In present research, ZnO nanorod arrays have been synthesizedsuccessfully by microwave assisted chemical bath deposition (MA-CBD) method on SiO2 substrate.Structural and morphological properties were performing by XRD and FESEM, which prove the quality of prepared ZnO nanorod arrays. Gas sensing measurements for the resulting ZnO nanorod arrayshave been made by means of data acquisition system. The measurements show high sensitivity toward acetone vapor at different working temperatures

Computation of Radiation from Wire Antennas on, or near, Conducting Bodies of Translation

    No full text
A method of moments (MM) formulation is presented for active and passive wire radiators attached to, or near, bodies of translation( BOT), including open or closed cylinders of arbitrary cross section as well as curved panels. This formulation builds on previous MM analysis for BOT's and wires. The analysis incorporates a special junctions basis set for the antenna attachment points. Total domain and piecewise continuous expansion functions are used on the surfaces. The formulation is primarily intended for prediction of radiation patterns of wire antenna (such as monopoles and loops) on asymmetric bodies of translation, open or closed(capped). Fortran Power Station 90 was used to programming. Radiation patterns  are plotted by origin program

This study deals with clipping in English and Arabic. Clipping is shortening a word into one of its elements.     This study is an attempt in contrastive analysis. It aims to identifying, analyzing, and contrasting the process of clipping in English and in Arabic. It also aims to know whether Arabic has a clipping process for creating new words or not?      The procedures followed in this study are giving a full description of clipping structure in English and Arabic and then making a comparison between them.     It is found that Modern Standard Arabic has not an independent process called clipping for creating new words as in English. But it has a partition process. Arabic partition process can be used for grammatical and poetic purposes as in vocative st

Evalution of Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency in jaundice neonates

    Get PDF
Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) is present in all cells of the body where it is involved in pentose phosphate shunt, and it catalyses the oxidation of glucose-6-phosphate to 6-phosphogluconolactone. This step is necessary for the reduction of hydrogen peroxide. In G6PD deficient red cells, oxidative stress can cause hemolysis. In G6PD deficient individuals, the enzyme shows a lower concentration than the normal. The enzyme is also present in leukocytes, platelets; liver, kidneys and adrenals where the deficiency is not severe to cause the pathological effects since there are alternate pathways for the generation of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) in nucleated cells. Bactericidal activity of neutrophils is decreased and the affected subject is prone to repeated infections. In enteric fever, pneumonia and hepatitis, G6PD deficient subjects react more severely and hemolysis can complicate the course of disease. Although G6PD deficiency associated, hemolysis is the most important manifestation, it is association with cardiac disease, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, preeclampsia, aging process and infertility has highlighted its importance.
