Get PDFAyurveda is a wide and deep science which itself is full of knowledge and many scientific facts. With time these facts have been established by the great pioneers of Ayurveda. Their contributions for establishing various concepts create milestone in the history of Ayurveda. Innumerable researches and experiments are going on in the field of Ayurveda but some controversies are still remaining. Drishti is one of the controversial terminologies in Shalakya Tantra and there are many concepts which have been given time to time and are still evolving. At some places Drishti is taken as a functional entity and at other places as a structural unit. It also appears to have both structural and functional properties in few contexts. In the present study attempts are made to clarify the concepts regarding properties of Drishti on the basis of Ayurvedic texts and modern ophthalmology and conclusions have been drawn accordingly

Some of the proven principles of management procedures and medicaments include intake of purified medicated ghee (Ghritarpana),nourishing eye both therapy (Tarpana), and processed liquid instillation through nostrils by drops or powders (Nasya),eye both therapy (pariseka),application of medicated paste on eye lids (Bidalaka)and collyrium(Anjana),these procedures improve the vision by strengthening of the cilliarymuscles,maintaining unctuousness of the eye ball,proper accommodation of the lens,delays the senile muscles,maintaining unctuousness hand these procedures also helpful in dealing with inflammatory condition like conjunctivitis,hordeolum,Corneal ulcer,staphyloma,panophthalmitisetc.thuskriyakalpa can be done in healthy as well as diseased eye conditions to improve the ophthalmic heath

Unfortunately over 18,000 users developed contact vitiligo after using it, leading to recall the product. An active ingredient in the product is “Rhododendrol” also a phenol. This type of chemicals appears to be anlog of the amino acid tyrosine that disrupt melanogenesis and result in autoimmunity and melanocytes destruction

SCREENING OF DIFFERENT PARTS OF ANNONA SQUAMOSA EXTRACT FOR ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY
Get PDFAnnona squamosa belongs to the family Annonaceae, commonly known as custard apple. A comparative antibacterial activity of methanolic leaf and seed cotyledon extracts of Annona squamosa were evaluated against three bacterial strains namely Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, staphylococcus aureus using agar well diffusion method. Maximum inhibition was found with 40 mg/ml concentration of methanolic leaf and seed cotyledon extracts against all the tested organisms under investigation. The minimum inhibitory concentrations were determined by disk diffusion method. To find the compound responsible for antibacterial activity thin layer chromatography was done.The FTIR analysis was performed represented the presence of various functional groups. The phytochemical analysis was performed. The study suggests that the leaf and seed cotyledon extracts of Annona squamosa are promising the development of phytomedicine for antimicrobial properties

In the play, there are several fragments of stories that can be interpreted in the guidance and counseling services during the Covid-19 pandemic. In “Lakon Marifat Dewa Ruci”, there are several discourses (advice) that can make individuals more active in seeking knowledge, behaving commendably (well) in accordance with applicable rules and norms, and virtuous character. The very famous discourse (advice) namely “Sangkan Paraning Dumadi” which implies that between body and soul there must be a balance and all life in this world will definitely return to God Almighty.
