مدينة طلبيرة الأندلسية Talavera 94-477هـ / 712-1084م
ملخص البحثطلبيرة مدينة أندلسية تقع في منطقة الثغر الأوسط إلى الشمال الغربي من طليطلة وهي من أعماله ، على الضفة اليمنى من نهر تاجه ، فتحها المسلمون بقيادة طارق بن زياد ، وفيها كان أول لقاء بين الأخير وموسى بن نصير في الأندلس ، واستوطنها العرب والبربر وعمروها ، ثم تطورت الحياة فيها بسبب موقعها الثغري المهم إلى أن أصبحت من المدن المهمة هناك ، واستمر الحكم الإسلامي لها حوالي أربعة قرون عندما سقطت بيد النصارى في حدود سنة 477هـ/1084م .تطلبت مادة البحث أن نقسمها إلى ثلاثة محاور ، خصص الأول للجغرافية التاريخية للمدينة من حيث الموقع وأهم مظاهرها الطبيعية ، كما تناولنا في المحور الثاني التاريخ السياسي لطلبيرة وما مرت بها من أحداث خلال عهود الدولة الإسلامية المختلفة حتى سقوط المدينة بيد النصارى في النصف الثاني من القرن الخامس الهجري / الحادي عشر الميلادي ، كما تطرق المحور الثالث من البحث إلى بعض الجوانب الحضارية للمدينة ولاسيما أهم رجالاتها الذين أسهموا في ميادين العلم المختلفة .

THE CORROSION BEHAVIOR AND WEAR RESISTANCE OF GRAY CAST IRON
Gray cast iron has many applications as pipes , pumps and valve bodies where it has influenced by heat and contact with other solutions . This research has studied the corrosion behavior and Vickers hardness of gray cast iron by immersion in four strong alkaline solutions (NaOH, KOH, Ca(OH)2, LiOH)with three concentrations (1%,2%,3%) of each solution. Dry sliding wear has carried out before and after the heat treatments (stress relief ,normalizing, hardening and tempering). In this work ,maximum wear strength has obtained at tempered gray cast iron and minimum corrosion rate has obtained in LiOH solution by forming protective white visible oxide layer. http://dx.doi.org/10.30572/2018/kje/090108
Contribution adjacent modes for circular microstrip antenna loaded by two annular rings
In this paper, theoretical study of circular microstrip antenna loaded by two annular rings (CMSAL2AR) and calculation the contribution of the adjacent modes and studied positively or negatively affected on the antenna's coefficients (Bandwidth and Directive Gain).The proposed antenna using principle equivalence with moment of method formulation of electromagnetic radiation to find unknown electric current density on the conductor surface , and both unknowns electric and magnetic density current on the dielectric surface which are responsible for the generation of far fields radiation in the space for the components (Eθ ,Eφ) . From the radiation pattern can be calculated with contribution of the adjacent mode. The directive gain increased to (G= 19.92 dB) and bandwidth has been better (BW%= 19.9%) when this contribution is affect positively at the ratioRab=5.5 and Rab=6.5respectively.http://dx.doi.org/10.31257/2018/JKP/10010
A study of diabetic retinopathy in type 2 diabetic patients and its relation with diabetic progression
The study aimed to investigate the diabetic retinopathy in type 2 diabetic patients and its relation with the glycemic control represented with the glycatedhaemoglobin (HbA1c). The study performed in the diabetic and endocrinology center at Al-Sader medical city in Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf. The study included 102 subjects, divided into a (10) healthy subjects ascontrol group and two groups of diabetic patients attended to the diabetic and endocrinology center at Al-Sader medical city and diagnosed as type 2 diabetic patients, divided into two groups with and without retinopathy. The type of retinopathy was determined by physicians, there are three retinopathy subtypes: diabetic retinopathy in early stages, proliferative retinopathy and macular edema.Most DR patients were in early stages of retinopathy 37.25%, proliferative diabetic retinopathy 11.76%, and macular edema 11.76%.The results shows a significant increase of diabetic retinopathy DR prevalence with increasing diabetic duration, the incidence of DR was highest in patients of 15-20 years of diabetes mellitus,and the highest were the proliferative , then macular edema 12.33 ± 18.6 and 14.16 ± 2.32 respectively. The level of fasting plasma glucose among control, DM and DR groups increased significantly (P < 0.05), while there was no significant differences (P < 0.05) in FPG levels between these subtypes of DR. The HbA1c was significantly highest (P<0.05 )in DM and DR (6.65% ± 0.29 and 8.025 ± 0.19 respectively) when compared with 5.73% ± 0.18 in the control group. According to the successive HbA1c percentiles,the early stages of DR were found in all levels of HbA1c, but the highest incidence were in the highest levels. Also proliferative DR begin to appear at 7-7.5 % of HbA1c, andits highest incidence were at 7.5 – 8 %. Macular edema increased at 7-7.5% and at levels highest than 10.5 %.There was a significant decrease in body mass index BMI in DR patients when compared with other groups, and a significant decrease in BMI in proliferative DR and macular edema when compared with the control.The study concluded that there is a critical need to perform a periodical check to diabetic patients to diagnose the retinopathy in its early appearance, and to use the glycosylated haemoglobin as measurement periodically to detect any increase or fluctuation in this parameter to control the glycemic state in these patients
Dramatic Responses to US-Iraq War: A Study in David Hare's Stuff Happens
