The Effect of Three Good Things Technique on Self-Leadership to Nursing Students
Background: Every nursing student must develop self-leadership skills. It has been proven that nursing students who score high in self-leadership would have better performance and self-efficacy. The Three Good Things intervention is a potential strategy for enhancing self-leadership.
Aim: The aimed of the research was to identify the effect of the three nice things technique on nursing students\u27 self-leadership.
Method: This research is a quantitative study using a Quasi-Experimental design with Two Group Pre and Post-test, involving 60 nursing students as respondents. Data collection with the RSLQ questionnaire (Revised Self-Leadership Questionnaire) and data analysis using Paired Sample ANCOVA and T-Test
Results: This study showed the picture of low self-leadership before intervention both in the control and intervention groups. Then after the intervention, the self-leadership was still low in the control group, while the intervention group showed a high self-leadership, then there was a significant difference in self-leadership between before and after the intervention in the intervention group with a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05). There was no significant difference between the control before and after the intervention with a p-value of 0.335 (p>0.05). And the three good things intervention proved to have an effect on self-leadership in nursing students (p-value of 0.000).
Conclusion: This study showed an effect of providing three good things interventions on self-leadership in nursing students. This research is expected for the institution to conduct training or workshops on self-leadership in maintaining the consistency of student self-leadership in the institution.
The Effect of Touch Less Spiritual Therapy and Yin Yoga Toward Student’s Perceived Stress During Covid-19 Pandemic
Aims : The COVID-19 pandemic has brought massive changes in our lives. This change is also experienced by health students. Movement limitation, changes in social interactions, decrease in learning performance, and learning methods changes are just some of the stressors they tackled nowadays. Prolonged stressors will lead to psychological disorders, especially for health students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of touchless spiritual therapy and yin yoga on student perceived stress during the Covid 19 pandemic.
Design : This research was quantitative study using a quasi experimental post-test design.
Methods : The population of this study were all students at STIKes Panti Waluya Malang, a total of 143 people. Based on Slovin formula, 60 samples were obtained which were taken using a simple random sampling technique. Respondents were divided into two groups, namely treatment and control, each group consisted of 30 respondents. The treatment group did modified touchless spiritual therapy and yin yoga five days a week for 6 weeks, while the control group didn’t. After 6 weeks, respondents of the two groups were asked to filled Perceived Stress Scale questionnaire. Data collection was carried out in the range of early November 2021 to late January 2022. The data was then processed with SPSS 26.
Results : Mann-Whitney U Test showed a p value <0.05 (0.03). This means that there was an effect of touchless spiritual therapy and yin yoga toward student’s perceived stress.
Conclusions : This study showed that during the pandemic, students experienced stress. Both spiritual approach and physical exercise provided through touchless spiritual healing and yin yoga could help students reduced their perceived stress. Further treatment was needed in order to develop our students psychological health so they become a resillient person which prevent them suffered from mental illness during the pandemic
The Effect of Health Education on Diet Compliance Among Patients with Diabetes Mellitus in the Sukaraja Public Health Center’s Work Area in Sukabumi Regency
Aims: There is a significant public health problem in which the number of people diagnosed with diabetes is increasing year after year. One possible explanation for this is a lack of adherence to the DM diet. As a result, it is critical to conduct health education regarding DM diet compliance. The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of health education on dietary compliance in patients with diabetes mellitus in the Sukaraja Public Health Center\u27s work area in Sukabumi Regency.
Methods: This study employs a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. Purposive sampling was used to collect the sample. 38 respondents were divided into two groups, each with 18 respondents: the intervention group and the control group. Analysis of data using the Paired Sample T-Test and the Independent Sample T-Test.
Results: After health education in the intervention group, there was an increase in dietary compliance in patients with diabetes mellitus (p = 0.004), and in the control group there was an increase in dietary compliance (p = 0.021) and there was a difference between dietary adherence in the intervention group and the control group (p = 0.024).
Conclusion and Suggestion: There is an influence of health education on the dietary compliance of diabetes mellitus patients, so it is hoped that this health education can be provided continuously to improve the dietary compliance of diabetes mellitus patients and serve as an evidence-based practice for the Sukaraja Health Center
The Experience of Nursing Care Patient with ECG Letal in Intensive Care Unit Sekarwangi Hospital
Aims: Nurses are required to provide assistance to patients with an accurate Lethal ECG description and maintain their professionalism as a nursing care provider. In carrying out nursing care in the ICU room for patients with lethal ECG, there are many factors that influence the quality of care.
