There is a statistically significance correlation between the banking liquidity ratios and rate ratio of return.
By using the annual reports of the (Bank of Palestine & Jerusalem Bank ) for the period of (2008-2014), there was the extraction percentages which are the indicators of liquidity and return, by using the simple method of regression analysis and treatment (correlation coefficient and determination coefficient), and (T) testing. The main results of the study are there is no correlation and impact between the bank, liquidity and rate of return for the two banks.University of Palestine

No full textيعد الاتصال ظاهرة اجتماعية عرفتها المجتمعات البشرية منذ العصور البدائية الإنسانية، فهو يشكل عصب الحياة المعاصرة ووجهاً من وجوه الحضارة كما يعبر عن السياسة والاتجاهات الفكرية والظروف الاجتماعية والنظم الاقتصادية، ويؤثر فيها ويتأثر بها، وبالتالي تصبح من أهم الوسائل الفاعلة في تغيير الاتجاهات والقيم ولتعزيز أي سلوك ايجابي وتكريسه، وتهميش سلوك سلبي في المجتمع، حيث أدى تطور وسائل الاتصال بالشكل الذي نشاهده اليوم إلى نشوء ظاهرة الاتصال الجماهيري، التي أصبحت محط أنظار نخبة من الدارسين تعكس اهتمامهم بهذه الوسائل ، وبآثارها الاجتماعية التي تنجم عن اتصال مجموعة من العاملين المدربين الذين يعملون في مؤسسة إعلامية وبين جماهير غفيرة من الناس داخل البلاد أو خارجها( ).
ولقد شهدت السنوات الأخيرة اهتماما ملحوظا بالقنوات والشبكات الفضائية على الصعيد العربي بشكل خاص، وذلك عقب وصول هذه التقنية إلى الدول والأقطار العربية ، حيث بدأت المؤسسات الإعلامية الحكومية والخاصة تمتلك هذه التقنية وتتنافس مع بعضها تقنياً وفنياً وسياسياً وثقافياً على جذب الجمهور( ).
ويساهم التلفزيون في تعليم أفراد المجتمع أساليب مختلفة من السلوك الفردي والاجتماعي، ويستخدم قوالب متعددة في عملية بناء شخصية الفرد ونمو المجتمع وازدهاره، إلا أن الأشكال الدرامية التي يقدمها من مسلسلات وأفلام ومسرحيات قد تقوم بدور هام في عملية تكوين السلوك الفردي والاجتماعي في المجتمع، أي أنها تسعى لترسيخ أو إلغاء أو تعديل بعض القيم والمفاهيم الخاصة بالمجتمع، علما أن الدراما التي يقدمها التلفزيون قد تنتج في بيئات مختلفة إلى حد كبير نظمها الاجتماعية والاقتصادية عن النظم المقابلة في المجتمع الذي تعرض فيه( ).
ولا تخلو المسلسلات المدبلجة كونها أحد القوالب الدرامية من بثها على القنوات الفضائية ، فهناك كم لا بأس به منها، وبلهجات عربية مختلفة منها المسلسلات الهندية والتركية والكورية والمكسيكية وغيرها ونظراً لقدرتها على جذب فئات كثيرة من أفراد المجتمع لما تحتويه من قصص وموضوعات جديدة، وأداء فني رائع ومثير تتعارض في العديد منها بقيم وعادات وتقاليد مجتمعاتنا الإسلامية، الأمر الذي تطلب دراسة هذه الظاهرة للتعرف على مدى إقبال تأثر أفراد المجتمع من المسلسلات المدبلجة وعلى سلوكياتهم ، والكشف عن دوافعهم والمسلسلات المفضلة لديهم وأسباب التفضيل ومدى تأثرهم بها ومقترحاتهم للحد من تأثيرها.جامعة فلسطين – غزة

