    No full text
This study investigates the relationship between female customers’ online flow state and loyalty and the mediating roles of their smartphone addiction and brand experience in this mechanism. To achieve this purpose, data were collected from 507 female customers in Türkiye through a questionnaire survey and analyzed using the structural equation modeling technique. The findings indicated that brand experience mediated the relationship between online flow experience and customer loyalty. Additionally, smartphone addiction mediated the relationship between brand experience and customer loyalty. The analysis revealed that while online flow state significantly influenced brand experience, its direct effect on customer loyalty was insignificant. Moreover, the study identified that smartphone addiction plays a critical role in shaping customer loyalty, especially among young female users. These results emphasize the importance of designing ethical marketing strategies that enhance brand experience while considering the potential risks of smartphone addiction. This study contributes to the literature by being one of the first to examine these variables in an integrated model within the mobile commerce context.

    No full text
The integration of women in leadership positions in higher education institutions (HEIs) is a worldwide challenging phenomenon, while their remarkable contributions enhance the achievement of organizational goals. However, women's engagement in leadership positions is limited in HEI, despite various initiatives to promote it. Thus, this study examines the barriers and enablers of women's integration into leadership roles in HEIs in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). The study used secondary information that was located online using keywords linked to women's integration into leadership roles in HEIs in Sub-Saharan Africa. The search was performed systematically across databases: scientific journal articles, case studies, and numerous reports based on varied methodologies and situations are among the sources chosen. (Examples of databases: Google Scholar, EBSCO host, Web of Science, IEEE, and the ACM Digital Library). The findings revealed that in Sub-Saharan Africa, institutional, social, and personal barriers act as barriers to the integration of women into leadership roles in HEIs. On the other hand, mentoring, leadership development, networking, and gender mainstreaming facilitate women’s integration into leadership roles in HEIs in SSA. The study is significant because the conclusions help policymakers and other worldwide stakeholders in their discussions about achieving gender equality in career development, noting down the obstacles and developing enabling policies

    No full text
This study examines the critical role of information sharing in enhancing the performance of the cold chain for fruits and vegetables in Tanzania, focusing on Arumeru and Hai districts. A convergent parallel design was employed alongside a census technique, surveying 114 actors involved in the fruit and vegetable sector from both districts. Additionally, 12 firms were purposefully selected for in-depth interviews with the same target population. Descriptive and inferential analyses were conducted to evaluate the data. The findings reveal that both reciprocity and information technology significantly and positively influence the performance of the cold chain for fruits and vegetables. These results suggest that, given the perishable nature of fruits and vegetables, effective information sharing among supply chain actors is essential, as it enhances transparency and trust across the chain. This helps mitigate inefficiencies, reduce post-harvest losses, and ultimately increase the profitability of cold chain actors in Tanzania's evolving agricultural landscape. The study recommended that actors in the fruit and vegetable industry should utilize mobile technology and social media to share information to increase market access and ensure that products arrive at customers in the best possible condition, given their short shelf life

The Use of Omnibus Method by Formation of Local Regulations in Indonesia

    No full text
The implementation of good governance, innovation in public sector is often done on an ad hoc basis, for example in response to new programs, budget disbursements, or requests to improve the quality of public services to be better delivered by the government. The alternative is to create a governance model that supports strategic management innovation, where innovation becomes an ongoing strategy to address efficiency goals and simplification of procedures across the public sector. The underlying philosophy is to develop an organization's ability to systematically improve the output of services provided to the public. Legal research in this study uses normative research. The omnibus method is appropriate, meets the requirements and is urgent to be used in the formation of Regional Regulations, which philosophically will provide benefits and legal certainty through the arrangement and consolidation of regulations. Theoretically, omnibus is an alternative method in order to improve and simplify regional regulations because it can change, revoke and form several regional regulations into one regional regulation

