xi, 29 p.On 30 September 2025, the Working Group on Health in Climate Change (HIC) of the European Environment and Health Task Force convened virtually for its twelfth meeting. Participants reviewed progress in the WHO European Region in the area of health and climate change and identified priorities for future collaboration under regional and global frameworks. They highlighted the growing maturity of the climate–health agenda across the Region, as shown by increasing levels of national implementation, new evidence and innovative local initiatives. The meeting also underscored the importance of maintaining political commitment and sustained investment to accelerate the transition to climate-resilient and low-carbon health systems. Key priorities identified for the next HIC work cycle include extreme-weather preparedness, integration of health into national climate policies, and strengthened financing and partnerships. The meeting concluded with agreement to enhance peer-to-peer exchange, advocacy and implementation support, and to develop a forward-looking work plan aimed at advancing climate-resilient, low-carbon and equitable health systems throughout the Region