الاندماج المصرفي للبنوك الفلسطينية
No full textهدفت هذه الدراسة إلى القاء الضوء على أهم المتطلبات اللازمة لتحقيق الاندماج المصرفي بين البنوك الفلسطينية، ودراسة أهم المحددات الداخلية الناتجة عن الوضع الداخلي لهذه البنوك، والمحددات الخارجية المحيطة بالبنوك الفلسطينية، والتي تقف عائقاً أمام تحقيق الاندماج المصرفي، وكذلك توضيح مدى التوافق في الرأي بين كل من متخذي القرار في البنوك الفلسطينية والمسئولين في سلطة النقد الفلسطينية حول الضرورات والمحددات لاندماج البنوك الفلسطينية, وتحديد الآليات التي تساهم في التغلب على المشكلات والصعوبات التي تعيق عمليات الاندماج.
تم اعتماد المنهج الوصفي التحليلي للوقوف على طبيعة المشكلة، وضرورات عملية الاندماج ووصفها، على اعتبار أن البحث يصف حالة البنوك الفلسطينية، ووصف المحددات الداخلية والخارجية التي تحول دون تحقيق عملية الاندماج، وقد تم تصميم استبانة وتوزيعها على (150) فرد، يمثلون متخذي القرار في البنوك الفلسطينية ومسئولين في سلطة النقد الفلسطينية.
توصلت الدراسة إلى أن البنوك الفلسطينية بحاجة ماسة للاندماج فيما بينها، أو مع البنوك الوافدة لتكوين كيانات مصرفية قوية., وأن رؤوس الأموال المدفوعة للبنوك الفلسطينية بحاجة إلى تدعيم، وذلك من خلال اندماج عدد من هذه البنوك مع بعضها البعض؛ للخروج ببنوك فلسطينية قادرة على تلبية متطلبات وتطلعات سلطة النقد الفلسطينية.
توصلت الدراسة إلى عدة توصيات أهمها أنه على سلطة النقد الفلسطينية خلق الإطار القانوني، وتهيئة البيئة التشريعية المناسبة؛ لتنظيم عمليات الاندماج بين البنوك العاملة في فلسطين، لخلق كيانات مصرفية قادرة على خدمة الاقتصاد الفلسطيني، مع إلزام جميع هذه البنوك بالالتزام بالتعليمات الصادرة بخصوص استكمال رؤوس أموالها، وإصدار قوانين أخرى تشجع الاندماج، بحيث يتضح منها المزايا التي ستجنيها البنوك الناتجة عن الاندماج، وخاصة المستكملة لرؤوس أموالها، تمهيداً لتحول سلطة النقد إلى بنك مركزي.The study aims to expose the prerequisite requirements which allow merging process among Palestinian banks, in addition to that, the paper study internal and external determinants that considered as obstacles through the process of banking merger in Palestine. Also the study explores to what extent there are harmonization between decision makers at the Palestinian commercial banks and PMA; in order to overcome through those obstacles that merging process face.
To reach results, the study used the descriptive analysis methodology to express and describe the study problem, for that; a survey of (150) sample were conduct, the sample represent commercial banks decision makers and PMA executives.
Mainly the study found that there is a significance importance for Palestinian banks merge together or with new incoming banks. Another conclusion that have been reached; the banks’ capital is not sufficient so that a merging process between banks should take place in order to satisfy PMA needs and impatience.
The study recommended creating a legal framework and preamble legislative environment in order to organize merging process between Palestinian banks that better benefit the economy in return, and considered as a forward step for PMA to be a full central bank
Experimental study of structural behavior of mesh-box Gabion

Gaza, PalestineThe research described by the current dissertation was focused on studying the mechanical behavior of the wired-mesh gabions under axial compression load. And it is important to mention that there is no specific standard for using gabions as structural elements
It is a unique study because using this type of construction usually does not take into consideration the study of the structural behavior of these boxes, and here many of the problems facing the construction of this kind appears.
This research studied the behavior of these boxes through laboratory experiments. 18 samples of fixed boxes of dimensions 20 * 20 * 20 cm were exposed to axial load using unconfined compression machine. Two parameters were tested changing the diameter of steel bars and also the aggregate size diameter that were used in the design process of these boxes.
Stress-strain diagrams were monitored.
Results showed as the size of the aggregates is smaller, ultimate strength increased, modulus of elasticity increased
On the other hand, results showed that ultimate strength considerably increased increasing steel-bar diameter.
Furthermore, lab experiments showed that the behavior of the gabion is highly sensitive to manufacturing quality, It was found that in some cases the two boxes with the same specifications ( steel bar diameter, aggregate size distribution) gave a different results due to the difference in manufacturing quality .
It was studied the vulnerability these cubes prone force and what is the influence of changing of steel bars diameter on the strength of the box, as well as the influence of the aggregate size on the strengthening of that box.
The labor experimental results indicate the deformation mode of a loaded gabion structure and the maximum stress that the box sustain.Dr. Osama Dawoo

