Sürükleyici sanatta somaestetik yaklaşımlar; (un)balance xr deneyimi örneği

    Get PDF

In the context of the general purpose of this study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between relationship stability of married individuals and relational resilience and social interest. For this purpose, correlational research design was preferred among quantitative research models. Purposive sampling method, one of the non-random sampling methods, was used in the process of determining the married individuals participating in the study. The study group of the research consists of 392 married individuals living in Gaziantep, 258 of whom are female (65.8%) and 134 of whom are male (34.2%). Independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance and hierarchical regression analysis were used to analyze the data. According to the findings, it was observed that the total score of relationship stability differed significantly in terms of education level and frequency of routine togetherness, but not in terms of gender and socioeconomic status. When demographic variables were analyzed in terms of relationship stability sub-dimensions, relationship satisfaction, relationship investment and commitment dimensions did not show significant differences in terms of socioeconomic levels, while the dimension of evaluating the quality of options differed significantly. While relationship satisfaction, evaluation of the quality of options and attachment levels differed significantly according to the frequency of visiting relatives, no significant difference was found in the dimension of relationship investment. The four sub-dimensions of relationship stability differ significantly according to the frequency of routine togetherness. When the relationships between the variables were analysed, it was concluded that there was a significant positive relationship between relationship stability, relational resilience and social interest. According to the results of the hierarchical regression analysis, 24% of the variance in relationship stability was explained by relational resilience and 2% by social interest, and both variables explained approximately 26% of relationship stability. According to these findings, relationship stability of married individuals can be explained by relational resilience and social interest variables

Assessing the palliative aspects of green innovations in the non-linear tendencies of environmental sustainability-financial globalization nexus among West African states

A reconciliation of the disagreement on whether financial globalization (FG) affects ecological footprint through the scale, technique and composition effects cannot be achieved without an explicit understanding of the direct and indirect interactions of FG with environmental sustainability. Hence, the novel perspective of this study lies in the investigation of how green innovations moderate the non-linear tendencies in the FG-environmental sustainability link among western African states given the abundance of natural resources and the prevailing pace of economic growth. The core findings are obtained from robust analysis based on cross-sectional autoregressive distributed lag (CS-ARDL) technique, the augmented mean group (AMG) technique, and the common correlated effects mean group (CCEMG) advanced estimators. Firstly, the beneficial ecological impacts of green innovations were observed. As per direct impact, enhanced financial globalization (FG) exhibits non-linear detrimental ecological effects. However, green innovations cushion the observed adverse ecological effects of FG. Furthermore, resource rents reduce ecological footprint within the moderating framework of green innovation as the environmental Kuznets curve (EKC) is validated among the states. Additionally, a bidirectional causal link between financial globalization, green innovations, economic growth, natural resources, and ecological footprint was observed. Thus, the significant policy implication is for the West African states to decisively increase their investments in green innovations while strategically encouraging the share of ecologically friendly resources in total resource utilization to guarantee a more sustainable environment. © 2024 China University of Geosciences (Beijing) and Peking Universit

With the impact of changes in technology, educators are in search of new methods in learning environments. Problems such as the limited participation of students in experimental studies in biology teaching, the fact that biology lessons are mostly teacher-centered, the intensity of Latin concepts and the abstract content in some cases make it difficult for students to learn biology. It has been observed that this situation reduces the sense of curiosity in students, as well as decreasing their interest, motivation and therefore their achievement. However, in the name of environmental literacy, individuals' understanding and protection of nature in cooperation with curiosity, interest and intrinsic motivation are among the first goals of biology, which is the "Science of Life". It is thought that innovative approaches to be used in biology education will enable students to adapt to different learning environments and gain 21st century skills. In this research, serious games, which are a type of educational games, were utilized and the effect of narration on students in serious games was wondered. Serious games, whose primary purpose is not entertainment, are designed to gain knowledge in any field of expertise, to increase the motivation of individuals and to improve their participation and knowledge retention rates. The aim of this study is to develop a narrative game model as an innovative game model in biology teaching and to evaluate its effectiveness. In the evaluation process, narrative games were found to be more effective than educational games in teaching biology. The sample of the study consists of two 10th grade classes of a high school in Nizip district of Gaziantep province in the first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. The research process was completed in 14 weeks with 32 students in Experimental 1 group and 33 students in Experimental 2 group. Within the scope of the narrative game model developed, the acquisitions belonging to the 10th grade Biology course "Cell Divisions" unit were prepared by the researcher with Pixton and Story jumper from web 2.0 tools and 3 narrative games (13 games in total) were created in this context. Narrative games were applied to Experiment 1 group and educational games obtained by extracting narrative elements were applied to Experiment 2 group. Quantitative data were obtained from the academic achievement test, academic motivation scale for learning biology, attitude scale for biology course, motivation scale for cooperative game learning strategies in Experiment 1 and Experiment 2 groups. The academic achievement test was administered as pretest-posttest and retention test; the scales were administered as pretest-posttest. Qualitative data were obtained through end-of-lesson diaries and interview technique in Experiment 1 and Experiment 2 groups. In Experiment 1 group, qualitative data were also obtained from the story maps applied simultaneously with the end-of-lesson diaries. The end-of-lesson diaries and story maps applied to the Experimental 1 group were applied at 4-2 and 2-week intervals; the interview technique was applied at the end of the 14th week. The quantitative data obtained in the study were transferred to the SPSS 25 statistical program and ANOVA analysis was performed for mixed measures of the data obtained in line with the research questions. Qualitative data were integrated by comparing and relating them with qualitative data results through content analysis. It was observed that there were significant differences within the scope of the measurements made in the students to whom the narrative game was applied. As a result, it was determined that quantitative data were supported by qualitative data and the model developed could be integrated with the learning objectives of narratives in terms of academic achievement, cooperation motivation and academic motivation. This situation showed that there was an increase in the puns of the students in the experimental 1 and experimental 2 groups, but the narrative games were more effective and the developed narrative games model was functional. In this context, the narrative games program has made significant contributions to the learning of biology subjects by making connections with daily life, thus making significant contributions to socialization and increasing environmental literacy. In the light of these contributions, the narrative game program can be used to increase PISA science literacy proficiency levels

