“SWOT Analysis of Goods and Service Tax and It’s Impact on Indian Economyâ€
GST mean Goods and Services Tax. Goods and Services Tax (GST) is a comprehensive tax levy on manufacture, sale andconsumption of goods and services at a national level. One of the biggest taxation reforms in India the (GST) isall set to integrate State economies and boost overall growth. Previously, companies and businesses pay lot ofindirect taxes such as VAT, service tax, sales tax, entertainment tax, octroi and luxury tax. After implementationof GST all these taxes are ceased to exist. There is only one tax, that too at the national level, monitored by thecentral government. GST is also different in the way it is levied — at the final point of consumption and not atthe manufacturing stage. Previously, separate tax rates were applied to goods and services. Under GST, there isonly one tax rate for both goods and services. The goods and services Tax is indeed a further significantimprovement towards a comprehensive indirect tax reforms in the country. Integration of goods and servicestaxation would give India a world class tax system and improve tax collections. It would end distortions ofdifferential treatments of manufacturing and service sector. GST is expected to create a business friendlyenvironment, as price levels and hence inflation rates would come down overtime as a uniform tax rate isapplied. It will also improve government's fiscal health as the tax collection system would become moretransparent, making tax evasion difficult. An attempt is made in this paper to study SWOT Analysis, the concept of goods andservice tax and its impact on Indian economy. The study also aims to know the advantages and challenges ofGST in Indian scenario
Comparative study (II): On the longevity of pupa and adult moths in selected few bivoltine purelines of silkworm Bombyx mori (L) in all the seasons of the year.
A comparative study utilizing the six multivoltines, in three seasons of the year between pupal and adult moth stage of silkworm of reveals a positive significance. Pupal duration was calculated after chrysalis stage among six multivoltines clearly indicated that the duration of pupae in the pre race is lowest where as the Daizo race exhibited the longest pupal duration of 240 hours. Silkworm adult life span evaluated in three seasons in the two sexes (male moth and female moth) it is clear that race pre exhibited shortest adult life span of 84 hours in mated males and 114 hours in mated females during pre-monsoon period and Daizo race revealed prolonged adult life span 222 hours in unmated males and 242 hours in unmated females during post-monsoon period. In the present studies among the two sexes, the unmated (virgin) male and females moths exhibited the longest life span than those of mated male and female moths. The influence of three seasons on adult life span is very clear from the experiment. The effect of pre-monsoon is more conspicuous (revealing short lifespan) where as in post-monsoon season lifespan is longest both in the pupal and adult. The results obtained from the present studies clearly demonstrate that racial differences, seasonal impact and sex wise differences are important in the expression of adult longevity
Women in Contemporary Islamic Society: A Case Study of Iran
With the overthrow of the Shah and the rise to power of Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979, Iran changed from a monarchy to an Islamic regime based on an Islamic Constitution and Islamic laws. As a result, a western stereotype of Iranian women as veiled and helpless creatures got created. This stereotypical view has dominated public opinion since 1979 in both Western societies in general, and among western scholars in particular. Meanwhile, a remarkable development related to Iranian women has been taking place in the years after the revolution, i.e. a growth in labor force, political participation and increasing access to education. In this context it can therefore be argued that paradoxically the Islamic revival in Iran has been having a positive influence on the development of the status and the position of women in the public sphere in contemporary Iran. This paper aims to highlight the current position of women in Iran and how far they have been able to utilize the rights and privileges granted to them by the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran
The Impact of Risk Management on the Performance of Insurance Companies
Risk Management Like other fields of knowledge management and its application utilize specific knowledge, instructions, regulations and principles to achieve predefined predictions and objectives. Risk management has developed principles and procedures that individuals, enterprises (commercial and industrial), insurance companies and governments can use to perform the foresight task of assessing, controlling and financing losses based on the systematic risk management approach. To this end, it is always working to answer two fundamental questions about the likely future consequences of the risk management criteria, securing organizations and investments against risks and losses requires the formation of an intellectual and practical system that integrates risk-based policymaking. The study show that insurance companies with great risk management have better return on equity and better performance in other key business factors in comparison with competitors who do not provide good importance to risk management
A STUDY OF AGILE METHODOLOGIES AND ITS USE IN SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
Agile software design and development methodologies have been gaining ri-gorous attention in the software engineering research community since their early introduction in the mid-nineties in addition to being highly adopted by the software development industry. During the past forty years, new software development approaches were introduced to fit the new cultures of the software development companies. Most software companies nowadays aim to produce valuable software in short time period with minimal costs, and within unstable, changing environments. Agile Methodologies were thus introduced to meet the new requirements of the software development companies. This paper presents a review of three agile approaches including Extreme Programming, Agile Modeling, and SCRUM, describes the differences between them and recommends when to use them
An efficient technique for lossless address data compression using adaptive SPIHT Algorithm in WSN
The computer is becoming more and more powerful day by day. Data compression is a popular approach to reducing data volumes and hence lowering disk I/O and network data transfer times. While several lossy data compression techniques have demonstrated excellent compression ratios, lossless data compression techniques are still among the most popular ones. Sensor networks represent a non-traditional source of information, as readings generated by sensors flow continuously, leading to an infinite stream of data. Sensors are non-reactive elements which are used to monitor real life phenomena, such as live weather conditions, network traffic, etc. They are usually organized into networks where their readings are transmitted using low level protocols
Corporate Environmental Accounting: Issues and Challenges in India
Today, World is facing the twin problem of promoting economic development and protecting the environment. There is need for proper balance between environmental protection and sustainable and economic development. It is observed that, many efforts have been done to develop a mechanism of incorporating environmental information with national income to compute economic development. But without the proper environmental accounting data, both in the corporate level and the Government, it next to impossible to determine whether anybody have fulfilling their responsibilities towards the environment. The implementation of Environmental Accounting can help the goals of corporate and other stakeholders in reducing the costs and decreasing the pollution. This study attempts to address the development of corporate environmental accounting and the problems associated with that. This study identifies the development of the corporate environmental accountingadopted by the sample companies in India
ROLE OF INTERMEDIARIES (An empirical study in mutual fund Investor buying behaviour in Greater Visakhapatnam City)
This paper discusses the role need to be played by Intermediaries in the sale of mutual funds and the after sale service. They play a major role in selling funds to investors by the way of assisting AMCs and providing timely information to investors. They are primarily responsible for penetration of fund units deeper into market. However, the sale of mutual funds was confined majorly to T-15 cities especially Mumbai which is heading the head offices of all most all fund houses. The need for distribution houses in selling funds and assisting AMCs is arising due to the fact of IFAs increasing in number along with their unprofessional sale practices like mis selling, up selling and cross selling. They need to play a big brother role in informed decision making of investors. In this paper Distribution houses were studied their practices in mutual fund push into the market, customer satisfaction measures taken by them, after sales support to AMCs. The paper reports that in Visakhapatnam city the practice of mutual fund products is not up to the mark and needs to be strengthened
The Future: Machine learning
Learning is a process or activity of understanding and improving one’s then it may be human or machineability to perform a operations efficiently. Machine learning is one of sub-field of computer science, which enables computers to learn and analyze thinks without being or writing explicitly programmed. It basically evolved from AI(artificial intelligence) via pattern recognition and computational learning theory. It also explores the area of algorithms, which can make high end predictions on data. Currently it deployed in a wide range of computing tasks, where designing efficient algorithms and programs becomes rather difficult, such as email spam filtering, optical character recognition, search engine improvement etc.Advance machine learning will basically concentrate on modeling, generation, and prediction of multiple inter-dependent variables
