A phenomenological exploration of registered nurse degree apprentices' lived experiences
This qualitative study examines the mental health and wellbeing of registered nurse degree apprenticeship (RNDA) students across their 3-year programme. Using interpretative phenomenological analysis on interviews with three RNDA students, the study identifies distinct stressors, coping strategies and support structures affecting mental health. Findings reveal unique pressures from balancing academic and clinical roles, with themes including exhaustion from academic demands, programme design challenges, support network limitations, and role ambiguity. Recommendations for enhanced support systems and policy adjustments are offered to improve RNDA students’ mental health and educational experiences
Sustainable Management of Mediterranean Superyacht Marinas: A Comparative Assessment of Environmental Practices and Policy Implications
The Mediterranean superyacht industry significantly contributes to the region’s economy, but its rapid growth has raised serious environmental concerns. This study compares the emissions, waste management, and biodiversity protection of two marinas located in Sicily, Italy, and the Balearic Islands, Spain. A survey assessing the carbon footprint and water quality was distributed to the management of the marinas. The collected data were analysed and translated into tonnes of CO2 equivalent using emission factors. By calculating the carbon and water footprints of the two marinas, this study
aimed to understand the environmental impact of port-related operations. The JMarinas Environmental Decision Support System and a P-Mapping/Pareto approach were used to identify pollutant sources, following Pareto’s principle. The findings indicated that the primary operations of the marina sector are the main sources of pollution, with significant contributions from supporting activities. This study clarifies the origins of CO2 and pollution in marina operations, enabling the authors to recommend the close supervision of all recreational boating activities to reduce CO2 emissions and environmental degradation. By adopting these recommendations, policymakers, marina operators, and yacht owners can ensure the long-term sustainability of Mediterranean marinas

Inclusivity in Practice Education: The Views and Experiences of Nurse Educators Supporting Nursing Students With Mental Health Needs in Mental Health Clinical Placements
Aim: This study aimed to explore the perspectives and experiences of Nursing Practice Supervisors and Assessors, referred to as Nurse Educators, regarding their support for students with mental health needs during mental health clinical placements. Design: A qualitative survey design was employed to delve into Nurse Educators' views and experiences at two Mental Health Trusts in the Southeast of England, UK. Methods: Data were collected using Google Forms to create an anonymous online questionnaire. Thirty‐five Nurse Educators, comprising Practice Supervisors and Practice Assessors from two National Health Trusts, providing placements for two universities in the Southeast of England, responded to the survey. Thematic analysis was conducted to interpret the responses. Results: Factors which facilitated and inhibited Nurse Educators efforts to supporting students' mental health needs during placements were identified. They encompassed personal, professional, and procedural issues which were intricately intertwined to support students with mental health needs. While most Nurse Educators expressed a willingness to support students with mental health needs, challenges regarding the reasonableness of adjustments and their impact on Nurse Educators' practice were widely reported. Recommendations include a review of learning arrangements, guidelines, and policies for students with mental health needs in clinical placements, as well as tailored training of students' inclusive needs for Nurse Educators. A colonic polyps detection algorithm based on an improved YOLOv5s
Colon cancer is a prevalent malignancy, substantially it prevented most effectively from killing patients through early endoscopic detection. With the rapid development of artificial intelligence technology, the early diagnosis rate of colonic polyps achieves greater clinical efficacy for colon cancer by applying target detection algorithms to colonoscopy images. This paper presents two outcomes achieved through the application of the improved YOLOv5s algorithm with annotated microscopy images of clinical cases and publicly available polyp image data: (1) enhancement of the C3(Cross Stage Partial Networks) module with multiple layers to C3SE(Cross Stage Partial Networks with Squeeze-and-Excitation) via the attention mechanism SE (squeeze-and-excitation) and (2) fusion of higher-level features utilizing BiFPN (the weighted bi-directional feature pyramid network). Experimental comparisons are performed based on a new image dataset of colonic polyps among more than 6 target detection algorithms to validate the better detection capability. The tests indicate that the YOLOv5s + BiFPN and YOLOv5s-1st-2nd-C3SE models exhibit enhancements of detection capability compared to the YOLOv5 algorithm according to the main indicators of the mAP, accuracy, and recall. The YOLOv5s + SEBiFPN model demonstrate a substantial improvement over the YOLOv5s algorithm, and establishing a benchmark technology for advancing computer-assisted diagnostic systems is feasible

Abstract - Services for people with disabilities is a statutory task of the municipalities in Iceland. The project, which used to be with the state, is large and extensive. In the recent Act on services for disabled people with long-term support needs no. 38/2018, there is authorization for local authorities to delegate this service to private parties, non-profit organizations or associations in the form of service contracts. Local authorities must make sure that in such cases the legal position of the users will not be worse than it would have been otherwise. This is elaborated in more detail in the regulation on monitoring and follow-up for disabled people with long-term support needs no. 1036/2018, which stipulates the drawing up of claims alongside service contracts.
At her work, the author had come across inconsistencies in the working environment of different service providers operating based on such service contracts, which raised questions about the reason for this inconsistencies and what effect it would have on their operating environment and competitive position as well as the position of their service users.
Here, we will review the legal framework that manages services for disabled people, the agreements and specifications made with service providers, the assessment scale for the service needs of disabled people and the status of the collective agreement of different service providers who work based on service agreements compared.
The research is based on the examination of laws, contracts, and descriptions applicable to the services of people with disabilities. Interviews were also conducted with diverse parties from the sector all of whom have something to do with the service to people with disabilities in one way or the other and their opinions and views on the issues at hand revealed and discussed.
At the end, the study is summarized, and a conclusion is presented. It is the hope of the author that the results will benefit stakeholders and that the material can be used to refine and harmonize their operating environment, which is working on the basis of service contracts and to ensure safe service for the service users and equal rights for the staff working in this field