    No full text
A novel molecularly imprinted electrochemical sensor is presented based on one-dimensional ultrathin manganese oxide nanowires/two-dimensional molybdenum titanium carbide MXene (MnO2NWs@Mo2TiC2 MXene) for fenitrothion (FEN) determination. After the synthesis of MnO2NWs@Mo2TiC2 MXene ionic nanocomposite was successfully completed with a facile hydrothermal and the pillaring methods, a new type molecular imprinted electrochemical sensor based on MnO2NWs@Mo2TiC2 MXene was constructed with cyclic voltammetry (CV) polymerization including pyrrole monomer and FEN target molecule. After the characterization studies including spectroscopic, electrochemical and microscopic methods, the analytical applications of the prepared sensor were performed. A linearity of 1.0×10−9–2.0×10−8 mol L−1 was obtained and the values of the quantification limit (LOQ) and the detection limit (LOD) were 1.0×10−9 mol L−1 and 3.0×10−10 mol L−1, respectively. The studies of selectivity, stability and reproducibility of the constructed sensor based on MnO2NWs@Mo2TiC2 nanocomposite and molecularly imprinting polymer (MIP) were carried out in detail. Finally, the developed sensor was applied to white flour samples with the values close to 100%. Graphical Abstract: (Figure presented.). © The Author(s) 2024

    Get PDF
Introduction: This study aims to investigate the relationship between upper extremity lateralization and dual-task cost in individuals with Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy (HCP). This is a new and unknown issue in Cerebral Palsy. Material and methods: The descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted with 63 individuals between the ages of 7 and 17 years: 40 with Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy and 23 typically-developing peers. The individuals with HCP received a pre-assessment performed with the Gross Motor Function Classification System, Manual Ability Classification System, and Communication Function Classification System. Left-right judgement was assessed by the laterality judgement task, and manual ability was evaluated with the Nine Hole Peg Test (NHPT). Functional tests included upper extremity functional tests; dual-task interference was also assessed between this test and the NHPT. Results: A significant difference was found between the HCP group and the typically-developing group regarding lateralization accuracy and dual-task cost (p < 0.05). Lateralization response time was related with dominant cognitive NHPT dual-task cost (r = 0.327, p = 0.040). Lateralization accuracy was also related to dominant cognitive NHPT dual-task cost, and lateralization response time with non-dominant motor NHPT dual-task cost (r = -0.360, p = 0.023; r = 0.312, p = 0.050, respectively). Conclusions: Individuals with HCP have difficulty with dual tasks compared to typically developing peers. A relationship was observed between upper extremity lateralization and dual-task cost in individuals with HCP. This can be a significant consideration when designing more effective intervention approaches on upper extremity lateralization and dual-task individuals with HCP. © 2024 Termedia Publishing House Ltd.. Fenpicoxamid-ımprinted surface plasmon resonance (spr) sensor based on sulfur-doped graphitic carbon nitride and ıts application to rice samples

