Proportional Derivative – Type Iterative Learning Algorithm for a Motion Control System
In this paper, Iterative Learning Control (ILC) combined with a Proportional Derivative (PD) regulator is proposed to deal with the problem of designing a control signal for motion control systems. The main idea in iterative learning control is to gradually improve the performance of the system by exploiting data from the previous iterations. The learning control algorithm can obtain a better tracking control performance for the next run and hence outperforms conventional control approaches such as Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller and feedforward control. The main area of application for ILC is control of industrial robots and CNC machine tool, printing, and other industrial applications. The learning algorithms can also be used in combination with other control techniques. For example, learning feedforward control is designed in the first iteration. Then iterative learning control is applied to improve performance in the subsequent iterations. In addition, the conventional feedback regulator is designed in combination with iterative control to deal with uncertainty. Simulation results demonstrate the potential benefits, sensitivity and robustness of the proposed method
Design and Application of PLC-based Speed Control for DC Motor Using PID with Identification System and MATLAB Tuner
Industries use numerous drives and actuators, including DC motors. Due to the wide-ranged and adjustable speed, DC motor is widely used in many industries. However, the DC motor is prone to external disturbance and parameter changes, causing its speed to be unstable. Thus, a DC motor requires an appropriate controller design to obtain a fast and stable speed with a small steady-state error. In this study, a controller was designed based on the PID control method, with the controller gains tuned by trial-and-error and MATLAB Tuner with an identification system. The proposed controller design was implemented using PLC OMRON CP1E NA20DRA in the hardware implementation. Each tuning method was repeated five times so that the system performances could be compared and improved. Based on hardware implementation results, the trial-error method gave acceptable results but had steady-state errors. On the other hand, the use of MATLAB Tuner provided fast system responses with no steady-state error but still had oscillations with high overshoot during the transition. Therefore, the PID controller gains acquired from MATLAB Tuner must be tuned finely to get better system responses

Fractional Order Fault Tolerant Control - A Survey
In this paper, a comprehensive review of recent advances and trends regarding Fractional Order Fault Tolerant Control (FOFTC) design is presented. This novel robust control approach has been emerging in the last decade and is still gathering great research efforts mainly because of its promising results and outcomes. The purpose of this study is to provide a useful overview for researchers interested in developing this interesting solution for plants that are subject to faults and disturbances with an obligation for a maintained performance level. Throughout the paper, the various works related to FOFTC in literature are categorized first by considering their research objective between fault detection with diagnosis and fault tolerance with accommodation, and second by considering the nature of the studied plants depending on whether they are modelized by integer order or fractional order models. One of the main drawbacks of these approaches lies in the increase in complexity associated with introducing the fractional operators, their approximation and especially during the stability analysis. A discussion on the main disadvantages and challenges that face this novel fractional order robust control research field is given in conjunction with motivations for its future development. This study provides a simulation example for the application of a FOFTC against actuator faults in a Boeing 747 civil transport aircraft is provided to illustrate the efficiency of such robust control strategies
Population Dynamics on Fractional Tumor System Using Laplace Transform and Stability Analysis
Modeling is an effective way of using mathematical concepts and tools to represent natural systems and phenomena. Fractional calculus is an essential part of modeling a biological system. Recently, many researchers have been interested in modeling real-time problems mathematically and analyzing them. In this paper, the tumor system under fractional order is considered, and it comprises normal cells, tumor cells and effector-immune cells. By taking chemotherapy drugs into account, the toxicity of the drug and concentration of the drug is also studied in the model. The main objective of this work is to establish the solution for the model using Laplace transform and analyze the stability of the model. Laplace transform, a simple and efficient method, is used in solving the system that proves the existence and uniqueness of