Bill Davis coached football at Savannah State College from 1986-1992, compiling a 49-24 record and guiding the Tigers to the 1992 NCAA Division II Playoffs. He returned to the school in 2000 and his teams went 2-8 and 2-7 in two seasons. Davis also served as Athletic Director at Savannah State College 1990 -199

Dr. Annette Kennedy Brock served as acting president of Savannah State College 1991 until 1993. While she served as head of institutional advancement, the university launched the employee-funded scholarship program, T.I.G.E.R.
