Insights from interviews with COIL faculty
Get PDF新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大による渡航制限を受け，オンラインを活用した国際教育交流手法であるCOIL(Collaborative Online International Learning)が注目を受け，急激に普及が進んだ。しかしながら，コロナ禍が落ち着き留学や対面での活動が正常化するに伴い，COILに対する関心は薄れ，ポストコロナにおけるCOILの意義が揺るぎはじめている。
本論文では，COIL科目を担当している教員へのインタビュー調査から，各大学でCOILが担っている役割を探り出すことで，ポストコロナ禍におけるCOILの意義を検討した。COILが発展してきた背景である「内なる国際化」と，COILの特徴である専門教育に応用できる柔軟性の2つの観点からCOILが果たす役割を考察した結果，リソースのかからない国際化手段としての役割や専門教育の学びを深める教材としての有用性をポストコロナ禍におけるCOILの新たなテーマとして提示することができた。Due to the widespread transmission of the COVID and ensuing travel restrictions, the utilization of Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) has gained momentum as an alternative means for international education exchange. However, as the pandemic subsides and traditional modes of international education, including on-site activities and study abroad, return to normalcy, the interest in COIL has diminished, prompting a reassessment of its significance in the post-COVID era.
This paper delves into the post-COVID significance of COIL by conducting interviews with instructors who are in charge of COIL courses, aiming to elucidate the diverse roles that COIL plays across various universities. Through an examination of COIL's functions in the broader context of internationalization of higher education and its unique flexibility in specialized education, we present new perspectives as a new theme for COIL in the post-COVID era. Multimode transmission equation using line-integral formulation for taper waveguide
Get PDF管軸が直線のテーパ導波管に対する多モード伝送方程式において，ストークスの定理やガウスの発散定理を基にして，面積分から閉じた積分経路の線積分に変換する方法について詳細に示した．そして，円形テーパ導波管に対して線積分を求め，提案する方法の妥当性を検証した．その際，ベッセル関数の通常の積分公式から実際の問題に必要な形へ変形する方法についても論じている．提案する方法は，内導体あるいは外導体の管壁を任意の曲線とする円形同軸構造の多モードホーンの設計・解析に応用できる．This paper proposes a detailed process for converting an area integral into a closed-path line integral using Stokes' theorem and Gauss's divergence theorem in order to solve the multimode transmission equation for a taper waveguide. As an example, we also calculate the line integral for a circular taper waveguide and validate the proposed theory. Besides, the paper discusses methods for transforming the standard integral formula of Bessel functions into a formula necessary for solving problems in the multimode transmission equation. The approach can easily be applied to a circular coaxial waveguide and a coaxial horn with a spline-profiled structure.原著論文departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF本稿は中級前期以降の学生を対象とした授業の実践報告である。
助詞「は」「が」の違いは難しい。その使い分けは「日本語文法最大の謎」という言葉まである〔坂野信彦(2014,p.3)〕。実際、一本のペンを前に「これはペンだ」と「これがペンだ」の違いを説明するのは難しい。
本稿では、まず日本語が(1)意味レベル、(2)主観レベル、(3)コミュニケーションレベルという三層構造になっていることの確認から始める。結果、「は」「が」の違いも、(1)意味レベルではなく、話者の認識や判断の違いである(2)主観レベルにあることがわかる。これを学生に教えるため、「は」と同様の機能を持ちながら、反対方向に作用する「も」と対比させ、教えた。
主観的な「は」には話者の「心の色」がつき、時に暗示にもなる。したがって、学生には日本語に対する感度を上げることが必要で、本稿ではその授業例も紹介した。
日本語は非常に主観的な言語である。それゆえ、日本語には本来的に「私」を中心とする言語世界が構築されていて、主語「私」がなくても成立する言語、換言すれば、すでに「私」の色がついた言語であるとも言える。
色の違いは白黒テレビではわからない。「は」「が」の違いはカラーテレビで見るように感じなければわからない。その実践として、授業では芭蕉「初時雨 猿も小蓑を 欲しげなり」と、チャゲ& 飛鳥の歌「男と女」を使った。
