The Evolution of Accounting: The True Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Future Accountants
This thesis serves to investigate the ways in which artificial intelligence (AI) is changing the accounting industry. The major research questions are: How is AI impacting the field of accounting? What are the potential impacts of AI on employment in the accounting field? To answer these questions, various AI methodologies were found. These methodologies do not have the same level of intelligence; therefore, they were organized under a framework of intelligence for better understanding. Similarly, the most practiced accounting processes were identified and arranged based upon the intelligent framework. After this process was completed, we arrived at the relationship between accounting processes, the applicable AI methodologies, and the associated levels of intelligence. This mapping enables us to see more clearly that the implementation of AI will impact accounting processes differently. Some processes are poised for an imminent take-over by AI. Other processes seem unlikely to be taken over by AI. These conclusions may be used to assist future accountants and prepare them for the evolving industry that is requiring technological skills. These conclusions provide a more realistic assessment for future accountants.Marketing and Decision Science
Consumer Perception Focus on Brand Alliance
Brand alliance is a marketing strategy where two brands collaborate. Brand alliances are fascinating, but the outcomes are difficult to predict. Studying why brands decide to join a brand alliance and what successful brand alliances have traditionally looked like can help identify profitable opportunities. Consumer reactions to brand alliances are also an important aspect of this relationship. Consumer feedback can be gathered instantly through social media analysis. Brand alliances are an increasingly common phenomena, as companies realize that these partnerships will cost fewer resources and can generate more revenue. This paper investigates the concept of brand alliance, specifically why brand alliances form and what aspects of brand alliance make the strategy successful. The focus will be on two kinds of brand alliances: ingredient branding and co-location.Marketing and Decision Science

Managing Present and Increased Coastal Flooding in Boston
In 2018 the City of Boston made the decision to use shore-based nature-based approaches (NBA) to manage present and increased coastal flooding. The alternative to this was to construct a massive offshore harbor-wide barrier. Effective implementation of NBA will require research into the socio-economic and biophysical performance of these systems

An Evaluation of the Validity of English Placement Tests at Imam Abdurrahman Bin Faisal University: A Critical Analysis
This study examines the validity and reliability of English placement exams at Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University and their ability to forecast academic success in English foundation courses. Using a quantitative correlational approach, the research analyzed data from 300 students to assess the relationship between placement test scores and subsequent course grades. Findings indicate that test scores moderately predict course performance, explaining about 38.4% and 36.2% of the variance in grades for two core courses. However, significant variability in test effectiveness across different academic disciplines suggests that the exams may not consistently capture diverse academic needs and language proficiencies. The study recommends targeted refinements in the exam structure and scoring to enhance fairness and accuracy in student placements, addressing specific disparities found across disciplines. These adjustments are crucial for better aligning placement procedures with the educational demands and language competencies at the university.Englis
Plum Island: Looking At A Vulnerable Landscape
Climate change is slowly becoming one of the most commonly discussed modern issues in the world. In a survey spanning 19 countries, the majority of people considered climate change to be a major threat to their country. In the UK, for example, 75% of people considered climate change to be a major threat in 2022, in comparison to 48% in 2013 (Fagan et al., 2022). Among the major threats associated with climate change, Sea level rise (SLR) is one of the most well-known and threatening, bringing with it erosion, flooding, and property damage or loss. Especially at risk are coastal communities such as Plum Island, Massachusetts, a small town in Newbury located on a barrier island. Barrier islands are a deposit of sand that forms parallel to the coast, named for their role in protecting coastal communities and ecosystems from extreme weather (NOAA, 2021). They are particularly vulnerable to erosion, especially when caused by human activity, so their conservation should be considered a priority in order to preserve the property located on them, as well as the ecosystems they foster. This study uses Plum Island as its focus to explore the threat of sea level rise, erosion, and flooding, their impact on housing and property, and potential solutions. This study explores if Plum Island has seen an increase in flooding over the past 10 years, whether this has led to increased property damage and erosion, what solutions have been recommended or attempted, and how Plum Island’s current situation compares to the rest of the world’s experiences. This research report will provide valuable reference to those attempting to understand the potential consequences of climate change, the risks Plum Island faces, and potential courses of action that can be taken.Geography and Sustainabilit
Ticks & Health: A Shared Concern
This project aims to raise awareness about tick-borne diseases, focusing on the rising cases of Lyme disease and other tick-related illnesses affecting both pets and their owners. Tick-borne diseases/illnesses are spread through the bite of an infected tick, causing illnesses. Because of this, ticks present a shared risk, as they can easily infect both animals and humans, leading to health complications in stages that can be lethal. The increasing prevalence of Lyme disease highlights an urgent need for effective prevention strategies. We promote preventative measures, including Lyme vaccinations, oral tick preventatives, DEET repellent, and detection methods for both pets and people. Additionally, we advocate for improved yard and garden management to minimize tick habitats around your home. A flyer was developed to spread essential information and data collected via a google form to assess public awareness and practices. By boosting understanding and implementation of preventative measures, this project aims to reduce the counts of tick-borne diseases in our communities