included theoretical topics needed in the design and implementation as well as the steps and
stages followed in the design of the project since its stages until the end.
The project dealt with in the foreground on the cause of his choice and purpose and
action plan in place to complete the project, also presented a comprehensive study of the
project area in terms of location, importance and current status of the street, including case
studies to raise surveyors and traffic statistics, which also identifies the factors affecting the
traffic statistics, have been clarified design engineering the content of classification of
streets of the area and the calculation of the number of lanes and to identify trends of spinoff
and the design of spin-off and vertical sectors of the streets, as well as structural design
to the content to determine the types and thickness of the pavement of the streets of the
region. Using AASHTO for the design and method of paving asphalt for the design of
pavement concrete bricks, and to clarity the requirements and standards for the design of
parking geometrically and structurally.
Finally, the results were presented and the recommendations that come out through the
study of this region and its development. At the end of the project is attached appendices,
outlines, and illustrations for the implementation and completion of various phases of the

Gabions are used in many situations including the stabilization of earth movement and erosion, river control, reservoirs, canals refurbishment, landscaping and retaining walls.
The main aim of this research was to investigate the behavior of gabion structure through the development of finite element model of gabion using COMSOL program.
The construction of model stages were started with develop numerical model to simulate the behavior (deformation , strain and stress) of single gabion box (20×20×20 )cm, and Compare the result obtained from the model with testing result of the compression tests performed in the laboratory.
The second stage included the development of a numerical model to simulate the behavior (deformation, strain ,and stress) of a single gabion box model for existing gabion structure using the gabion box (120×45×45)cm.
Finally, a study the mechanical behavior of large scale model of existing gabion structure using the gabion box (120×45×45)cm was made and deformation results were compared with these obtained from with the actual structure .
The result of numerical analysis of model was seen that the results obtained from COMSOL and Physical model have been according reality within the specific range with some of different value including stresses, deformation and strain, this difference was discussed to reach the reason of this variation .
Generally , in the small box model (20×20×20)cm the deformation was record within range (4.0 to 53.081 mm) , and in box (120×45×45)cm the deformation was record within range ( 4 to 11.011mm) , but in the wall model the deformation was record within range (0 to 0.1 mm)
The studies as a whole are expected to contribute substantially to understand the actual behavior of gabion structure systems with particular reference to efficiency and stability of it.Supervised By

A Mobile Application for Borrowing Books from the Library of University of Palestine

At the “Mobi-Library” we solve some problems through develop an Application, where the students will do their research and borrow books by the Name of book and have information if the books are available in the database of the library.
In the application we used the Extreme Programming (XP) Methodology. XP is a system of practices that a community of software developers is evolving to address the problems of quickly delivering quality software and then evolving it.
After we finish the mobile application, we do some research to some students that attends the library of the university at the time of research and they were a total of 30 Students. 20 of them were usually goes to the library. And 15 of them give a positive impression about the application

This study aimed to identify the extent of the Palestinian banking sector 's commitment to social responsibility towards the Palestinian society, in addition to the knowledge of the aspects of social responsibility provided by the Palestinian Banking Institution . This study has answered the question of what extent the Palestinian Banking Corporation 's commitment to performance of social responsibility towards the Palestinian community? Questionnaire was designed to collect data and distribute it to the Palestinian Banking Institution staff in a manner comprehensive survey. Data was analyzed using SPSS program. This study found several of them the product of a significant Palestinian banking Institution in the role of unsustainable social responsibility is to provide support to the private sector . In addition to compatibility with social responsibility values and objectives of the Palestinian society . The study made several recommendations including the need that the Palestinian Banking Corporation has diversified its social responsibility programs .
الملخص
هدفت هذه الدراسة الى التعرف على مدى التزام القطاع المصرفي الفلسطيني بالمسئولية الاجتماعية تجاه المجتمع الفلسطيني، بالإضافة الى معرفة أوجه المسئولية الاجتماعية التي تقدمها المؤسسة المصرفية الفلسطينية. أجابت هذه الدراسة على سؤال ما مدى التزام المؤسسة المصرفية الفلسطينية بأدائها للمسؤولية الاجتماعية تجاه المجتمع الفلسطيني؟ تم تصميم استبيان لجمع البيانات و توزيعه على موظفي المؤسسة المصرفية الفلسطينية بطريقة المسح الشامل. وتم تحليل البيانات باستخدام برنامج .SPSS توصلت هذه الدراسة الى عدة نتائج منها للمؤسسة المصرفية الفلسطينية دور ملموس في تحملها للمسئولية الاجتماعية يتمثل في تقديمها الدعم للقطاع الخاص. بالإضافة الى توافق المسئولية الاجتماعية مع قيم وأهداف المجتمع الفلسطيني. قدمت هذه الدراسة عدة توصيات منها ضرورة أن تقوم المؤسسة المصرفية الفلسطينية بتنويع برامج مسئوليتها الاجتماعية.Faculty of Business and Management, University of Palestine

