunction due to certain illness. One of the fruits used by people to increase fertility is dates. Purpose: to find out the effect of Ajwa dates (Phoenix dactylifera) extract and water-methanol fraction addition to the testes histology, sperm amount, and spermatozoa viability of male white rats (Rattus novergicus)Sprague Dawley strain.Methods: Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with the research samples divided into five experimental groups. The steps of the methods are making of testes histology preparations, counting the amount of sperm, and counting the spermatozoa viability.Result: there is an increase in the spermatozoa viability especially on the water-methanol fraction with 300 mg/kg bb/day dosage which is shown in the one-way ANOVA test result where p-value = 0,000 with the alpha 0,05 (p<α). The counting of the sperm amount is also shown through one-way ANOVA test result where p-value = 0,000 with alpha 0,05 (p < α). Furthermore, seminiferous tubules diameter counting is also shown in the one-way ANOVA test result where p-value = 0,002 with alpha 0,05 (p < α). Conclusion: there is an effect of Ajwa dates extract and water-methanol fraction additions to the seminiferous tubules diameter, sperm amount, and spermatozoa viability.Latar Belakang: Kesuburan pria dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor antara lain adanya gangguan fungsi kelenjar hipotalamus dan hipofisis yang memproduksi FSH (Follicel Stimulating Hormone) dan LH (Luteinizing Hormone) dan gangguan dari organ reproduksi misalnya gangguan pada organ testis dan epididimis karena penyakit tertentu. Salah satu buah yang umumnya digunakan masyarakat untuk kesuburan yaitu buah kurma. Tujuan: untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak dan fraksi metanol air buah kurma ajwa (Phoenix dactylifera) terhadap histologi tesis, jumlah sperma, dan viabilitas spermatozoa pada tikus putih (Rattus novergicus) jantan galur Sprague Dawley.Metode: Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan sampel penelitian dibagi dalam 5 kelompok perlakuan. Tahapan pelaksanaannya yaitu pembuatan sediaan histologi testis, menghitung jumlah sperma, dan menghitung viabilitas spermatozoa.Hasil: menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan viabilitas spermatozoa terutama pada fraksi metanol air dengan dosis 300 mg/kgBB/hari yang ditunjukkan dengan hasil uji one way anova didapatkan nilai p = 0,000 dengan nilai alpha 0,05 (p < α). Perhitungan jumlah sperma juga meningkatkan peningkatan dengan menggunakan uji one way anova didapatkan nilai p = 0,000 dengan nilai alpha 0,05 (p < α). Sedangkan perhitungan diameter tubulus seminiferus juga mengalami peningkatan dengan menggunakan uji one way anova didapatkan nilai p = 0,002 dengan nilai alpha 0,05 (p < α). Simpulan: bahwa terdapat pengaruh pemberian ekstrak dan fraksi metanol air buah kurma ajwa terhadap diamater tubulus, viabilitas spermatozoa, dan jumlah sperma. Â
Kepatuhan Konsumsi Tablet Zat Besi Berdasarkan Tingkat Pengetahuan Ibu Hamil
One of the factors causing the high prevalence of anemia is the low compliance of pregnant women in consuming iron during pregnancy. The compliance of pregnant women in consuming iron during pregnancy cannot be separated from the level of knowledge that pregnant women have. This study aims to analyze the relationship between compliance with iron tablet consumption and the level of knowledge of pregnant women. This type of research is an analytical study with a survey method with a cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted on July 1-August 15, 2020, which was conducted at BPS Ernawati, Laren District, Lamongan Regency, with 21 respondents. The data collection technique used a questionnaire. Data analysis used fisher exact correlation test. Based on the results of the study, it showed that the majority had less knowledge about the importance of consuming iron tablets, namely as many as 10 respondents (47,6%). The majority of respondents did not comply with the consumption of iron tablets (57,1%). The majority of respondents with insufficient knowledge were not obedient, (38,1%), the majority of respondents with sufficient knowledge, were obedient as (19,1%), while the majority of respondents with high knowledge were obedient, (14,3%), and based on the statistical test results obtained p-value (0,033). This study concludes that there is a relationship between compliance with iron tablet consumption on the level of knowledge of pregnant women at BPS Diana Ernawati. Â
Daya Antibakteri Ketepeng Cina (Cassia alata L.) Terhadap Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aerugenosa, dan Klebsiella pneumonia
Penyakit kulit akibat infeksi banyak dijumpai di Indonesia dan menjadi masalah besar di bidang kesehatan. Masyarakat telah menggunakan daun ketepeng cina (Cassia alata L.) sebagai obat penyakit kulit. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aktivitas dan efektivitas antibakteri ekstrak daun ketepeng cina terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aerogenosa, dan Klebsiella pneumonia. Metode uji yang digunakan yaitu difusi disk (Kirby Bauer). Sampel yang digunakan berupa ekstrak etanol daun ketepeng cina konsentrasi 10%, 30%, 50%, 70%, dan 90%. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya zona hambat di area sekitar disk yang berisi ekstrak. Diameter zona hambat bakteri gram negatif dalam penelitian ini relatif lebih besar dibanding gram positif. Hal ini dikarenakan ekstrak yang digunakan dalam penelitian agak encer. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini ekstrak daun ketepeng cina memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa dan Klebsiella pneumonia. Konsentrasi ekstrak yang paling efektif menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus adalah 70%, dan konsentrasi 90% merupakan konsentrasi yang paling efektif dalam menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Pseudomonas aeruginosa, serta Klebsiella pneumonia
EFEKTIVITAS EKSTRAK KULIT BATANG MAJA (Aegle marmelos L) TERHADAP KEMATIAN LARVA NYAMUK Anopheles sp.
