Analisis Dilema Kebijakan Pemerintah dalam Menaikkan Harga Subsidi Bahan Bakar Minyak di Indonesia pada Tahun 2022
Get PDFThe government officially increased the price of fuel oil as a result of the increase in world oil prices and made the state budget funds swell. This research was conducted with the aim of examining various considerations made by the government when raising fuel prices in Indonesia. This research uses a literature study research method with a qualitative descriptive method. The data sources used are secondary data obtained through journal articles, books, news, and websites. The results of this study found that the government felt a dilemma so that it was forced to increase fuel prices due to the swelling of state budget funds for fuel oil consumption, but on the other hand, the impact if fuel prices increased, the prices of goods and services would increase so that inflation occurred. On the other hand, there is an alternative solution to buy oil from Russia which is below the market price, however, if that happens, it can offend western countries and hurt Indonesia's foreign policy with non-aligned movements. An alternative that the government can take is to increase fuel prices while still providing assistance to ensure that the community does not experience the impact too deeply. In addition the government invite people to switch to using electric vehicles to reduce fuel consumption and reduce the impact of carbon emissions produced, as electric vehicles are considered more economical and environmentally friendl
KORELASI PERSEPSI SISWA TENTANG KEDISIPLINAN GURU DENGAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA
Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) mengetahui tingkat persepsi siswa tentang kedisiplinan guru. (2 ) mengetahui tingkat hasil belajar siswa kelas XI AK mata pelajaran jasa dagang manufaktur. (3) mengetahui ada tidaknya hubungan antara persepsi siswa tentang kedisiplinan guru dengan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian korelasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMK Negeri 1 Depok Sleman Yogyakarta. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI Akuntansi yang berjumah 108 siswa. Skala yang digunakan adalah skala persepsi siswa tentang kedisiplinan guru dengan hasil belajar siswa dengan skor item valid yaitu 48 item dan memiliki indek reliabilitas Alpa Cronbach sebesar 0,804. Skala persepsi siswa tentang kedisiplinan guru dengan hasil belajar siswa disusun berdasarkan aspek kedisiplinan guru dengan indikatorNya adalah : (1) Konsistensi dalam Penerapan Aturan, (2) Tepat Waktu dan Kesiapan Mengajar, (3) Pengaturan Kelas yang Efektif, (4) Komunikasi yang Efektif, (5) Pemberian Umpan Balik yang Konstruktif. Uji korelasi dalam penelitian ini mengunakan Pearson Product Moment yang dibantu menggunakan Program SPSS 23. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa : (1) Terdapat hubungan yang negatif antara persepsi siswa tentang kedisiplinan guru dengan hasil belajar siswa dengan nilai Pearson Product Moment 0,151 dan ρ-value 120 yang artinya masuk dalam kategori sangat lemah. (2) Tingkat persepsi siswa tentang kedisiplinan guru berada pada kategori netral 41%. (3) Tingkat hasil belajar siswa berada pada kategori tinggi 37%
TINGKAT PERILAKU PHUBBING PADA GENERASI Z
Get PDFThis study was conducted with the aim of, (1) describing the level of phubbing behavior in Generation Z by students of the Guidance and Counseling study program at the Sanata Dharma University of Yogyakarta, class of 2021, and (2) proposing activity topics for the Guidance and Counseling study program based on the highest score of the item scores. Descriptive quantitative is the research method in this study. The subjects of this study were students of the Guidance and Counseling study program at the Sanata Dharma University class of 2021, who are included in Generation Z and 103 students became respondents. The level of phubbing behavior in Generation Z reviewed in this study is based on the development of the Generic Scale of Phubbing with aspect nomophobia, interpersonal conflict, self-isolation, and problem acknowledgment. The data collection techniques were carried out directly using a 52-item questionnaire. There are 46 valid items, with a Cronbach Alpha reliability index of 0,899. The result of the study revealed that: (1) there are no students who have very high level of phubbing behavior, 1 student (1%) has a level of phubbing behavior in the high category, 26 students (25,2%) have a level of phubbing behavior in the medium category, 58 students (56,3%) have a level of phubbing behavior in the low category, and 18 students (17,5%) have a level of phubbing behavior in the very low category. The results indicate that the majority of students from 2021 have low levels of phubbing behavior, they have a concern and directed focus on ongoing communication with others, without smartphones as a distraction. (2) Based on the results of the study, several activities are proposed for the Guidance and Counseling study program at Sanata Dharma University in Yogyakarta, including individual counseling and stadium general with topics such as “Phubbing and Social Bonds in Generation Z”, “Phubbing: Understanding the Psychological Aspects behind the Rise of Smartphone Use”, and “Phubbing: Interpersonal Communication Challenges in the Digital Era”
ANIMATED EDUCATIONAL VIDEOS AND EFL LEARNERS’ FOREIGN LANGUAGE ANXIETY
Get PDFAnxiety is known as foreign language anxiety when correlated to the learning of foreign languages. Animated educational videos can serve as excellent instruments for visually facilitating the courses. Although recent studies discussed the benefits of using video in educational activities and other similar subjects, only a few findings focused on the impact on EFL learners’ Foreign Language Anxiety. To provide a thorough description of the occurring phenomenon from the perspective of the research participants, the researchers used a qualitative approach. On the grounds of this, the researchers used convenience sampling as the preferred technique in collecting the sample, particularly comprehensive sampling. The research participants were 12 students of at the English Language Education Study Program (ELESP) of Sanata Dharma University. The data were collected through an online survey using an open-ended questionnaire and an online interview. The findings revealed that there were two results based on this research. First, the use of animated educational videos both increases anxiety and reduces anxiety. Nonetheless, it was also found that the animated educational videos did not boost nor decrease EFL learners' anxiety about foreign languages. Second, the researcher found that topic and video editing were the aspects that influenced the EFL learners
Peran Pemikiran Organisasi Jong Islmaieten Bond Dalam Meningkatkan Semangat Nasionalisme di Kalangan Pelajar

Organisasi Jong Islamieten Bond atau biasa dikenal dengan JIB merupakan organisasi pemuda yang bernafaskan Islam yang muncul pada tahun 1925. Organisasi ini digagas oleh Syamsuridjal yang semula menjadi ketua Jong Java dan kemudian mengundurkan diri karena usulannya ditolak oleh mayoritas anggotanya. Ia kemudian mendirikan Jong Islamieten Bond dengan mengantongi dukungan dari tokoh-tokh intelektual Islam terdahulu yaitu H. Agus Salim, H.O.S. Tjokroaminoto, A.M. Sangaji, dan K.H. Achmad Dahlan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan organisasi Jong Islamieten Bond dalam kancah pergerakan nasional dan hubungannya dengan meningkatkan semangat nasionalisme di kalangan pelajar. Tradisi Mangongkal Holi sebagai Penegasan Identitas Suku Batak
Get PDFThe Toba Batak community resides in various regions of Indonesia, yet they share traditions that unite their identity as Batak people. One such emblem of unity is the Mangongkal Holi tradition. The purpose of this research is to describe the Mangongkal Holi ceremony as an expression to affirm the identity of the Toba Batak people. The method employed to gather data for this study was through literature review. Three essential questions served as instruments in this research. First, what is the significance of the Mangongkal Holi ceremony? Second, how and when is this ceremony conducted? Third, what is the meaning behind this ceremony? The research findings reveal that despite the dispersion of Toba Batak people across different regions, after the passing of their relatives, they bring the ancestral bones to be unified at a place called the Monument. The process of collecting these bones at a monument is referred to as Mangongkal Holi. This ceremony is conducted based on family agreements, considering this tradition as a means of reunion among families. The ceremony holds significance as a gesture of reverence to the ancestors and as a symbol of kinship.AbstrakMasyarakat Batak Toba hidup tersebar di berbagai wilayah Indonesia, namun ada tradisi yang menyatukan identitas mereka sebagai orang Batak. Salah satu tanda kesatuan tersebut adalah tradisi Mangongkal Holi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan upacara Mangongkal Holi sebagai ungkapan untuk menegaskan identitas orang batak. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data-data penelitian ini adalah melalui studi Pustaka. Tiga pertanyaan penting yang menjadi instrumen dalam penelitian ini. Pertama, apa yang dimaksud dengan upacara Mangongkal Holi? Kedua, bagaimana dan kapan upacara ini dilaksanakan? Ketiga, apa makna dari upacara ini? Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun orang Batak Toba tersebar di berbagai daerah, namun setelah meninggal para kerabatnya membawa tulang-tulang leluhur mereka untuk disatukan di tempat yang disebut Tugu. Proses pengumpulan tulang-tulang di sebuah tugu itulah yang disebut sebagai Mangongkal Holi. Upacara ini dilaksanakan sesuai kesepakatan keluarga mengingat tradisi ini sebagai sarana perjumpaan antar keluarga. Upacara ini memiliki makna sebagai upaya penghormatan kepada para leluhur dan tanda kekeluargaan
Konsep Kebebasan Menurut Will Kymlicka
Get PDFThis article talks about Will Kymlicka's concept of freedom. It should be noted that the emergence of Kymlicka's idea of freedom is inseparable from his big theme of "Multiculturalism". Kymlicka defines multiculturalism so that everyone must be treated properly by looking at their rights, because everyone has freedom both individually and in groups that are reflected in culture. For this reason, the most basic thing emphasized by Kymlicka is freedom. What kind of freedom does she offer? Kymlicka divides freedom into liberalism and individual freedom. As well as freedom in the context of culture. Therefore, I see that in reality everyone, be it from ethnicity, race, and so on, has the same rights. Free to express their opinions without any pressure from any party or group. The emergence of this concept was caused by the injustice experienced by Canadian society at that time. The issue raised is how Kymlicka strives for equality in everyone individually, as well as in groups. This means that everyone must receive the same treatment without discriminating between one group and another. Freedom means that there is an attitude of acceptance within each individual. The author will discuss why Will Kymlicka sees freedom as one of the most concerned ideas, in impacting the cultures of each ethnic group, race and so on.Abstrak:Artikel ini berbicara mengenai konsep kebebasan Will Kymlicka. Perlu diketahui bahwa munculnya gagasan kebebasan dari Kymlicka tidak terlepas dari tema besarnya “Multikulturalisme”. Kymlicka mendefinisikan multikulturalisme agar setiap orang harus diperlakuan layak dengan melihat pada hak-haknya, karena setiap orang memiliki kebebasan baik secara individu maupun kelompok yang tercermin dalam kebudayaan. Untuk itu, hal yang paling dasar ditenkankan oleh Kymlicka mengenai keebebasan. Kebebsan seperti apa yang ditawarkan olehnya? Kymlicka membagi kebabesan menjadi, kebebasan liberalisme dan kebebasan individu. Serta kebebasan dalam konteks kebudayaan. Oleh karena itu, saya melihat pada kenyataanya setiap orang baik itu dari suku, etnis, ras, dan sebagainya, mempunyai hak yang sama. Bebas mengungkapkan pendapat tanpa ada tekanan dari pihak atau golongan mana pun. Munculnya konsep ini, disebabkan oleh ketidakadilan yang dialami oleh masyarakat Kanada saat itu. Persoalan yang diangkat adalah bagaimana Kymlicka mengupayakan agar ada kesetaraan dalam diri setiap orang yang secara individu, maupun kelompok. Artinya, setiap orang harus mendapat perlakuan yang sama tanpa membeda-bedakan kelompok yang satu dengan kelompok yang lain. Kebebasan dimaksudkan adanya sikap penerimaan dalam diri setiap individu. Pluralisme Agama Perspektif Raimundo Panikkar: Kontribusinya untuk Keberagaman Agama di Kota Kupang
