Experience in the biological cultivation of poppy in Germany, especially when sown in autumn, is small. That is why research is needed concerning yield stability, weed management and nutrition and is the reason for this study that deals with different seeding dates and varying nitrogen nutrition and their effects on plant development and yield. The chosen fertilizer was horn meal in small (0-1 mm) and coarse grained (4-7 mm) particle sizes. Both were applied either with 30 kg N ha-1 or 80 kg ha-1. Plant height of the first seeding date (S1) was highest for the variety that received 80 kg N ha-1 small grained horn meal (Final heigt on 22.06.18: 123,2 cm, p<0.05). No continuously significant influence of the N-fertilization was determined for plants sown on the second seeding date (S2). These tendencies are also shown in the data of dry matter and leaf area index. Until midth of May significant differences in plant height due to seeding date could be seen in all fertilization varieties. In the following months height converged to similar levels, an exception made the varieties fertilized with 80 kg ha-1 of horn meal. Seeding date also had an influence on dry matter that was significantly higher for the early sown plants until the midth of April (Variety 80 kg N ha-1: 7,22 g m-² (S1) & 2,08 g m-² (S2) on March 28th 2018). Concerning the agronomic parameters of plant development tendencies are shown towards an advantage of high N-fertilization in the form of horn meal. Including yield data will probably reveal further effects

Cervicitis is an inflammatory condition of the cervix associated with upper genital tract infection and reproductive complications. Therapy for cervicitis in conventional system is the use of antibiotics and antifungal therapies and surgical interventions, none of these treatments provides the definite efficacy in spite of high cost and side effect. So there is a need for alternate therapy which is safe, effective, easily available and free from side effects. Our study focuses on medicinal plants mentioned in main Iranian Traditional Medicine reference books. Medicinal plants mentioned in Iranian Traditional Medicine for treatment of Cervicitis were elicited and searched in electronic databases including PubMed, Scopus, Science direct and Google Scholar to find studies that confirmed their efficacy. The findings included 311plants(Which are mentioned below) belonging to 21 families, research findings showed that these plants that have mentioned in the Iranian Traditional Medicine resources can contribute to the recovery and treatment of cervicitis through anti- inflammatory, anti- oxidant, anti- bacterial and anti- fungal, wound healing and analgesic effects. Finding the medicinal plants effective on cervicitis based on ITM could suggest a better strategy for relieving and management cervicitis symptoms especially in recurrent or persistent condition. In following step effect of selected plants were investigated. Results are confirmed the effect of Lawsonia inermis on treating Cervicitis which is currently in progress (Zareshahi et al. 2018).Cervicitis is an inflammatory condition of the cervix associated with upper genital tract infection and reproductive complications.

    Get PDF
According to Directive 2009/128/EC, all member states should have inspected all in-use Pesticide Application Equipment (PAE) by November 2016. In Greece, Law 4036/2012 embodied the provisions of this Directive into Greek legislation, but unfortunately due to various reasons, the inspections were significantly delayed. Aim of the current study is to briefly present the inspection system of in-use PAE that was developed due to the aforementioned law and then provide the statistical results of the inspections until February 2018. The progress of the last two years was significant, but a lot of work remains to make the inspection system functional and unproblematic.According to Directive 2009/128/EC, all member states should have inspected all in-use Pesticide Application Equipment (PAE) by November 2016. The objective of the sprayer inspection is to reduce the risk for the environment and bystanders, since it is said that sprayers with malfunctions cause a reduction of the sprayer application efficiency. In order to know the condition of the sprayers before the inspection, the results of 11712 sprayers, inspected between 2014 and 2016 in Catalonia, were assessed. The average rate of unfavourable inspections was 38%. The most frequent defect find in the inspections was a wrong pressure gauge, mainly because its error was greater than the requirements of the inspection standard. Other common malfunctions were related with safety aspects, like missing or deteriorated guards in power transmission and other moving parts. In air-assisted sprayers, worn or clogged nozzles were also responsible for many unfavourable inspections, whereas in boom sprayers missing filters was a frequent cause for them. Since an important number of faults and malfunctions are corrected during the inspection, it can be stated that the inspection of sprayers in use improve the efficiency of the spray application, both reducing the risk for the environment and allowing a good control of pests and diseases with the minimum pesticide input. The objective of the sprayer inspection is to reduce the risk for the environment and bystanders, since it is said that sprayers with malfunctions cause a reduction of the sprayer application efficiency.
