The Effect of Self-Awareness and Problem-Solving Skills Training Based on Edugames on Burnout in Midwives
Aims: This study aimed to determine the effect of edugame-based self-awareness and problem-solving skill training on burnout in midwives.
Methods: The study used a repeated measurement-quasi-experiment design in a hospital in Bekasi, West Java, with 120 midwives in both groups.
Results: Emotional exhaustion (Eta = 0.05, p = 0.443), depersonalization, (Eta = 0.03, p = 0.718) and personal accomplishment scores (Eta = 0.08, p = 0.694) did not change significantly in the control group. At the same time, interventions reduced the total score of emotional exhaustion (Eta = 0.26, p = 0.001), depersonalization (Eta = 0.20, p = 0.010), and personal accomplishment (Eta = 0.35, p = 0.001).
Conclusions: Midwives were more likely to accept their emotional exhaustion after intervention, were able handle depersonalization and performed personal accomplishment. The study underscores the significance of midwives\u27 self-awareness and problem-solving skills in identifying burnout symptoms, advocating for change, and providing necessary support services
The Effect of Combined Foot Massage and Nature Music on the Sleep Quality of Critically Ill Patients
Aims: Critical patients in ICU and HCU often experience poor sleep due to excessive stress and various symptoms like environmental factors, pain, noise, anxiety, and physical discomfort. Foot massage and natural music interventions can help meet their sleep needs, providing a relaxing effect and improving physical and psychological conditions. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of providing combination therapy of foot massage and natural music therapy in Dr. Hospital\u27s peacock room Salamun 2023.
Methods: This type of research is pre-experimental with a pre-post test of one group and uses the Richard Champbell Sleep Questionnaire (RCSQ). Then the data was processed using a paired sample T-test. The sample in this study is 16 respondents.
Results: The results of the statistical test obtained a p-value of 0.01, meaning that there was an effect between the pretest and posttest of the combination of foot massage and natural music therapy on the quality of sleep in critical patients in the peacock room at Dr. Salamun Hospital, Bandung City, 2023.
Conclusions : the conclusion of this study is that there is an effect of foot massage therapy and natural music on the sleep quality of critical patients as shown by the results of measuring the quality of critical patients before and after consecutive interventions with massage of both feet combined with natural music. For 10 minutes it has been proven to be able to improve sleep quality in critically ill patients so that this intervention can be applied as a therapy to improve sleep quality
The Relationship Between Knowledge, Motivation, and Supervision Towards Documentation Among Nurses at Private Hospital in Indonesia
Aims: Nursing care documentation is an essential part and integrated within the nursing process. The previous study described incomplete nursing records, reflecting the quality of nursing care and implementation of patient safety. This study aim is to explore the relationship between knowledge, motivation and supervision toward nursing documentation.
Method: A descriptive-quantitative research method with a cross-sectional approach was implemented. A total of 64 respondents are agreed to participate with the convenience sampling method in one month in December 2020. Data collection used a self-report questionnaire and observational form with the accepted value of validity and reliability. Data analysis by bivariate with Chi-square and multivariate with Logistic.
Results: Nurses showed good knowledge (n=57; 89.1%) and motivation (n=35;54.7 %) whilst poor supervision (n=31;48.4) and documentation (n= 40; 62.5%) Supervision is statistically significant had relationship with nursing documentation OR 3.333 (1.151-9.650) p-value < 0.05 and strong associated with nursing documentation β = 3.517 (1.182-10.469).
Conclusion: Increasing knowledge, motivation, supervision is needed to protect both nurses and patients. Supervision activities are the tools to evaluate the nursing process and ensure continuity of care

Sampling was taken using a total sampling technique, 24 respondents in the intervention group and 24 in the control group. Puzzle therapy was carried out for 9 sessions. Measurement of independence used the MMSE (Mini mental status examination) questionnaire and the Katz Index. Analysis with dependent t-test at significance 0.05 (CI 95%) and GLM-RM (General Linear Model Repeated Measure).
Results: The results of the paired T test in the intervention group produced a p-value of 0.000, while the control group had a p-value of 0.043. dependent T test and Greenhouse-Geisser (sig) with p value 0.00. Elderly people who are given puzzle activities improve the health and well-being of elderly people with cognitive decline
Conclusion: puzzle therapy can improve increasing independence in elderly people with dementia
The Effect of Self-Management Application on Academic Procrastination in Nursing Students at STIKep PPNI West Java
Aims: To determine the effect of self-management applications on academic procrastination in nursing students at STIKep PPNI West Java.
Methods: This study used a quantitative quasi-experimental method with a two-group pretest-posttest design. The number of respondents was 60 with sampling using a proportionate stratified random sampling technique consisting of 30 intervention groups and 30 control groups, with inclusion criteria for undergraduate nursing students. The instrument used was the Tuckman Procrastination Scale. Univariate analysis used mean, SD, min, max and bivariate analysis using paired sample t test and independent sample t test.
Results: Based on the results of the paired sample t-test, the p-value is 0.000 (p <0.05) and the independent sample t-test has a p-value of 0.000 (p <0.05), which means that there is a significant differences in value between the intervention groups and the control group so that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.
Conclusions: The study found a significant reduction in academic procrastination in the intervention group compared to the control group, due to structured self-management. The intervention group experienced better behavioral changes, while the control group experienced a decrease. The study also found significant differences in self-management implementation through four stages: self-monitoring, self-contracting, stimulus control, and self-reinforcement
Does Mindfulness Training Have an Effect on Brain Tumor Patients? A Literature Review
Aims: The purpose of this research was to examine into the recent spike in curiosity regarding mindfulness-based therapy and their benefits on patients with brain tumors.
Methods: The approach to searching was implemented by using certain keywords in an online database. This review\u27s inclusion criteria were: (1) study of experimental design, (2) only brain tumor patients, and (3) Mindfulness-based therapy. The search was limited to English and Indonesian literature published between 2017 and 2023. To assess the quality of the included studies, the Critical Appraisal Skills Program (CASP) tool, which is available for intervention research, was employed.
Results: For this investigation, the original search method returned 581 documents. After a comprehensive study of these papers and application of the inclusion and exclusion criteria, four papers met the inclusion criteria. The programs lasted between 8 and 12 weeks. While mindfulness-based therapies revealed a good benefit for brain tumor patients, one study found a negative effect on family well-being.
Conclusions: According to the journals reviewed, this study intends to evaluate the benefits of mindfulness training for improving the condition of brain tumor patients. The biological factors of the tumor or the participant\u27s cognitive profile may influence improvement
Nursing Intervention Toward Quality of Life of Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis: A Systematic Review
Aims: Patients diagnosed with chronic renal disease commonly experience a diminished quality of life. This systematic review endeavors to discern nursing interventions aimed at enhancing the quality of life among individuals with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis. These interventions adopt a holistic approach, encompassing psychological, social, and physical aspects.
Methods: A systematic review methodology was employed, utilizing ProQuest, Science Direct, and Google Scholar to search for relevant publications. In order to retrieve pertinent information, the databases were searched for complete English-language research articles published from 2013 to 2023.