Malaria is one of the public health problems that can cause death in infants, children under five, pregnant women and reduces work productivity. Vector control by chemical means leads to vector resistance and environmental pollution and negatively impacts public and animal health. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the bark extract of Maja (Aegle marmelos L) against the death of Anopheles sp mosquito larvae with concentrations of 5%, 10%, 20%, 40%, and 50% and the observation of contact times every 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes and 120 minutes. The study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with Factorial. Extraction used maceration method, with 70% ethanol as solvent. Larvae of Anopheles sp. instar III obtained from malaria endemic area. The test used a 200 ml container, with two replications. All data were analyzed by two way ANOVA and Tukey HSD test. This study obtained mortality of 93.3% larvae at a concentration of 50% and a contact time of 120 minutes. The results of statistical analysis showed a significant effect of concentration (p=0.0001), contact time (p=0.0001), and interaction concentration-contact time (p=0.004) on the mortality of Anopheles sp. mosquito larvae. PENGARUH KEBISINGAN TERHADAP STRES KERJA PADA TENAGA KERJA DI INDUSTRI PENGGILINGAN PADI
Rice milling is one of the activities that produce high noise intensity, which can impact the health of workers. This study aims to determine the effect of noise on stress on workers at the Anugrah Mulya Rice Mill in Wates Village, Gadingrejo District, Pringsewu Regency, Lampung Province. The study used a cross-sectional design, carried out in February - May 2019. The sample is 35 workers, which is the whole of the population. Observations were made on noise sources and measured the noise level using a sound level meter. Measurements were made at 4 inside and 4 outside the room. Furthermore, interviews with workers used instruments to measure the work stress scale based on indicators or symptoms of stress, including physical symptoms, behavioral symptoms, and symptoms at work. Data were analyzed using Chi-Square statistical test. The results showed that the noise intensity in the rice milling room had exceeded the NAV of 87 dB(A) and caused work stress to 51.4% of workers. Age, gender, and noise also affect work stress. Measures to reduce noise exposure in the workplace and joint recreation for all workers can prevent work-related stress
ANALISIS EFEKTIFITAS PENGGUNAAN MOL BONGGOL PISANG DAN MOL SISA NASI PADA PEMBUATAN KOMPOS
Indonesia salah satu negara berkembang dengan besarnya populasi penduduk dan perkembangan aktifitas yang meningkat setiap tahunnya. Sehingga sampah yang dihasilkan tidak sebanding dengan pengolahan yang ada. Pengelolaan sampah yang tidak baik selain mengganggu pemandangan dan lingkungan juga dapat berimbas pada kesehatan. Penelitian ini menganalisis efektifitas MOL bonggol pisang dan MOL sisa nasi pada pembuatan kompos.Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan eksperimen dengan membuat kompos dari sampah organik rumah tangga dengan menggunakan MOL bonggol pisang dan MOL sisa nasi sebagai starter. Kualitas kompos dinilai dari suhu, pH, kadar air, dan C/N Ratio. Sedangkan efektifitas dinilai dari lama waktu pematangan kompos. Analisis yang digunakan adalah uji T dan ANOVA pada alpha=0,05.Pada perlakuan dengan MOL bonggol pisang, diperoleh rata-rata suhu=26,6oC, pH=7,3, dan kadar air=42,9%. Menggunakan MOL sisa nasi, rata-rata suhu=26,6, pH=6,9, dan kadar air=49,5. Nilai C/N Ratio pada MOL bonggol pisang sebesar 15,12 (hari ke-18), dan MOL sisa nasi sebesar 20,21 (hari ke-24). Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan perbedaan waktu pematangan kompos antara kelompok perlakuan dan kontrol (p-value=0,01). Perbedaan perlakuan dan C/N Ratio menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap lama waktu pematangan kompos (p-value<0,001). Perlu penelitian lebih lanjut untuk mendapatkan dosis MOL yang efektif, serta jenis mikroorganisme efektif
