The Effect of Visual Prompts to Acquire Question-answering Skills and Generalize to Daily Living Scene for Child with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Get PDFapplication/pdfChildren with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) have difficulties communicating and often misunderstand intraverbal behavior. Intraverbal behavior is an important educational goal for children with autism. This study explores the effect of verbal and visual prompts on question-answering skills in children with ASD. We used a training stimulus and generalizing stimulus. In the baseline condition, we presented a picture (training stimulus) to the participant and asked "Who is he?" or "Where is he?" In the intervention condition, we presented a picture and written versions of both questions. To confirm the generalization of the skills, we placed stuffed toys (generalizing stimulus) at the child's home and asked "Who is he?" or "Where is he?" The results indicated that the child answered questions appropriately during the training stimulus in the intervention and baseline conditions 2. These skills were maintained in the follow-up condition (4 months after the end of the baseline condition 2). In addition, the child also appropriately answered when generalizing the stimulus, after acquiring question-answering skills through the training stimulus. This study demonstrates the effect of visual prompts on the acquisition of question-answering skills in children with ASD, which can be generalized to daily living scenarios.自閉症スペクトラム障害のある子どもは、コミュニケーションの困難さがあり、イントラバーバルにおいて誤りが見られる。イントラーバーバルは、ASDのある子どもにとって重要な教育目標である。本研究は、ASDのある子どもに対する質問応答スキルの獲得における言語プロンプト、視覚プロンプトの効果を比較した。ベースライン条件では、対象者に写真（トレーニング刺激）を提示し、「誰？」「どこ？」と尋ねた。介入条件では、質問と同時に写真と文字を示した。スキルの般化を検討するため、ぬいぐるみ（般化刺激）を対象者の家庭に配置し、「誰？」「どこ？」と尋ねた。結果、対象者は介入条件とベースライン条件2で質問に対して適切に回答した。このスキルはフォローアップ条件（ベースライン条件2の4ヶ月後）においても維持した。さらに、トレーニング刺激に対して質問応答スキルが獲得された後、般化刺激に対しても適切に回答した。本研究は、ASDのある子どもに対する質問応答スキル獲得における視覚プロンプトの効果と日常生活における般化を示した。論文(Article)departmental bulletin pape

Rethinking Japan's Teaching Assistant System Post COVID-19
Get PDFapplication/pdfCritical thinking on the hiring of TAs before, during, and after the advent of COVID-19 is shared in this research study. Since 1992, universities have designed, implemented and benefitted from employing a Student Assistant (SA) or a Teaching Assistant (TA) in classrooms. These positions were cut during 2020 as emergency measures took hold. The authors discuss and rethink the TA system based on a questionnaire checked for sampling adequacy, validity and reliability with 157 participating students, TAs, and classroom instructors. Looking forward to a new normal in classrooms from 2021, new job descriptions are suggested for SAS and TAs that combine traditional classroom learning and e-learning into a new hybrid model of education assistance.本調査研究では, COVID-19の出現前,出現中,出現後の,TA採用に関する批判的思考を共有する。1992年以来,本学は授業に学生アシスタント（SA）またはティーチングアシスタント（TA）システムを導入し,雇用し手当を給付してきた。2020年に緊急措置がとられたことにより,これらの職業は打ち切られた。著者らは,適切なサンプリング,妥当性と信頼性を確認したアンケートを,学生, ＴＡ,および授業講師157名に行い,それに基づき,ＴＡシステムについて検討し再考した。従来型対面授業とeラーニングを融合させた,2021年の新標準のハイブリッド型教育授業を楽しみに,新しい教育補助の就労の形をＳＡとＴＡに提案していきたい。論文(Article)departmental bulletin pape