    Get PDF
This research attempt involved the development and utilization of a newly designed surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor which incorporated sulfur-doped graphitic carbon nitride (S-g-C3N4) as the molecular imprinting material. The primary objective was to employ this sensor for the quantitative analysis of Fenpicoxamid (FEN) in rice samples. The synthesis of S-g-C3N4 with excellent purity was achieved using the thermal poly-condensation approach, which adheres to the principles of green chemistry. Afterwards, UV polymerization was utilized to fabricate a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) chip imprinted with FEN, employing S-g-C3N4 as the substrate material. This process involved the inclusion of N,N′-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as the initiator, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as the cross-linker, methacryloylamidoglutamic acid (MAGA) as the monomer, and FEN as the analyte. After successful structural analysis investigations on a surface plasmon resonance (SPR) chip utilizing S-g-C3N4, which was imprinted with FEN, a comprehensive investigation was conducted using spectroscopic, microscopic, and electrochemical techniques. Subsequently, the kinetic analysis applications, namely the determination of the limit of quantification (LOQ) and the limit of detection (LOD), were carried out. For analytical results, the linearity of the FEN-imprinted SPR chip based on S-g-C3N4 was determined as 1.0–10.0 ng L−1 FEN, and LOQ and LOD values were obtained as 1.0 ng L−1 and 0.30 ng L−1, respectively. Finally, the prepared SPR sensor’s high selectivity, repeatability, reproducibility, and stability will ensure safe food consumption worldwide. © 2023 by the authors

Demonstration of ınteraction between carbapenem group antibiotics and different ımmunosuppressant drugs by molecular docking

    No full text
Background: It has been shown that drugs used parenterally cause errors in immunosuppres-sant concentrations measured by LC-MS / MS method. It is yet unknown whether this measurement error is due to drug-drug interaction or analytical interference. Objective: The aim of this study is to investigate the possible interaction and inhibition concentrations of broad-spectrum antibiotics (ertapenem, meropenem, imipenem) with 4 different immunosuppressants (tacrolimus, sirolimus, everolimus, cyclosporine A) by molecular docking. Methods: The docking results of ertapenem, meropenem, and imipenem-cilastatin drugs, which are fre-quently used in intensive care units and wards, were analyzed with the Autodock 4.2 program. Binding energy levels and inhibition concentrations were recorded. Results: The highest binding energies of the most stable conformations, providing the best compatibility among the active ingredients, belong to cilastatin. The interaction energy of cilastatin with sirolimus in 320 conformations was calculated as-4.08 kcal/mol. Sirolimus interacted with ertapenem at-3.43, imipenem at-2.53, and meropenem at-3.84 kcal/mol. According to these values, the receptor, which is the most compatible host with all ligand molecules, is sirolimus. The least interaction energy value was calculated between cyclosporine and imipenem (-1.12 kcal / mol). Conclusion: Concerning the most stable conformations of models docked with Autodock tools, it has been determined that carbapenems interact with immunosuppressants. Since the detected inhibition con-centration levels can be seen in blood samples taken immediately after carbapenem injection, immuno-suppressant measurement is recommended before the use of carbapenem in immunosuppressant monitoring of transplant patients. © 2024 Bentham Science Publishers

    Get PDF
This study aims to compare and analyse the effects of context-based vocabulary activities with technology-assisted tools and printed materials on fourth-grade primary school students’ vocabulary knowledge and learning motivation. One of the quasi-experimental designs, the “pretest-posttest control group design”, was used in the study. There were two experimental groups and one control group. Technology-assisted context-based vocabulary activities were used in one of the experimental groups, and printed materials with context-based vocabulary activities were used in the other experimental group. The implementation was carried out in the control group according to the current Turkish curriculum. It was planned to teach vocabulary by utilising sentence and text context in context-based vocabulary activities. The research was conducted with students studying in three different fourth grade classes of a primary school, which were equivalent to each other according to the pre-tests. A total of 91 students from three groups (experimental-1: 30, experimental-2: 30, control: 31) participated in the study. The Vocabulary Knowledge Achievement Test (VKAT) developed by Yaşar-Sağlık (2022) and the Vocabulary Learning Motivation Scale (VLMS) developed by Genç-Ersoy and Belet-Boyacı (2018) were used in the study. After the pre-tests were applied, 14 lesson hours of interventions were carried out over 7 weeks. After the implementation, the process was finalised by applying post-tests. The data were analysed using one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) on the difference in scores (post-test – pre-test). Also, the Tukey post hoc test was used to determine the source of the difference. In addition, partial eta squared (η2) values were calculated to determine effect sizes. As a result, it was found that context-based vocabulary activities conducted with technology-assisted tools and printed materials were significantly more effective in improving students’ vocabulary knowledge than the current Turkish curriculum. In addition, it was also revealed that technology-assisted activities were more effective in improving students’ vocabulary knowledge than the activities carried out using printed materials. In terms of vocabulary learning motivation, the results are slightly different. It was found that context-based vocabulary activities conducted with technology-assisted tools were significantly more effective in improving students’ vocabulary learning motivation than the current Turkish curriculum and the context-based vocabulary activities conducted with printed materials. In line with these results, it is recommended that technology-assisted context-based vocabulary activities be used to increase students’ vocabulary knowledge and learning motivation. © The Author(s) 2024