No full textCyber Securityاهداف المهاجمين تهدف الى التركيز على الربح المادي. حيث إنه يقدر بان البوت نت تولد دخل ما بين 10.000 الى 10.000.000 دولار امريكي في الشهر لكل بوت نت .رؤية هذه الارقام تساعد المرء على فهم لماذا أصبحت الان البرمجيات الخبيثة صناعة اجرامية عالمية وتعطي دلالة على عدد المصادر التي يمكن استثمارها في تطوير برمجيات خبيثة جديدة ومعقدة حيث تكون مقاومة لجهود اكتشافها او احتوائها. ونتيجة لذلك، ظهرت السوق السوداء حيث تستخدم البوت نت كخدمات يمكن شرائها و تعديلها وتأجيرها.
بالاضافة الى ذلك، فقدت ازدادت هجمات البوت نت ذات الدافع السياسي وأصبحت محط الاهتمام الدولي. في 2007، تم استخدام البوت نت لاطلاق هجمات الدي دوس ضد المواقع الاستونية الحكومية و مواقع القطاع الخاص. و في خلال الصراع الروسي الجورجي في عام 2008 ، تم استخدام البوت نت للحد من قدرات جورجيا على نشر المعلومات عن الصراع العسكري الجاري على عامة الشعب الجورجي و العالم الخارجي.. كما ان البوت نت من الادوات السهل الوصول اليها من قبل المخربين لأغراض سياسية حيث يستخدمونها لدعم اراءهم ذات الطابع السياسي، مثل ما حصل في مهاجمة مفاعل نتانز الايراني والنجاح فى ايقاف عمل المفاعل وإلحاق الاضرار فى اجهزة الطرد المركزي باستخدام برمجيات خبيثة.
انه من الصعب قياس مقدار العدوى العالمية التي تصيب الحواسيب من قبل البرمجيات الخبيثة. على سبيل المثال فان شركة ميكروسوفت قامت بقياس متوسط مقدار العدوى العالمية من 7.1 على مقياس 1000 جهاز حاسوب كنتيجة لتنظيفهم بأداة ميكروسوفت المجانية المزيلة للبرمجيات الخبيثة في الربع الثاني من عام 2011. ومن المحتمل ان هذا الرقم قليل جدا حيث ان ليس كل مالك لنظام ويندوز يقوم باستخدام هذا البرنامج كمان ان معدل اكتشاف البرمجيات الخبيثة ليس مرتفع عموما. و على الرغم من ذلك فان الارقام لا زالت تعطي انطباعا اوليا. مؤسسة شادو سيرفر عبارة عن مجموعة من المتطوعين ذووا خبرة عالية في مجال الامن و ومحاربة البرمجيات الخبيثة وبالاخص البوت نت. حيث اكتشفوا حوالي 5500 بوت نت مختلف في فبراير 2012 . وهذا يوضح بشكل كبير حقيقة الخطر المحتمل من هجمات البوت نت بشكل هائل.
للتلخيص، فقد تحول البوت نت الى اداة قوية لكل من المجرمين والجهات الفاعلة سياسيا. و في نفس الوقت، فان انشاء وتشغيل البوت نت سهل جدا بالنظر الى توفر التعليمات والادوات في السوق السوداء. فان قلة الوعى او جهل مستخدمي الحواسيب بما يتعلق بامن الحاسوب يدعم الانتشار الواسع لبرمجيات خبيثة جديدة علي الرغم من كون انظمة الحواسيب مؤمنة جيدا ومحدثة فانها لا تكون قادرة على مقاومة احدث البرمجيات الخبيثة. كما ان شركات المضادة للفيروسات (البرمجيات الخبيثة) تجد صعوبة في التعامل مع الاعداد الكبيرة الجديدة من البرمجيات الخبيثة كل يوم.University of Palestine www.up.edu.p