Get PDFThe plurality of religions and cultures in Kupang City often creates challenges, such as the potential for conflict or misunderstanding between religious and cultural groups. This situation sometimes disrupts the tolerance of religious life in Kupang. In addition, this situation often leads to conflicts between small groups (Muslims) and large groups (Christians). In this context, the pluralist views of Raimundo Panikkar, a prominent theologian and philosopher of religion, provide a unique perspective on understanding religious diversity. Through an analysis of Panikkar’s key concepts, such as “Culture of Religious Encounter,” “Religious Dialogue,” and “Transcendental Unity,” this paper attempts to outline how Panikkar’s thinking can serve as a foundation for understanding interfaith dialogue in Kupang City. The study also presents findings using a literature review method to gain new insights into Panikkar’s contribution to religious diversity in the region. Through this study, it is hoped that an understanding of Panikkar’s view of religious pluralism can serve as a foundation for developing harmony within the rich and precious religious diversity. Abstrak Pluralitas agama dan budaya di Kota Kupang, tidak jarang memunculkan tantangan, seperti potensi konflik atau ketidakpahaman antar kelompok agama dan budaya. Situasi ini terkadang mengganggu toleransi hidup beragama di kota Kupang. Di samping itu juga, situasi ini seringkali memunculkan konflik antara kelompok yang berjumlah sedikit (Muslim) dan kelompok yang berjumlah banyak (Kristen). Dalam konteks ini, pandangan Pluralisme Raimundo Panikkar, seorang teolog dan filsuf agama terkemuka, memberikan perspektif unik dalam memahami keberagaman agama. Melalui analisis konsep-konsep kunci Panikkar, seperti “Budaya Perjumpaan Religius,” “Dialog Agama,” dan “Kesatuan Transendental,” tulisan ini mencoba menguraikan bagaimana pemikiran Panikkar dapat menjadi landasan untuk memahami dialog antaragama di Kota Kupang. Studi ini juga menyajikan temuan dengan menggunakan metode kajian pustaka untuk mendapatkan pandangan yang baru tentang kontribusi Panikkar terhadap keberagaman agama di daerah ini. Can We Call the Speech Acts of Heroes who Bounce Back from Defeat Ultimatives?
Get PDFIn animated films and video games, there is always a scene where the heroes bounce back from defeat and charge the villains with a final strike. I argue that this particular scene has a specific speech act – ultimative. To prove this claim, I employed apostrophe as a dramatic device by Wagener (1931), speech act markers by Zeevat (2003), speech act formula by Pawley (2009), and invocation by Frankfurter (2019) on twenty titles of animated films and video games to indicate the presence of ultimatives. The findings indicate that ultimatives have distinctive traits. Speech act markers of sudden changes of speech and narratives, pathic speech act markers, and speech act markers of invocation construct them. The combination of these three elements constructs the speech act of ultimatives. I also found that ultimatives in animated films and video games have different functions due to different characteristics and features of the media. In animated films, ultimatives function as a narrative marker indicating that ultimatives signify the plot progression and rationalization. In video games, ultimatives function not only as a narrative marker but also as mechanical marker. Functioning as a mechanical marker indicates that ultimatives require the players to perform certain mechanical interactions through button configuration to bounce back from possible game over. Narrative designers of both animated films and video games could employ the results of this study as a consideration in designing dramatic battle scenes that contain apostrophes to evoke narrative engagement from the audiences and gamers
Membaca “Hujan Pertama dari Kampung Kafir” karya Silvester Petara Hurit dengan perspektif cultural studies
Get PDFTulisan ini merupakan usaha membaca karya sastra dengan menggunakan perspektif Cultural Studies. Teks karya sastra yang digunakan sebagai objek peneltian adalah, cerita pendek ‘Hujan Pertama dari Kampung Kafir’. Cerpen ini ditulis oleh Silvester Petara Hurit dan diterbitkan oleh koran Jawa Pos pada 25 Oktober 2020. Cerpen ini akan dibaca dalam konteks sejarah dan sosial, konsep identitas dalam cultural studies dan konteks produksi, distrubusi dan konsumsi. Metode yang digunakan dalam analisis ini adalah kajian tekstual dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil yang ditemukan bahwa cerita pendek “Hujan Pertama dari Kampung Kafir” ditulis berdasarkan tiga konteks sajarah dan dipengaruhi oleh dua kehidupan sosial yang dominan. Implikasi dari tulisan ini, yakni sekiranya usaha pembacaan dengan persepketif cultural studies ini dapat diperoleh sebuah pemahaman yang lengkap tentang isi cerita pendek ini