the solution. The boundedness of the system is also verified using the Lipschitz condition. Further, the system is solved for numerical values, and the population dynamics of cells are provided for different values of as a graphical representation. Also, after analyzing the effect of chemotherapy drugs on tumor cells for different 's, which signifies that = 0.9 provides a sufficient decrease in the dynamics of tumor cells. The main and significant part of this work is presenting that the usage of chemotherapy drugs reduces the number of tumor cells. The importance of the work is that apart from the immune system, chemotherapy drugs play a significant role in destroying tumor cells. The Hyers Ulam stability has a significant application that one need not find the exact solution to when analyzing a Hyers Ulam stable system. Thus, the stability of this tumor model under Caputo fractional order is presented using Hyers-Ulam stability and Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability
Bridging the digital divide: Assessing teacher readiness for technology integration in madrasah ibtidaiyah
The swift evolution of educational technology has revolutionized learning accessibility, presenting unique challenges and opportunities, especially in remote areas. This study probes the technological readiness of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) teachers in these marginalized regions, using a quantitative ex post facto research design. A sample of 112 teachers, randomly selected, provided data via Google Forms and questionnaires, analyzed using two-way ANOVA and cluster analysis in SPSS 23. The research aimed to categorize teachers into five technology readiness profiles: explorers, pioneers, skeptics, paranoids, and slow adopters, based on optimism, innovativeness, discomfort, and insecurity. However, findings revealed only three distinct groups: explorers, pioneers, and slow adopters. Explorers showed high technological confidence but limited innovation engagement, while pioneers, despite readiness, faced challenges like scarce resources and insufficient tech knowledge. Slow adopters, largely older teachers, lagged in embracing new technologies. This lag can be attributed to adverse conditions and inadequate infrastructure, preventing full exploitation of digital tools in education. The study highlights the crucial need to overcome these barriers to enhance technology integration in MI schools, thereby improving educational outcomes in underdeveloped areas
Dynamic Performance Enhancement of a Self-Excited Induction Generator Connected to the Grid Using an Effective Control Algorithm
The current study aims to present a comprehensive analysis of a control technique used for improving the dynamic performance of a grid connected self-excited induction generator (SEIG). All components in the control system are modelled and explained in details. The management of SEIG operation is achieved through controlling the machine side converter using a new formulated predictive voltage control scheme (PVC). The proposed (PVC) is compared to field oriented control (FOC), model predictive current control (MPCC) and model predictive direct torque control (MPDTC) systems. MPDTC and MPCC have several drawbacks like high ripple, high load commutation, and using a weighting factor in their cost function, While FOC systems depend on machine parameters for variable estimation factors, need to use PI regulators and co-ordinate transformations, which complicate the system and slow down the dynamic response. The results obtained indicate that the proposed PVC is effective, as the ripples are reduced by 43% when compared to the MPDTC-used one and by 30% when compared to MPCC. Additionally, PVC's time response is less than that of the FOC by 15%, MPCC by 9%, and MPDTC by 4%. Furthermore, PVC produces 38% fewer commutations than MPCC and 40% fewer commutations than MPDTC. Consequently, the generator's efficiency and dependability both increased as a result of its better performance

Implementation of a new coding scheme for improving the SET operations in Phase Change Memory (PCM)
Among Non-Volatile Memories (NVMs), PCMs are considered the best alternative to DRAM (dynamic random-access memories). As a result of its superior performance and scalability, there are several advantages over DRAM, including lower leakage and energy consumption, higher cell number, and smaller cells. This kind of memory does, however, suffer from a long write latency. In this article, we present a technique to reduce write latency by reducing the number of SET operations. The proposed method is an improved Write Time Speed-up (WTS) code scheme. In the proposed scheme, a new code based on hamming weight is given, and an appropriate algorithm is written to reduce the number of SET operations. Compared with current methods, the proposed scheme decreased SET and RESET operations by 3.9 percent, SET operations by 3.3 percent, and power consumption by 2.6 percent. Visual Basic 6 and GEM 5 simulations are used to simulate the suggested metho
