Norway's Fishing Industry and its Supporting Institutions: Norwegian Seafood Council (NSC) and Stiftelsen for Industriell og Teknisk Forskning (SINTEF)
Get PDF本稿では、まず、水産大国であるノルウェー王国の経済と水産業を概観した。ノルウェー王国の水産業は、GDP 構成比0.8％、就業人口0.6％と少ないものの、輸出品としては、水産物が2 番目に来ている。次に、ノルウェーの水産業とそれを支援する機関がどのような役割を果たしているのか明らかにした。第一に、ノルウェー水産物審議会（NSC）の主な活動は、マーケティング、市場への情報提供、コミュニケーション、の３つである。そして、NSC は、ノルウェーにおける水産業のマネジメントとしてサステナビリティの３つの柱（社会、経済、環境）を打ち立てている。第二に、ノルウェー産業科学技術研究所（SINTEF）は、先端的R&D 支援を行う研究機関であり、水産業及び養殖業のマネジメント、沿岸域の管理、漁業と養殖管理について、それらの重要性を明らかにしている。また、技術革新と高品質の科学による「ノルウェーモデル」を掲げている。departmental bulletin pape
SYNCHRONIZATION ANALYSIS OF A PRODUCTION PROCESS UTILIZING STOCHASTIC RESONANCE
Get PDFWe report a stochastic resonance phenomenon in production processes. Intervention by outside companies and workers (internal force) is treated as an input noise (stochastic element) to successive processes in the production system. We assume self-similarity in this system. By varying two of the system parameters (external and internal forces), we reveal an optimal combination of the throughput threshold for evaluating the working process and the magnitude of volatility (noise intensity) in a worker's ability. Moreover, because of this optimal combination, a stochastic resonance occurs in this system. The existence of stochastic resonance is confirmed in the actual data of a production flow system. The results of this study can assist the development of market-driven, innovative production companies.journal articl

Get PDF本稿は、福沢諭吉の「独立自尊」と「他者感覚」に対する丸山眞男の継承を研究するための予備考察として、この二つの概念に関する福沢の思考を解明する。20 世紀中頃、日本がアジア諸国に対する侵略戦争を展開した時、丸山眞男が知識人の中の少数な抵抗者として、福沢諭吉の「独立自尊」思想を継承し、それを日本国民の精神革命の重大な課題とした。しかしその時、「他者感覚」の問題を意識しなかった。戦後、丸山はファシズムに対する全面的な歴史的検討によって、「他者感覚」が欠けている場合はファシズムが発生する恐れがあると認識した。後に、現代大衆社会に対する研究を深めていくうちに、さらに「独立自尊」精神を樹立するためにも「他者感覚」を欠いてはならないということに気が付いた。この時に至って、彼は「独立自尊」と「他者感覚」との相関性の思想の源流を、新たに福沢の思想の中から見出した。丸山と福沢との思想の「共働」には深い意味がある。departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF初年次の学生に対し、学習内容に興味をもってもらうために、言語をつかった簡単なゲームを導入した。このゲームの回答数を情報感度と操作的に定義した。この情報感度と、試験結果の関連を分析した結果、情報感度高群は低群と比較し、単位を修得できない割合が少ないことが明らかになり、情報感度は入学時において学習支援が必要な学生を識別する“一つの指標”として有効であると結論づけた。departmental bulletin pape
Practical Implications of Assessment with Young Japanese EFL Learners
Get PDFWith the recent call in Japan for ‘Global Citizens’ and looking toward the 2020 Tokyo Olympics the Japanese Ministry of Education’s MEXT decision to implement English as a core subject for Elementary 5th and 6th graders commencing 2014 in principle may come as no surprise (MEXT, 2014). As a core subject assessment and evaluation of student’s progression will be an inevitable issue with the successful implementation of these classes therefore it may be theorized that readying students for the inevitability of assessment and evaluation prior to implementation of formal evaluation could prove beneficial if MEXT’s long term goals are to realized (Yoshida, 2009, 2011). The present study investigated the concepts of assessment and evaluation with reference to teaching and learning of English for young learners (YL) specifically early elementary school level of 6-8 years olds. An explanation of assessment and its utilization with regard to YL was offered along with a discussion of formative and summative assessment. The inappropriateness of formal evaluation for YL and the benefits of informal ongoing assessment for this age group was examined as well as considerations for future assessment methods for this this learning group offered. The development of an assessment tool for 6-11 year olds was presented as well as results of a pilot test of this instrument (n=23). The tool was easily administered found to be motivational as all students successfully completed the assessments within the allowed time. One weakness of this tool may be the assumption of student’s ability to identify sight words, which in future designs of this tool will be an important issue to address.departmental bulletin pape
ANALYSIS OF PRODUCTION PROCESSES USING A LEAD-TIME FUNCTION
Get PDFManufacturers can minimize production costs by implementing a dynamic production model that follows a log-normal probability distribution of actual rate of return (RoR) data. Production costs are included in the model that includes internal and external factors introduced by external supplier companies (hereafter called suppliers). In this study, we calculated an expected loss value using a lead-time function and a loss function. We analyzed the changes in lead time in this simulation using a continuous expected loss-value calculation. Observing a production business receiving input from external suppliers, we dynamically modeled the specific production equipment procured from the supplier. To demonstrate the loss function, we present actual data from the production of a control device. Furthermore, we present the actual throughput data for a production flow process with high productivity (using a synchronous method) and in the absence of a production flow process (using an asynchronous method). The production efficiency of the synchronous process becomes clear from the actual data. For further verification, we confirmed the benefit of using the synchronization process to attempt to perform dynamic simulation.journal articl

