Study of permanent residential management in Tondo Village, Palu City
Currently the regional government of Central Sulawesi Province through the Ministry of PUPR has built several permanent residential units (Huntap) for victims of the natural disaster on September 28 2018 that occurred in Palu City, one of which is located in Tondo Village, right behind the Tadulako University Campus. However, based on the results of the initial survey that had been carried out, there were still some things that were not given much attention, such as the provision of housing facilities and infrastructure as well as the shape of houses and their locations that did not respond to the topographic climatic conditions in Palu City. Based on the above premise, regarding the importance of permanent housing arrangement for victims of natural disasters, a problem can be formulated, namely "What is the concept of permanent housing arrangement in Tondo Village with a healthy shelter-based approach?"This study uses a rationalistic approach. The rationalistic approach is an approach that sees truth not solely from empirical conditions but also from argumentation as a part of thinking construction. To collect information and obtain data that is directly related to the research, a direct observation was carried out which included observation at the permanent residential location of Tondo Village which was the object of this study.The design concept carried out in the arrangement of permanent housing in Tondo Village is to formulate the concept of providing housing facilities and infrastructure. In addition to this, the model of residential buildings is also designed to be more attractive, so that it will be different from the appearance of permanent residential buildings that currently exist. The house design is maximized to be able to respond to the climate around a permanent residence, so as to be able to produce designs that guarantee the health of the residents of the house. The structural system used is no different from existing huntap building structural system, namely the simple healthy instant house structure system (RISHA)
Performance analysis of naive bayes in text classification of islamophobia issues
In the aftermath of the 2013 Woolwich attack, a disturbing surge in hate crimes against the Muslim community emerged both offline and on social media platforms, prompting concerns about the widespread issue of Islamophobia. To systematically evaluate and quantify the presence of Islamophobic sentiment in online spaces, this study employed sentiment analysis, a robust method for deriving insights from textual data. Two classification models, Bernoulli Naive Bayes and Multinomial Naive Bayes, were selected to conduct a thorough analysis. Bernoulli Naive Bayes, specialized in handling binary data, was used for binary sentiment analysis, while Multinomial Naive Bayes, well-suited for data with multiple occurrences, was applied for more comprehensive analysis. The research encompassed nine meticulously designed test-train data scenarios, ranging from a 10:90 test-train data ratio to a 20:80 ratio. Surprisingly, both models exhibited a maximum accuracy rate of 68% in their respective optimal scenarios, raising intriguing questions about the potential and limitations of sentiment analysis and Naive Bayes models in the complex task of identifying and quantifying Islamophobic content on social medi
Mapping crime determinants in Central Java: an in-depth exploration through local spatial association and regression analysis
Economic development often brings prosperity to communities, but it can also be accompanied by growing disparities that, when unaddressed, lead to increased crime rates. Central Java, an Indonesian province, has been grappling with a persistent high crime rate, necessitating an in-depth examination of the factors underlying this phenomenon. In this study, we employ a rigorous research methodology, incorporating data sources from the Central Java Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and utilizing key independent variables, including population, unemployment, poverty, Age-Dependency Ratio (APS), and Relative Location Quotient (RLS). Through the application of advanced spatial analysis techniques such as the Local Indicator of Spatial Association (LISA) and the Spatial Autoregressive Model (SAR), this research offers a nuanced exploration of the spatial relationships and regression analysis of these variables. Notably, the study presents a tree map highlighting crime distribution in Central Java's districts and cities. The findings reveal that these five variables exhibit a 75.48% accuracy in predicting crime in Central Java. Factors Influencing open unemployment rates: a spatial regression analysis
The present study employed spatial regression analysis as a methodological approach to get insights into the unemployment rates across Indonesian provinces in the year 2016. The official website of the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BPS) offers secondary data pertaining to several socio-economic indicators, including the Total Open Unemployment Rate, Economic Growth Rate, Human Development Index, Severity of Poverty Index, and School Participation Rates. The investigation employed the Geoda software package and encompassed Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression, Dependency/Correlation investigation, and Spatial Autoregressive Model. The data presented in the study revealed the existence of three distinct provincial groupings characterized by varying levels of unemployment rates. In the context of unemployment variance, the traditional regression model accounted for 30 percent of the observed variation. However, the spatial regression model used spatial dependencies to enhance accuracy in capturing the phenomenon. The aforementioned findings have the potential to assist policymakers in formulating strategies to address unemployment in regions characterized by distinct spatial attributes, hence offering a potential blueprint for other nations
Optimizing performing arts innovations at the Ceprotan ceremony: An overview of the perspective of empowering rural communities in Pacitan, Indonesia
Artistic research on community empowerment through artistic innovation in the Ceprotan Ceremony in Sekar Village aims to explain how the steps for optimizing performing arts innovations at the Ceprotan ceremony are through village community empowerment strategies. The initial step of this artistic research was carried out by direct observation to obtain data and information regarding the myths and practices of the Ceprotan Ceremony. In addition, to obtain more in-depth data, the researcher used the participant observer strategy and, at the same time, conducted in-depth interviews. The results of this investigation are then used by researchers to develop a community empowerment-based artistic innovation model. The results of this community empowerment-based artistic research are (1) systematic performance management; (2) the creation of social cohesion in the series of Ceprotan performances; (3) the identity of the village of Sekar is formed; (4) the revitalization of the Sekar Taji dance drama; (5) the reduction of bad events or trance (possession). The contribution of this research is an example for other regions that want to use artistic innovation as the formation of village identity and, at the same time, as an effort to complement and advance the cultural potential of Sekar Villag
