GER_SET: Situation Entity Type labelled corpus for German
Semantic clause types, also called Situation Entity (SE) types (Smith, 2003) are linguistic characterizations of aspectual properties shown to be useful for tasks like argumentation structure analysis (Becker et al., 2016), genre characterization (Palmer and Friedrich, 2014), and detection of generic and generalizing sentences (Friedrich et al., 2016). We annotate several texts from different genres (newspaper, commentary, argumentative texts, and Wikipedia articles) with Situation Entity types. This data is in German.

This dataset contains source code and system output used in the PhD thesis "Aspects of Coherence for Entity Analysis".
This dataset is split into three parts corresponding to the chapters describing the three main contributions of the thesis:
chapter3.tar.gz: Java source code for the entity linking system based on interleaved multitasking, system results, system output. Java and Python source code for automatic verification of entity linking results. Java source code for the Visual Entity Explorer.

DeModify
deModify consists of 3631 instances, each with three annotations obtained through CrowdFlower. An instance is a short story in which a modifier is annotated with respect to its impact on the information in the story, assessed through its deletion from the context: crucial, not-crucial, ungrammatical. Based on these annotations we have created two gold standards: strict (includes instances on which all annotators agree) and relaxed (majority voting). The archive contains a file that proposes a split into 5 folds for the instances that belong to either of the gold standards
Climate policy commitment devices [Dataset]
We develop a dynamic resource extraction game that mimics the global multi-generation planning problem for climate change and fossil fuel extraction. We implement the game under different conditions in the laboratory. Compared to a baseline condition, we find that policy interventions that provide a costly commitment device or reduce climate threshold uncertainty reduce resource extraction. We also study two conditions to assess the underlying social preferences and the viability of ecological dictatorship. Our results suggest that climate change policies that focus on investments that lock the economy into carbon-free energy sources provide an important commitment device in the intertemporal cooperation problem

Point Beauty Contest: Measuring the Distribution of Focal Points on the Individual Level [Dataset]
We propose the Point Beauty Contest, a mechanism to identify the distribution of focal points on the individual level. By contrast to conventional coordination, subjects coordinate by the distribution of points. This allows for nuanced coordination strategies, as subjects can invest in multiple alternatives at the same time and weigh their choice. A subject´s strategy choice then reveals her perception of the distribution of focal points. In an experiment on the elicitation of social norms, we compare the mechanism with conventional coordination. The data confirms the theoretical predictions regarding coordination behavior and demonstrates that the proposed technique is suited to identify the distribution of focal points on the individual level. Using Monte Carlo simulations, we find that the proposed mechanism identifies focal points on the population level more efficiently than conventional coordination. We point to the possibility of using the mechanism as a simple method to directly measure strategic uncertainty

Hedging, ambiguity, and the reversal of order axiom [Dataset]
We ran experiments that gave subjects a straight-forward and simple opportunity to
hedge away ambiguity in an Ellsberg-style experiment. Subjects had to make bets on the combined outcomes of a fair coin and a draw from an ambiguous urn. By modifying the timing of the draw, coin flip, and decision, we are able to test the reversal-of-order axiom. Our main result is that the reversal-of-order axiom seems to hold. We also confirm low levels of ambiguity hedging despite the relative obviousness of the opportunity
