The 2024 European Parliament Elections and the Rise of Eurosceptic Right/Far-right Forces: A Preliminary Analysis of their Influence and Ideologies
Get PDF2024年欧州議会選挙の結果を、EU 懐疑的右派・極右勢力の躍進の影響という視点から整理した。選挙後の政治会派再編で3 派に分かれた右派・極右勢力は、ウクライナ支援については割れるものの、反グリーンディール、反マイグレーション、反セクシャル・マイノリティ、反ブリュッセルという点ではほぼ一致していること、また3 派合計で25％にも達する議席数が実際にEU政治に影響を与えはじめていることを（親EU グランドコアリションのゆらぎや、右派の支持による第2 次フォンデアライエン委員会議会承認など）、概括的に示した。そのうえで、3 派それぞれの基本文書の粗訳を提示し、共通する政治方針を析出し、欧州文明の重要性、家族主義・伝統主義、国民の意思の絶対性を根拠とした主権主義、EU の巨大国家化という認識、グリーンディールを専制的官僚的介入主義とみなす非難、そして移民の排除のための欧州の要塞化、といった基本線に注意を引き、今後必要となる研究方向を、EU 懐疑的右派・極右勢力の思想面と組織面の二方向から提示した。The paper examines the results of the 2024 European Parliament elections in terms of the riseof right- and far-right forces, namely the ECR, the PfE, and the ESN. Although there aredisagreements regarding pro- or anti-Putin positions, their common political arguments includeopposition to the Green Deal, migration policies, sexual minorities, and Brussels. The fact thatthese groups have secured 25% of the parliamentary seats clearly shows their impact on EUpolitics as a whole. For instance, the pro-EU grand coalition has been weakened, and theparliamentary approval of the second Von der Leyen Commission would have been impossiblewithout the support of an Italian group within the ECR. After examining the influence of therise of right- and far-right forces in the Euro polity, the paper analyzes the foundationaldocuments of the ECR, the PfE, and the ESN, and clarifies their common ideological claims.These include the superiority of continental Europe; the importance of traditional familystructures, national traditions, and the absolute will of the people; sovereigntism; criticism ofthe superstate EU; rejection of the Green Deal as a tyrannical bureaucratic intervention; andthe fortification of the EU to exclude immigration, among others. Investigating Cross-Linguistic Mediation Activities in Higher Education in Japan: A Preliminary Study
Get PDF.The concept of cross-linguistic mediation was introduced as part of the mediation activities in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) (Council of Europe, 2001), and its descriptors have emerged in the CEFR 2018 (Council of Europe, 2018), focusing on real-life language switches to pass on messages to others. Although the CEFR is referred to for the objectives of foreign language education in the Course of Study (COS) for senior high schools in Japan (MEXT, 2018b), mediation is not at all mentioned. This study thus tries to investigate cross-linguistic mediation activities practiced in an educational situation, which is one of the situations of language use (Council of Europe, 2020). Three Japanese university teachers were interviewed in a semi-structured approach and asked whether their students engaged in some cross-linguistic mediation activities in their specialized classes, and if so, what kinds. They were also asked their perspectives on the necessity of those activities. It was revealed that cross-linguistic mediation could be a real-life language activity that many university students need in order to participate in their classes and that all the teachers claimed its importance in academic settings and daily lives. Get PDF.Kudzu (Pueraria montana var. lobata) has long been familiar to the Japanese, and has been a useful plant used for appreciation, food, and medicinal purposes. However, its use has been declining in recent years, and its vigorous reproductive capacity has become a problem in Japan and other countries, where it is used to cover signs, other structures, and trees, as well as to kill trees due to erosion by the kudzu. In the Kajigane area of Yamakoshi, Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, the spread of kudzu is similar. Based on the results of a vegetation survey in the area, this study examined the use of kudzu, a troublesome weed, to produce kudzu-root liqueur, which is also used as an herbal medicine, and measures to establish it as a local brand. Equivalence of market models in economic fields with electromagnetic fields
Get PDF.Profit margins in financial statements are constantly stochastic. That is, it is the result of interaction with the market. Hence, this is because the quality point of capital in the financial statements moves stochastically through space and time. Therefore, capital is constantly changing stochastically. What we propose is that the existing equity and liabilities on the balance sheet are electromagnetic fields when analysed from an electro-magnetic point of view. We also construct a mathematical model to analyze that prices fluctuate due to changes in the balance between supply and demand. Individual economic activities are constrained by the overall subject mass. Therefore, the behaviour of the entire system is considered to be bounded by the Schro¨ dinger’s wave equation in physics. The economic mass excited by the supply and demand information as economic information is considered to correspond to an electric field, the demand to a magnetic field, and the price flow or demand flow to a current. Get PDF.深層学習の技術発展により生まれた大規模言語モデル（LLM）は人間社会を変革する発明であると期待されている。画像処理分野でも様々な人工知能（AI）タスクが高精度で達成されつつある。マルチモーダル AI では画像の輝度値パターン類似性が用いられているが、画像の意味解釈は輝度値パターンだけで簡単に計算できない。今回 MS COCO キャプションデータセットと、LLM のfalcon 7b instruct、および対称差集合の手法を用いて画像キャプション間関係性を定量する問題にアプローチした予備段階的結果について述べる。5000 画像のキャプションに対する MS COCO の 7254 トークンと、それらのキャプションから LLM で連想された 20113 トークンについて画像に関連付け、トークン集合間対称差集合要素数を画像間距離と解釈して分析結果を得た。Falcon 7b instruct（MS COCO）に関して対称差距離の最小値は 69（7）、最大値は 425（95）、共通部分要素数の最大値は 84（22）、最小値は 9（0）、和集合要素数の最小値は 105（21）、最大値は 467（101）であった。.departmental bulletin pape
