Patient Cancellation and No Shows on Service Quality: Improving Sleep Study Cancellation Rates
Sleep disorders are one of the most common conditions that go undiagnosed every year. Sleep disorders such as Sleep Apnea, Restless Leg Syndrome, and Narcolepsy prevent one from getting a good nights rest, which then leads to increased daytime sleepiness. Neurocare is a diagnostic sleep testing facility that aims to improve the quality of life for those living with sleep disorders. A pamphlet was created to help improve patient cancellation and no show appointments and to improve overall service quality. The pamphlet consists of a FAQs of importance of sleep studies, Neurocare's covid protocol, and alternatives for those who cannot make their in person study at one of the clinics

French Canadian Folktales
Folktales often communicate cultural values and pass on collective wisdom to future generations. In 19th-century French Canada, the telling of tales was also a way to entertain a crowd huddled by a fire on a cold winter evening. In this collection of English translations of French Canadian folktales, you will find stories that are fantastical, telling of fairies, ghosts, werewolves and devils, as well as stories that are historical, recounting feats of daring and bravery from the early days of the colony; others will describe humorous situations meant to teach a moral lesson or just provoke a laugh. Each captivates and entertains in its own way while drawing the modern reader into the cultural world of early French Canada

Analysis Of Metabolites Present In Limonium Carolinianum Endophytes
Sea lavender (Limonium carolinianum) is a plant native to salt marshes along the Northeast coast that has medicinal properties in folk medicine. Symbiotic fungi that live inside the plant, called endophytes, were studied to determine if the metabolites produced by the endophytes could be what gives the plant its medicinal properties.Chemistry and Physic
Treating Patients With Ventilator Associated Pneumonia (VAP): The Challenges Of Implementing Nursing Bundles Of Care
A ventilator is any device used to support, assist, or control respiration (inclusive of the weaning period) through the application of positive pressure to the airway when delivered via an artificial airway, specifically an oral/nasal endotracheal or tracheostomy tube. The Registered Nurse is in a key position to mitigate the risk of VAP due to their constant presence at the bedside and their key role in providing direct patient care. VAP is preventable, and application of Evidence-Based Practice (EVP) in the daily care of mechanically ventilated ICU patients is vital in decreasing infection rates. By identifying the challenges of implementing nursing bundles of care, VAP rates will decrease and the health promotion and prevention of VAP will increase. Nursing bundles of care decrease length of hospital stay and treatment costs, and increase quality of life.School of Nursin

Using Equivalence-Based Programmed Instruction To Improve Fluency Of LGBTQIA+ Terms Among Direct Support Staff
It is valuable that the field of behavior analysis continues to develop methods of improving inclusive and culturally responsive practices within standard training methods. The LGBTQIA+ community has a diverse set of terminology used to describe the identities that exists within it. For direct support professionals in behavior analysis to serve this community in a culturally responsive way, they must have a foundational understanding of the terms and definitions associated with the community. There have been limited efforts made to specifically train staff on issues of the LGBTQIA+ community. This study used programmed instruction via online training modules as a method of providing raining to five direct support professionals on LGBTQIA+ terms and issues. Four online modules were created using equivalency-based instruction to teach specific terms and definitions. Three equivalence classes were established and trained ( A=term, B=definition, and C=scenario). All three classes were trained to mastery within the module sets. A pre and post-test was used determine the learner’s acquisition of the material. All five participants showed at least a 2.5 point increase on posttest scores compared to pretest scores. All participants were able to complete modules to mastery. The use of equivalence-based programmed instruction did appear to improve fluency of terms.Psycholog
Examining Relationships In Applied Behavior Analysis: Training In Compassion, Burnout, Self-Compassion, And Inflexibility
Compassionate care has been shown to have a positive impact on treatment outcomes and is embedded as part of the 2022 Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts. Historically, applied behavior analyst training programs have not universally focused on training in compassion and building therapeutic relationships. It is also not clear to what extent behavior analysts incorporate compassion into their own professional roles (e.g., as practitioners, supervisors/supervisees, or trainers), or engage in additional professional or personal training in this area. A further aim was to investigate whether there are any relationships between the self-reported scores on the amount of training in compassion, burnout, self-compassion, and psychological inflexibility. In the present study, behavior analytic practitioners (n=96) were surveyed on their self-reported educational and professional training experiences in compassion and building therapeutic relationships, and their levels of burnout (OLBI), self-compassion (SCS-SF), and psychological inflexibility (AAQ-2). The self-reported results indicate little training in this area, moderate levels of burnout and self-compassion, and generally low levels of psychological inflexibility. Further, there is a negative relationship between self-compassion and inflexibility. These findings suggest a first step in which more specific training in compassion and psychological flexibility should be incorporated into graduate programs and the workplace.Psycholog