Objective: Toexplore the experience of nurses care patients with lethal EKG in the ICU,SekarwangiHospital.
Method: This research is a qualitative research with a phenomenological design. The participants selection used purposive sampling technique with 6 nurse. Data obtained through in- depth interviews and analyzed using the Colaizy technique.
Results: This studyresulted in 5 themes, namely 1) Nursing Soft Skill , 2) Primary care for Lethal\u27sECGPatient,3)CollaborationNursingsTeam.4).Hemodynamicstatus,5)Psychological nusring respons. Conclusion: Nurses need to understand their roleas providers of nursing care. Nurses\u27 knowledge needs to be improved so that theimplementation of nursing care can be more optimal. Suggestion This study isexpected to provide an overview and strategy incarrying out nursing care topatients with a lethal ECG description for nurses in the ICU so that nursing carecanbecarried outoptimally
Academic Stress Affects Smartphone Addiction in Nursing Student
Aims: The development of information and communication technology today is very beneficial for public. Smartphones are cellular phones with many capabilities, ranging from resolution, features, to computing with various benefits especially for students. Smartphones are used in various ways including to obtain information, for financial transactions both shopping and work or for social media. Continuous use of smartphones in students can lead to smartphone addiction which can cause physical and psychological health problems. Purpose: To identified relationship between academic stress and smartphone addiction in nursing student.
Methods: This study used cross sectional design with purposive sampling. There were 150 respondent who meet the inclusion criteria. The instruments used were the respondent characteristic questionnaire, the Smartphone Addiction Scale Short Version (SAS-SV) questionnaire, and the Student Life Stress Inventory (SLSI) questionnaire.
Results: Majority respondents were female (90.7%), senior high school majoring was science (40%), second year of study (36.7%), not experienced smartphone addiction, experienced severe academic stress (54%), and mean of age was 19.67 year.In bivariate analysis there was a significant relationship between age (p = 0.048), year of study (p = 0.038) and academic stress (p = 0.035) with smartphone addiction.Smartphone addiction did not have a significant relationship with gender.
Conclusion: A significant relationship were found between age, year of study, and academic stress with smartphone addiction.
Suggestion: To prevent smartphone addiction in nursing student, academic stress should be reduced with develop educational programs for students to control the academic stres
The Effectiveness Of The Protective Barrier Of The Skin Against Medical Adhesive Related Skin Injury (Marsi) In Children Treated In Pediatric Intensive Care Units : Systematic Review
Aims: Providing medical equipment intervention increases the risk of MARSI in newborns with laceration and traumatic wounds in the subcutaneous tissue of the skin. The application of an adhesive or a skin barrier is one technique to lower the risk of MARSI. Nonetheless, past research has yielded mixed results in terms of its usefulness in reducing the risk of MARSI.
Purpose: This study is to conduct a literature evaluation on the effectiveness of using a skin barrier to reduce the occurrence of MARSI.
Methods: A systematic review of four databases was conducted, including Scopus, EBSCOhost, SAGE, and Wiley. A total of 8 publications were reviewed utilizing inclusion and exclusion criteria with a total end of article review.
Results: The application of adhesive efficiently and considerably reduces the risk of MARSI, according to 5 of 8 articles.
Conclusion: It is recommended that adhesive be used in an integrated manner on a regular basis to prevent the incidence of MARSI in babies.
Self-Control Technique to Improve Self-Esteem Among Victims of Bullying
Aims: Bullying is one of the most common forms of juvenile delinquency and continues to increase every year. Teenagers who are victims of bullying have a high chance of experiencing various health problems such as decreased self-esteem. One way that can be done to increase self-esteem is through self-control techniques.
Purpose: This study aimed to determine the effect of virtual self-control on the self-esteem of adolescent victims of bullying.
Methods: This study was a quasy experimental with one group pretest posttest design approach. This research was conducted in July 2021, with a total sample of 30 students at senior high school in Bandung City. The sample was selected by using a purposive sampling and the data collection using the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) questionnaire.
