No full text平忠度は、平家の武将としてだけではなく、平安末期に名を馳せた歌人でもある。現存する『忠度集』諸本はすべて同一系統であり、いわゆる「寿永百首」のひとつで自撰されたものと推定されている。本作品は、『忠度集』から贈答歌の相手方の歌を除いた百首を、上句札・下句札に記した歌留多である。依拠した伝本はにわかに決しがたいが、特殊な異文を有しており、今後の研究の鍵になるであろう。また、比較的珍しい蛤形の札の例としても注目される。Taira no Tadanori is not only a military commander of the Taira clan, but also a famous poet in the late Heian period. All extant copies of "Tadanorishu" are of the same lineage, and it is presumed to have been one of the so-called "100 Poems of Juei" that was hand-selected by the author. This work consists of 100 Waka poems from the "TadaNori Collection," excluding those by others, written on the upper cards and lower cards. It is difficult to immediately determine which original source it is based on, but it does contain some unique textual differences that may provide clues for future research. Transnational education in Hawaii's Americanization education policy : the Japanese language school issue in the 1920's and the path to study support in Japan by Friend Peace Scholarships
No full text本稿では，排日風潮の強い1920年代のハワイ社会において，アングロ支配層の一部であるキリスト教伝道団体ハワイアン・ボードがフレンド平和奨学金を通じて日系二世の同志社大学への留学を支援した経緯を明らかにし，ハワイのアメリカ化教育政策の一環として行われた越境教育の企画があったことを示すものである。ハワイアン・ボードが理想とする日系二世のリーダー像は日本語学校問題を契機に，クリスチャンでありアメリカに忠誠を誓う者に加えて日米バイカルチュラル・日英バイリンガルな人材養成へと変わり，彼らの育成の場をハワイから日本へと移し，同志社大学が留学先となった。この活動は，ハワイ社会で支配層を維持するための独自の寛容性と戦略が含まれており，国際関係とハワイ社会内の人種問題に連動した教育政策といえるだろう。This paper clarifies how the Hawaiian Evangelical Association (HEA), a Christian missionary organization that was part of the Anglo ruling class, supported the study of second-generation Japanese Americans (Nisei) at Doshisha University in Japan through the Friend Peace Scholarships (FPS) in the 1920s, a time when strong anti-Japanese sentiments were rampant in Hawaii. It shows that this new transnational education project was part of the Americanization education policy in Hawaii. In response to the issued surrounding Japanese language schools, the HEA's vision of an ideal Nisei leader changed from focusing solely on individuals who were Christian and loyal to America to developing those who were also bicultural (Japanese-American) and bilingual (Japanese-English). They moved training grounds from Hawaii to Japan, with Doshisha University as the study destination. This activity included HEA's unique tolerance and strategy to maintain the ruling class in Hawaiian society. Linearly polarized and linear to circular conversion reflectarrays having double omega-shaped resonant strips with mirror image
No full text本論文では、線形および線形-円形偏波変換リフレクトアレー実現のため、ダブルオメガ形状ストリップを用いた新規素子を提案している。広帯域・低交差偏波特性を達成し、Kuバンドで設計を行い，数値検証を行った。また、TE/TM位相差を生み出すように素子寸法を再構成した線形-円形偏波変換器についても、シミュレーションと実験により良好な偏波変換特性が得られることを確認している。This paper introduces novel reflectarray elements based on double omega-shaped strips for broadband, low cross-polarization performance in linear and linear-to-circular polarization conversion applications. A Ku-band linearly polarized array is designed and numerically validated. A separate linear-to-circular converter design utilizes reshaped element dimensions to create a TE/TM phase difference, confirmed through simulations and experiments demonstrating successful polarization conversion.原著論文辻幹男: 同志社大学名誉教授departmental bulletin pape
Analysis on Japanese retrieval tasks regarding knowledge association by language models
No full text近年，文書検索は言語モデルが外部情報を参照するための手段として更に注目されている．本研究では，日本語テキスト埋め込み手法を用いた検索アプローチの有効性を分析した．既存ベンチマークに含まれる検索クエリと文書をモデル知識の有無で分類した．その結果，知識を持たない場合に取得精度が低下した．この分析に基づき，既存手法による文書検索の利点と課題を検討し，実世界の問題との乖離を踏まえた今後の方向性を示す．Retrieval tasks are increasingly recognized as an effective means for language models to reference external information. In this study, we analyze and discuss the effectiveness of a retrieval approach using text embedding methods in a Japanese-language context. We classify the process of embedding queries using sentence embedding generation models into two patterns: one where the generation model possesses knowledge about the query, and one where it does not. Benchmark results obtained for each pattern revealed that retrieval accuracy declines when embedding models lack knowledge about the query. Based on this analysis, we discuss the advantages and disadvantages of existing retrieval approaches, focusing on the qualitative gap between benchmark tasks and real-world problems, and explore potential directions for future development of information retrieval.原著論文departmental bulletin pape
Imagining intimacy with AI : clear expectations and ambiguous anxieties among general users
No full text飛躍的な技術進歩により，AI は単なる組み込み型システムとしてだけでなく，インタラクティブなサービスとして一般利用者と直接接触する機会が増えている。本研究では，AIとの親密な関係の形成可能性に関する人々の想像や期待に着目し，アンケート調査に基づいて，AIとの関係に対するポジティブおよびネガティブなイメージを検討した。自由記述回答に対しては，テキストマイニングと統計解析を組み合わせ，質的・量的の両側面から多層的に分析を行った。その結果，人々がAIに対して抱く明確な期待の構造と混沌とした不安の様相，さらに両者の関係性が明らかとなり，そうした認識の背景にある社会的・心理的要因についても考察を加えた。With the rapid advancement of technology, artificial intelligence (AI) has evolved from embedded systems into interactive services that engage directly with general users. This study explores how people imagine and evaluate the possibility of forming intimate relationships with AI. Based on a large-scale questionnaire survey conducted among general users in Japan, we analyzed both positive and negative images associated with AI relationships. Special attention was paid to open-ended responses, which were examined using a combination of text mining and statistical analysis. This mixed-method approach allowed for a multilayered understanding of users’ attitudes toward AI. The results revealed a clear structure in people’s positive expectations, such as emotional support and everyday utility, while negative perceptions were more ambiguous and fragmented. The contrast between structured hopes and diffuse anxieties suggests that expectations toward AI are socially shared to a greater extent than fears. Furthermore, these findings indicate that the formation of attitudes toward AI intimacy is not based on simple binary oppositions of optimism and concern, but emerges through a complex interplay of social, psychological, and affective factors. This study offers a nuanced understanding of how users negotiate closeness with AI, and provides a foundation for further empirical research on human-AI relationships.論文(Article)departmental bulletin pape
