    No full text
Aims: Online learning causes mental health problems in students. Fatigue among students can hinder concentration, memory retention, and cognitive functioning, leading to decreased academic productivity, heightened stress, and disrupted personal and social lives. Screen fatigue among students can be attributed to factors such as prolonged screen exposure, inadequate breaks, poor ergonomics, multitasking, content nature, sleep deprivation, screen brightness, glare, visual discomfort, and reduced physical interaction during online classes. Method: This study used a quantitative descriptive design. The population in this study were first-year nursing students during online learning. The sample technique used total sampling. The sample in this study amounted to 180 respondents. Data collection used the Zoom Exhaustion & Fatigue Scale (ZEF Scale). Univariate data analysis to describe the frequency of screen fatigue levels in students. Results: The results of this study indicate that the majority of students have a moderate level of screen fatigue, namely 77 respondents (42.8%). Then respondents with low screen fatigue category were 45 people (25%). Then respondents with high screen fatigue category were 58 people (32.2%). This shows that student screen fatigue is still high, so lecturers and students must care about each other\u27s mental health problems during online learning. Conclusion: Screen fatigue is a problem experienced by students during online learning, this data becomes data for universities to develop learning methods that are effective in reducing the problem of screen fatigue in students. Nursing Implications: The implication of this research is that there is data for universities and lecturers in providing psychological services to students during online learning

    No full text
Aims: The high prevalence of dysmenorrhea more than 30% indicates the need to address this issue among adolescents. Severe pain during menstruation will affect psychosocial and physical changes. Some factors contribute to dysmenorrhea. Several non-pharmacological ways are already applied but the effect is still changing. One of the current innovations is abdominal stretching using the cat method. However, the effectiveness of this method is still unknown. This study explores the effectiveness of abdominal stretching exercises among adolescent girls in Indonesia. Method: The study design uses a quasi-experimental approach with one group pre-test and post-test design. Convenience sampling was applied in this study. This study was conducted in one of the senior high schools in Indonesia in one month in 2022. Instruments were used VAS (Visual Analog Scale). Data was analyzed using a Paired Sample T-Test.  Results: The total sample is 20 adolescent girls. There is a significant difference in the menstrual pain scale before and after stretching abdominal exercises with p = 0.000. Conclusion: Abdominal exercise stretching can be applied in providing comprehensive nursing care to adolescents who experience dysmenorrhea. A structured operational procedure must be taken into consideration when applying this intervention

    No full text
Aims: Quality of health services refers to the level of perfection provided by a hospital, and poor service quality can lead to dissatisfied patients and decreased patient visits. This study was to analyze the relationship between service quality and satisfaction of inpatients at RH Purwakarta Hospital. Methods: The research approach included a cross-sectional study, incorporating factors such as service quality (including characteristics of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and physical evidence) and satisfaction. The research sample consisted of 99 inpatients from RH Purwakarta Hospital, selected using an incidental sampling technique. A questionnaire was utilized as the instrument. The analysis employed the chi-square test with a significance threshold of 95%. It involved paramedical professionals and other personnel, as mentioned by Aryanti et al. (2022). Results: The results of the analysis indicate that the contentment of inpatients at RH Purwakarta Hospital is correlated with the quality of health services (pvalue= 0,0001). Therefore, it is possible to infer that an individual\u27s satisfaction with the quality of service will be influenced by their interest in receiving treatment at that particular service location in the future. Conclusions: Research indicates that service quality significantly impacts patient satisfaction, highlighting the need for RH Purwakarta hospital to enhance service standards to boost patient visits and loyalty

Aims: Electronic medical records (EMRs) are information systems used to store and manage patients\u27 medical information electronically. Despite being a well-established technology, their implementation often faces resistance, particularly in terms of users\u27 readiness to adapt to new technologies. This study aims to evaluate the acceptance of EMRs among healthcare professionals in the inpatient installation of RSUD Tegal. Methods: The study employed a Quantitative Pre-Experimental method with a One group Pre-test Post-test experimental design. It assessed changes or differences in user acceptance by examining attitudes and behavioral intentions of users before and after learning through video-based instruction. Pre-test and post-test questionnaires were used for data collection. Results: Data analysis revealed an Asymp.Sig. value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. This indicates that Ho (the null hypothesis) is rejected, suggesting a difference in the average results of the Pre-test on the six variables related to user acceptance of EMRs. Similarly, the Friedman Test Post-test yielded an Asymp. Sig. value of 0.000, also less than 0.05. This further supports the rejection of Ho, indicating a difference in the average results of the six variables. Additionally, the influence of video-based learning on behavioral intentions to use EMRs was determined with a Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test, resulting in an Asymp.sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000. Conclusion: The study found that there is an increase in behavioral intentions to use EMRs after learning through video-based methods

Nursing Care for Septic Shock Patients Using Indonesian Nursing Standards: A Case Reports

    No full text
Aims: This case report aimed to identify gaps in applying the Nursing Standard Guidelines of the Indonesian Association in critical care, specifically focusing on patients with septic shock. Methods: This study used a case report with a nursing care approach that includes an assessment to evaluation. Nursing care was provided to a patient who was experiencing septic shock, was on a ventilator, and had experienced organ failure. Results: A 63-year-old man on mechanical ventilator was diagnosed with septic shock caused by community-acquired pneumonia. The nursing diagnoses for this case included impaired spontaneous ventilation related to respiratory muscle weakness, ineffective airway clearance related to the accumulation of secretions, peripheral tissue perfusion disorders related to changes in fluid regulation, and risk of infection. The study identified inappropriate nursing diagnoses, such as \u27impaired spontaneous ventilation for patients on mechanical ventilation. Conclusion: This study concludes that there are still several gaps in diagnosing and managing clinical conditions in critical cases. The nursing problem of impaired spontaneous ventilation should not have been identified as the patient was already on a ventilator. Additionally, there was no actual diagnosis for impaired organ perfusion or infection. This case report recommends further developing the Nursing Standard Guidelines of the Indonesian Nursing Association to optimize coverage of critical care. Recommendations include revising the Indonesian Nursing Diagnosis Standards to align with critical care needs. This enhancement will help nurses and clinicians in critical care not experience confusion when applying the current guidelines

Method: A cross-sectional design was used for quantitative and analytical study. A purposive sampling method was used to choose 51 mothers with babies between the ages of 7 and 23 months as the study sample. A questionnaire was used as the study tool. The square test was used to look at the primary data. Result: The single-variable study showed that 82.4% of infants had good nutrition and 72.5% of those who were given MP ASI did so correctly. The bivariate analysis showed that there was a link between the number of times MP-ASI was given, the age at which it was first given, how often it was given, how consistently it was given, and the infant\u27s nutritional status (p value = 0.000). Conclusion: The practice of giving MP-ASI has to do with how well babies ages 7 to 23 months are eating. Mothers of babies should always pay attention to how, how often, and how much they feed their babies as they get older. This includes the form, frequency, and amount of food.