Contemporary War drama is described as a reaction to the profound suffering brought up by war that has, unfortunately, become a supreme language of communication in the Modern era. Hence, the English contemporary political theatre has displayed unique interconnectedness between drama and politics: interest in US-Iraq war is indeed not an exception. British playwright, David Hare, belongs to a trend of war drama that enables the world to witness the truth, trauma and the violence of US-Iraq war. Stuff Happens subtly helps show how US coercive diplomacy manipulates other Powers to fulfill the new doctrine of " New American Century." In Stuff Happens, Hare documents the recent tragic history of Iraq in such an approach that blends the documentary with the fictional to display the events from 2000, till the actual invasion of Iraq in April, 2003. The play traces the origins of US-Iraq war and unveils all the attempts and the procedures undertaken by Bush and his administration team to invade Iraq
علاقة المجمع العلمي العراقي باتحاد المجامع اللغوية العربية
يمكن لنا الاستنتاج الى ان هدف اتحاد المجامع اللغوية العلمية العربية الذي رمى إليه منذ تأسيسه هو توحيد المصطلح العلمي العربي للقضاء على ما يورثه تعدد المصطلح للمقابل العلمي الواحد من بلبلة وفوضى، ويسعى الاتحاد دائباً لهذا التوحيد، وما يستتبعه من تعزيز لنهضة علمية عربية، يتعاون فيها العلماء العرب في شتى أقطارهم.ولم يستطع الاتحاد، لظروف خارجة عن إرادته، أن ينهض بمهمته على الوجه الأمثل، ولابد من مضاعفة الجهد للقضاء على جميع العقبات التي تقف في طريق الاتحاد كي يقوى على تأدية ما نيط به من مهام. ويمكن حصر الأهداف التي أنشئت من اجلها المجامع اللغوية العربية فيما يلي:إثراء اللغة العربية بجعلها مواكبة لمتطلبات العصر توحيد المصطلحات العلمية وألفاظ الحضارة تشجيع الترجمة والتعريب لزيادة ثروة اللغة العربية وتنمية طاقاتها التعبيرية وضع المعاجم التي تواجه حاجات العصر تيسير قواعد تعليم اللغة العربية سواء من ناحية النحو أو الصرف أو الكتابة إحياء التراث وتحقيق أمهات الكتب العربية القديمة في شتى المجالا
A COMPUTATIONAL AND EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF AIR FLOW AND CONTAMINANTS CONCENTRATION IN A LABORATORY WITH MIXING VENTILATION SYSTEM
In this research an experimental and computational analysis under Iraqi climate of temperature distribution, velocity and contaminants concentration in the air-conditioned laboratory have been studied for two case studies. Case-I chosen internal combustion engine laboratory of dimensions (10.3 x 8.7 x 3.75) m with a different number of engines used in the experiments and Case-II chosen laboratory of chemical and petroleum products dimensions (3.7x3.6x3.3)m with different locations of the supply air terminal diffuser compared to the existing design situation. ANSYS FLUENT 14 used to simulate the model's laboratories for compared between the present practical work and numerical work results which are acquired by using RNG K-ε and SST k-ω models and found that the SST k-ω model more accurate. The SST (k-w) turbulence model were employed to solve the governing equations numerically with Reynold number 28,933 and validated by comparing the numerical results with experimental data, and this comparison gives a good agreement. The numerical results for case-I compared with experimental data, while for case-II, the numerical results compared with the standard value due to Iraqi cooling code and ASHRAE standards. The results showed that the mixing ventilation system is able to remove various types of pollutants effectively up to 90% in addition to providing human thermal comfort conditions with the effectively of heat removal up to 85% for the state of the internal combustion laboratory. The second case at laboratory of chemical and petroleum products when the supply air terminal diffuser in the same side, the results showed an increase in comfort conditions by up to 40%.Lastly, from the research, it was found that the pollutant transportation and distribution depend in general upon several factors such as type and location of contaminant source, building geometry, the arrangement of air terminal diffuser opening, and thermal/fluid boundary conditions for example flow rate. Numerical simulation of the velocity and diffusion fields in a conventional flow in laboratories is very useful in comprehending flow and diffusion patterns within different changes of the flow conditions.http://dx.doi.org/10.30572/2018/kje/09031
تمثلات الانساق المؤسسة للإرهاب في الشعر العراقي المعاصر
تناولت في هذا البحث القواعد المؤسسة لنسق الإرهاب, وتوصلت إلى أن البنية التي ساعدت بعناصرها في تجلي نسق الإرهاب, وهي السلطة التعسفية التي تعّد المهاد الأول للإرهاب, وهي تتمثل بالتسلط والدكتاتورية, و وسائلها التعسفية القمعية المتمثلة بالعنف وجاءت النصوص الشعرية بانساقها المعلنة والانساق المضمرة التي تكون بجانبها لتعضد موضوعة الإرهاب, فكانت النصوص الشعرية التي تدل على الدكتاتورية بانساقها على اختلافها, أكثر حضوراً في البحث, وذلك لكون الدكتاتورية أهم المسببات للإرهاب, ونخلص إلى أن التسلط والدكتاتورية يمثلان قاعدتين مؤسستين لظهور الإرهاب في العراق
Studying the Surface Morphology and Optical Properties of 4-Methylbenzenthiol Capped Gold Nanoparticles Films with Annealing
Surface morphology and optical properties in term of Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) of 4-methylbenzenthiol capped gold nanoparticles using Langmuir-Schaefer (LS) technique were studied. 1 and 3-layers nanoparticle films with 1mg/ml in concentration have been prepared. Gold nanoparticles films were annealed at 200oC for 1h. Film’s morphology and SPR before and after annealing were investigated by Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and UV-Vis spectrophotometer respectively. After annealing, a drastic change in the shape and size of the nanoparticles was revealed; however, no significant effect of film thickness on the gold nanoparticle size was observed. UV-Vis spectra showed reduction in intensity and decrease in width of SPR peaks as a result to annealing. Blueshift in SPR position has been observed for both heat treated films