One of the indigenous communities that still maintains its traditions and cultural values is the Dayak Tunjung Benuaq tribe, located in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan. One of the customary values that still applies and is maintained in this indigenous community is a ceremony known as the Kwangkai Traditional Ceremony, which is held routinely every year. The Kwangkai traditional ceremony is a traditional ceremony, one of which is to preserve the customary values and culture of the Dayak Tunjung Benuaq tribe. The Kwangkai traditional ceremony is actually a sacred ritual that aims to maintain the cultural values of the Dayak Tunjung Benuaq indigenous community. Botor Buyang is a game activity carried out during the Kwangkai traditional ceremony in the indigenous tribe as a sacred ritual to honor the ancestral spirits of the Tunjung Benuaq indigenous people, Kutaikartanegara, East Kalimantan. Initially, Botor buyang was considered an inseparable part of the Kwangkai traditional ceremony. However, because Botor Buyang contains elements of gambling, namely there is an element of luck, Botor Buyang is considered gambling. Therefore, Botor Buyang must be prohibited because it harms the sacred values of the indigenous people and is not in accordance with the values of community life. To carry out this prohibition, a Regional Regulation must be formed on traditional activities, including the Kwangkai traditional ceremony by including a prohibition on gambling in any form, so that the police and other law enforcers have a legal basis in prohibiting and prosecuting perpetrators of gambling in the traditional ceremony

Re-examining The Relationship Between Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Sustainability Perspective within The Framework of The Abernathy and Clark Model

    No full text
The concepts of innovation and entrepreneurship are encountered in the literature as two concepts that feed each other while increasing their popularity, but there is no accepted study on which one is the initiator of the cycle. In our study, where the theoretical development processes of the concepts are discussed in detail, it is aimed to make the cycle more efficient and sustainable by finding the initiator. Innovation is the process of creating new ideas, products, processes or services and their systematic implementation. This process encompasses not only technical or technological developments, but also changes in organisational structures, business models and value models. In essence, innovation is a quest to create value that will contribute to the environment, society and governance. Entrepreneurship, on the other hand, is the process of recognising and valorising opportunities for environmental, social and managerial contribution. Could the answer to whether we innovate because we are entrepreneurs or become entrepreneurs because we learn to innovate and recognise opportunities from an innovative perspective be hidden in the environment. In the Abernathy and Clark model, revolutionary and structural environment focuses on learning, while regular and niche innovation emphasises the innate characteristics of the individual, but without an appropriate learning and practice environment, innate innovative tendencies can be suppressed and negatively affect entrepreneurial activities. In our study, in order to examine the relationality in detail, in addition to a systematic literature review, analyses were conducted on 5-year data of 43 countries. It is emphasised that innovation is a phenomenon that can be taught to human capital and initiates entrepreneurship

How Startups were Affected by the Covid-19 Outbreak? Mediating Role of the Perception of Environmental Uncertainties of Impact Analysis on Intellectual Capital and Core Competencies

    No full text
The point where intellectual capital turns into value and gains meaning and quality in the real world is expressed as core competencies, because the concept of core competencies is described as the area where the organization emphasizes its unique features or products in order to provide sustainable competitive advantage. Therefore, it is stated that intellectual capital affects core competencies and this approach is necessary for the motive of survival and competitive advantage of startups. In the relation between the two concepts, the mediating effect of environmental conditions and the perception of environmental uncertainty is quite determinant, especially under the pandemic (Covid-19) conditions. Modeling the relationship except perception of environmental uncertainty regarding to the situation may prevent accurate generalizations. Based on the literature and similar empirical researches in this field, this study discusses the impact analysis between intellectual capital and core competencies within the mediating role of the perception of environmental uncertainty. Impact analysis and mediation role were analyzed using the structural equation model and an online questionnaire was used as a data collection instrument. The Covid-19 global pandemic which took place while the study was in progress, did not allow to face-to-face questionnaire method during the data collection process of the study as a result of the pandemic affecting the whole world and people being quarantined at home. The sample of the research is entrepreneurs working in startups. Online surveys were sent to 2.762 entrepreneurs from 6.614 startups, which constitute the universe of the research, and data from 245 participants were included in the analysis of the research. In the data analysis of this research SPSS and LISREL software programs were preferred, and hypotheses created referring to hypothetical and empirical studies were tested with the structural equation model technique. As a result of the study, it was determined that the perception of environmental uncertainty has a mediating role in the impact analysis on intellectual capital and core competencies of startups