Get PDF本論文では日本の1980 年以降の四半期データを用い，多重共線性の発生を抑制しつつ，Feder-Ram モデルを推定して防衛部門経済の外部効果を実証的に考察した．その結果，冷戦期では防衛部門経済から非防衛部門経済への，そして防衛部門経済から民間部門経済への有意な負の外部効果が存在し，それら弾性値はともにほぼ－ 0.020（年率換算で－ 0.080 程度）であることが明らかにされたが，冷戦期では有意な外部効果は確認されなかった．また，三部門モデルの推定結果から日本は両期間において防衛支出拡大は経済成長率を引き下げることも明らかにされた．departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF西欧植民地主義勢力は周辺国の植民地化がコスト高だと判断した場合、その主権国家化を支援した。ただし、そのような国家形成は、植民地化された国と同様にその周辺国の国家と社会との亀裂を内在化させた。タイの国家形成史はまさにこのケースに当てはまる。タイは、19世紀中期から20世紀初頭まで、英仏がバンコク王朝の宗主権を侵食しつつビルマ、マレー、インドシナを植民地化し、他方でバンコク王朝はその結果、領域主権国家としての境界を画定していった。その結果、タイ国家はとくにイギリスの支援を受けながら主権国家としての国家機構を構築した。この過程で他の政治勢力に対して圧倒的な力をもつ国家エリートがバンコクを中心に構築される一方で、地方エリート勢力は解体され、また地方エリートと民衆の関係が解体していった。さらに、1930年代から40年代にかけて、新興の国家官僚層は、英仏植民地主義体制が不安定化すると、南進政策をとる日本に接近し、領域主権国家としての強化を試みた。departmental bulletin pape

Inexperienced versus experienced mothers' and preschool teachers' strategies for providing persuasive messages to young children
Get PDFThis chapter compares the message strategies of parents and preschool teachers for persuading young children and reveals the effect of parenting and teaching experience on strategies adopted. The authors asked 454 mothers and 181 preschool teachers to select one of two framed messages to enhance children’s self-regulation ability. The results showed that, compared with no difference in message selection between inexperienced mothers and inexperienced preschool teachers, the strategy of experienced teachers shifted to a more positively-framed approach, whereas that of experienced mothers shifted to a more negatively-framed approach. The contrasting results in message strategy that changed with the parenting/teaching experience support the self-regulatory theory, in which caregivers develop children’s self-regulation ability through regulatory focus messages.