A dramatistic analysis of Indonesian influencers' statements in responding to sexual harassment allegations
This article aims to dig deeper and reveal the rhetorical strategies of three influencers who are alleged sexual harassment perpetrators in their statements on social media. Social media has given a way for sexual harassment victims to expose their perpetrators, including those who are public figures. However, the alleged perpetrators are also given the same platform to share their statements. Recently, there have been many sexual harassment allegations against social media influencers and celebrities. These public figures then used the same social media platforms they were already familiar with to publish their statements. The study uses qualitative assessment and observation on video statements from Indonesian influencers, Billy Joe Ava, Gofar Hilman, and Niko Al Hakim. Analyses were made based on Kenneth Burke’s Dramatism theory, defining the pentadic elements, and assessing the guilt and redemption approach, as well as the identification strategy. Findings from the assessment reveal that in addressing the allegations, two pentadic elements are dominantly used, agent and scene, with the aim of identifying themselves with the audience, providing a background of the accusation, and hence maintaining influence on their audience. Moreover, scapegoating is the main redemption strategy, with variations in the chosen scapegoats
Spectrum Sensing Utilizing Power Threshold and Artificial Intelligence in Cognitive Radio
The purpose of this paper was to take a preventative approach to predict the transmission status of the primary user (PU) on the white spectrum throughout the duration of the simulation. We intend to reduce the computational simulation budget to eliminate user interference by precise spectrum sensing handoff. We develop PU behaviors to use a time waiting estimate methodology that gives band occupancy time intervals. The proposed strategy may also lessen risks associated with flexible clients and adapt to changing channels. Real-time applications will use ANN range sharing, which reduces transmission delay, while high-throughput applications will use PTHD range sharing. Since noise as well as obscuring effects after each transmission plan, their proximity in the channel can influence range detection. This finding is in line with published investigations. Most range detection systems compare frequency test results with the operating channel's control scope thickness. The paper met design objectives by developing a noise-independent sensing methodology with proactive time estimation. The trial is accomplished with reduced cost and latency
NB Theory with Bargaining Problem: A New Theory
A new theory is proposed to achieve desired set of values for an engineering system based on a single algorithm that consists of all optimization algorithms. This algorithm considers an engineering system's main variables, dimensions, and functions; all these parameters will be set and tuned by a systematic search in the main library. This single algorithm automatically selects an optimization algorithm suitable for a particular optimization problem. Additionally, this theory, which was inspired by the idea of bargaining theory and Noorulden Basil theory, referred to as NB Theory, can be done using MATLAB Software
Robotic Motion Planning in Dynamic Environments and its Applications
The fundamental problem of robot motion planning in a dynamic environment (RMPDE) is to find an optimal collision-free path from the start to the goal in a dynamic environment. Our literature survey of over 100 papers from the last four decades reveals that there are more than 30 models of RMPDE, and there is no benchmarking criterion to select one that is the best in a given situation. In this context, generating a regression-based model with 10 attributes is the first and foremost contribution of our research. Given a highly human-interactive environment like a cafeteria or a bus stand, the gross hidden Markov model has special importance for modeling a robot path. A variant of the growing hidden Markov model for a serving robot in a cafeteria is the second contribution of this paper. We simulated the behavior of GHMM in a cafeteria with static and dynamic obstacles (static obstacles were both convex and concave) and with three different arrangements of the tables and obstacles. Robots have been employed in mushroom harvesting. A novel proposition discussed in this paper is probabilistic road map planning for a robot that finds an optimum path for reaching the ripened mushrooms in a randomly planted mushroom farm and a dexterous hand to pluck the selected mushrooms by employing inverse kinematics. Further, two biologically inspired meta-heuristic algorithms, ant colony optimization, and firefly has been studied for their application to latex collection. The simulation results with this environment show that the firefly algorithm outperforms ant colony optimization in the general case. Finally, we have proposed a few pointers for future research in this domain. The compilation and comparison of various approaches to robot motion planning in highly dynamic environments, and the simulation of a few models for some typical scenarios, have been the contributions of this paper
Active Control System Applied to Vibration Level Control in High-Speed Elevators
This work presents an active control system applied to vibration level reduction in high-performance vertical transport, aiming at improving the passengers’ comfort in high-speed elevators. The control system design includes the use of a Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) control. Three strategies were proposed in order to achieve a 90% reduction in the vibration amplitudes: (I) the consecutive reduction of 90% of the displacements, (II) the consecutive reduction of 90% of the velocity, and (III) the consecutive reduction of 90% of the acceleration. The presentation of these three proposals allows their application for the use of different sensors. The performance of each strategy was evaluated through mathematical modeling and numerical simulations of a vertical transport with 4 degrees of freedom, submitted to excitations arising from rail deformations. Vibration and comfort levels in the cabin were numerically analyzed, taking into account ISO 2631 and BS 6841 standards for elevator lateral acceleration level and comfort level felt by passengers. Numerical simulations showed that the force required to reduce the vibration levels is practically the same for the three proposed strategies. However, strategy (III) – the successive reduction of 90% of acceleration – proved to be more efficient at improving passengers’ comfort level when compared to the other two strategies