Results: Analysis of the characteristics respondents showed that the most of the respondents were female (86.7%) were Muslim (96.7%) and came from the Sundanese (80.0%), with an average age of 17 years, the youngest of the respondent was 15 years old and the oldest was 19 years old. Bivariate analysis showed there was a significant effect of self-control to improve self-esteem of adolescent victims of bullying with t = -31,174, sig = 0.000 (p < α 0.05).
Conclusion: The self-control can be used as one of the school programs to deal with adolescent of bullying victim who has low self-esteem by establish counseling. It is hoped that this self-control technique can be used as a form of independent nursing intervention for a nurse in providing nursing care.

The Expectations of Baby Moms and Toddlers in An Integrated Health Care (Posyandu) in Penggilingan Village East Jakarta
Aims: This study explores the mothers\u27 expectations of babies or toddlers towards Posyandu.
Methods: A qualitative phenomenological study was conducted using in-depth interviews with 8 mothers (informants) from 5 Posyandu selected by simple random sampling. The study was conducted from Maret 2022. Explored concepts are structure, process, and output of expectation. The collected data was processed by coding and categorization
Results: Structural expectation combain 4 categories: accessbilities, human resources, facilities; the process issued 5 categories: service time, community volunteers/cadres, behaviour and communication, midwife/ healthworkes-mothers behavior/communication; and output included 3 categories: mother\u27s desire to make babies and toddlers healthy, controlled growth and development of babies and toddlers, improving baby\u27s quality of life and toddler.
Conclusion: The expectations of mothers with babies or toddlers towards Posyandu are formed from 3 components namely input, process and output
Differences in the Effectiveness of Giving Dark Chocolate and Ginger to Reducing Menstrual Pain Intensity in SMAN 1 Cikande Students in 2022
Aims: Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) is pain during menstruation that is usually experienced by young women with complaints of aches or cramps in the lower abdomen and pelvis. Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) often begins after the first menstruation. Pain decreases after menstruation, but pain can continue to be experienced during menstrual periods in some women so that it has an impact on daily activities, such as school activities and work.
Objective: This study aims to analyze differences in the effectiveness of giving dark chocolate and ginger to reduce the intensity of menstrual pain in female students at SMAN 1 Cikande.
Methods: In this study, the researcher used a Quasi Experimental Pre-Posttest with Control Group design. The population in this study were all female students who experienced menstrual pain during menstruation. 28 female students with a sampling technique using the Non-Probability Sampling technique or Non-Random Sampling with the Purposive Sampling method.
Result: The results of the study were differences in the intensity of menstrual pain reduction with the non-parametric test, namely Wilcoxon in 14 respondents who were given dark chocolate with a p-value of 0.001 < (0.05) while 14 other respondents who were given ginger a p-value of 0.001 < (0 0.05 Differences in the effectiveness of dark chocolate and ginger based on the Mann Whitney test p-value 0.299 > (0.05).
Conclusions and Suggestions: There was no significant difference in the effectiveness of reducing pain intensity in students of SMAN 1 Cikande Serang Regency between those given dark chocolate and ginger for 3 days of treatment. It is hoped that non-pharmacological interventions can be applied to treat menstrual pain
The Effect of Baby Massage in Healing Cough of The Common Cold in Infants at Zhafira Zarifa Clinic
Aims: Infancy or toddlerhood is an important period in the process of human growth and development. Development and growth in infancy or toddlerhood is a determinant of the success of children\u27s growth and development in the next period. The immune system in children under five is still weak and immature, causing toddlers to be very susceptible to ARI.
Research Objectives: To determine the effect of baby massage in healing coughs and colds in infants at the Zhafira Zarifa clinic in 2022
Research Methods: The type of research used in this study is quantitative with a cross sectional research design. The population in this study were infants who visited the Zhafira Zarifa Clinic. A total of 234 infants. The sample in this study were infants who visited the Zhafira Zarifa Clinic. A total of 70 infants. Bivariate analysis using chi square test.
Results: The description of baby massage at the Zhafira Zarifa clinic was carried out by 35 people (50.0%) and 35 people (50.0%). recovered as many as 37 people (52.9%).
Conclusions and Suggestions: It can be concluded that there is an effect of baby massage in healing coughs and colds in infants at the Zhafira Zarifa clinic. It is recommended to parents and the community in order to increase the prevention of the incidence of ARI in infants by doing non-pharmacological baby massage therapy
