So as to show differences in attitudes, the two sex of the applicant and the prospective occupations were inflated. The hypothesis is that, in comparison to liberals, conservatives would be unlikely to hire men and women for gender atypical positions than male or female stereotypical positions
QUALITY ASSURANCE IN HIGHER EDUCATION: NAAC
Get PDFHigher education is the center of society. India's Higher Education Program is one of the most comprehensive programs in the world. India's Higher Education Program has been expanded during the national independence of several universities, technicians, research centers, etc throughout the country to produce and disseminate information that is aimed at providing the easiest access to higher education in indigenous Indians. New challenges facing the education system in this country cannot be met without the complete completion of the institution of management of higher education institutions. This is even more important because of globalization, which requires talent, ability, driving, action and comforts at several levels. If the management of higher education will be strong one then quality can be maintained in that level, so National Academic Accreditation Council (NAAC) has been formed for quality assurance in higher education. The present paper is based on the quality in higher education with reference to the role of NAAC. In this paper the core values of NAAC are emphasized with regards higher education in India. Along with that the quality dimensions of higher education has been narrated with reference to product, software and service dimensions as a whole. Finally, some quality assessment tools are being mentioned to assure quality in higher education institutions by NAAC
Sustainable learning a new paradigm in environmental education: a study to facilitate awareness among the school children in some selected schools in Nadia district, West Bengal, India
Get PDFEnvironmental education has been  introduced as a comprehensive lifelong education responsive to changes in a rapidly changing world. But the ongoing environmental education including sustainable learning which has focused its importance of remedying environmental ignorance through awareness development has failed to achieve the desired objectives. Understanding environmental paradigm and adoption of pro-environmental attitude will be a critical endeavour in this century as environmental degradation has threatened the quality of life for all global citizens. Positive changes in humanity’s treatment of the environment may not be possible until environmentally supportive paradigms replace other underlying paradigms. Though many studies have tried to focus on the significance of environmental paradigm but the paradigm shifts from instrumental learning to lifelong learning in environmental education remained unexamined. The present study tries to explore the paradigm shifts in environmental education a phenomena whereby an individual socialized with non-environmental paradigm undergoes some experience that brings transformation in his pro-environmental behavior. The study conducted among 11th grade school going children in some selected schools in Nadia district, West Bengal, India through survey reveal that a positive change has been noticed in their pro-environmental behavior related to connectedness to nature when exposed to a video film on the environmental degradation due to human activities. This is rather good indication for future strategy related to environmental education which will be the beginning of sustainable learning for developing environmentally sensitive citizenry capable to take decision against environmental degradation
GREEN COMPUTING: Efficient and Eco-Friendly Computing
Get PDFWith rising energy cost and growing environmental concerns, GREEN COMPUTING is receiving more and more attention. Software and system architectures play a crucial role in both computing and telecommunication systems, and they have been analysed for performance, reliability, maintainability, and security. Yet, little work on analysis based on the amount of energy that the CPU/processor will consume has been reported. Since most communication systems have to run 24/7 (e.g., most server farms, servers in a cloud computing infrastructure), the energy consumption of a system based on a specific software architecture is of great importance. For example, high energy consuming always leads to higher operational cost of the system. High energy consumption also implies more heat produced, thus, more power is required for cooling-down. As the number of computers is increasing day by day, so is the amount of electricity consumed by them which in turn is increasing the carbon content in atmosphere. This problem has been realized by the researchers and several corrective measures are being taken which help in minimizing the power usage of computers and this process is called as Green Computing

Hospitals are most important elements in any health care delivery system. In health care, CRM practices are essentially patient focused strategies that involve effective management of hospital interface and interaction with patient. In his study investigating the doctors and management insight of inter-professional teamwork in their hospitals. It could also differ in manifestation of cultural diversity from the hospital service quality improvement point of view. A structured questionnaire was collected data from 100 doctors and management respondents participants were selected randomly those are working in private hospital in Karnataka for selected healthcare facility provider. The collected data were analyzed through regression and SEM Model. This paper is an attempt to find out inter-relationships between doctors and management perception in customer satisfaction to be supported loyalty. Analyze to opinion about the doctors and hospital management ought to bring about an understanding of cultural diversity towards quality improvement and to offer suggestions to have better CRM practices to enhance the quality of service in the selected private hospital in Karnataka

The study was made with a sample of 200 students through a structured questionnaire with close ended questions. Statistical, graphical methods, showing the comparative analysis based on the quantitative and qualitative data collected from the students, which has been utilized to generate practicable solutions and conclusions
