Accounting education, in which traditional methods prevail, lagged behind today’s technological developments and could not catch up with the level of development of the industry. In this context, in studies conducted in various countries, findings regarding the need to revise the accounting education cur- riculum in a way that keeps up with the level of technology development have been identified. Considering the generational conflict between the educators and the students, who are the recipients of the message to be conveyed in the education system, the learning habits of the new generation constitute the basis of the generational conflict. Because while the students of the new ge- neration were growing together with technology, the educators of this period were brought up with much less exposure to the technological environment. However, it would not be correct to talk about the full technological compe- tence of existing schools. In addition to all these, considering that education is not only in the school environment, but also continues in the home environ- ment after school, it can be said that the homework to be given to the students is similarly far from technological platforms. This study has been prepared for the students of accounting education to evaluate a software that can provide interactive feedback to students after the lesson and allows classical question solution in accounting education. The questionnaire prepared for this purpo- se was applied to students who received accounting education in vocational schools of Hatay Mustafa Kemal University and Osmaniye Korkut Ata Uni- versity. As a result of the study, the software in question was evaluated by the students and its contributions to the post-lesson question solutions were determined
Diagnostic delay in psoriatic arthritis: insights from a nationwide multicenter study
This study aimed to investigate the duration of diagnostic delay in patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and identify potential contributing factors using a comprehensive, population-based approach. Data were obtained from the Turkish League Against Rheumatism (TLAR)-Network, involving patients who met the CASPAR criteria. Diagnostic delay was defined as time interval from symptom onset to PsA diagnosis, categorized as ≤ 2 years and > 2 years. Temporal trends were assessed by grouping patients based on the year of diagnosis. Various factors including demographics, clinical characteristics, disease activity, quality of life, physical function, disability, fatigue, and well-being were examined. Logistic regression models were used to identify factors associated with diagnostic delay. Among 1,134 PsA patients, mean diagnostic delay was 35.1 months (median: 12). Approximately 39.15% were diagnosed within 3 months, and 67.02% were diagnosed within 24 months. Patients experiencing longer delays had higher scores in Psoriatic Arthritis Quality of Life Questionnaire (PsAQoL), Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy-Fatigue (FACIT-Fatigue), Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Disease Activity Index (BASDAI), patient’s global assessment (PtGA) and physician’s global assessment (PhGA). Diagnostic delay has decreased over time, with median delay falling from 60 to 24 months throughout pre-2010 and 2015–2019 terms. Several factors were identified as significant contributors to delayed diagnosis, including lower levels of education (OR = 2.63), arthritis symptoms preceding skin manifestations (OR = 1.72), low back pain at first visit (OR = 1.60), symptom onset age (OR = 0.96), and psoriasis subtype (OR = 0.25). Timely diagnosis of PsA is crucial for effective management and improved outcomes. Despite recent improvements, about one-third of PsA patients still experience delays exceeding 2 years. By identifying influential factors such as education level, arthritis symptoms preceding skin manifestations, initial visit symptoms, age of symptom onset, and psoriasis subtype, healthcare practitioners may create specific techniques to help in early detection and intervention
The Influence of Social Control and Feelings of Guilt in a Religious Context on Consumer Boycotts
This article aims to investigate the impact of religious social control and guilt on the boycott against companies accused of supporting Israel in Turkey. By considering the influence of religion on social control and feelings of guilt, we explore how religious social control and guilt affect consumer boycotts, as well as the mediating role of religious guilt in the relationship between religious social control and consumer boycotts. A total of 200 valid questionnaires were collected from Turkish consumers who self-identified as religious and participated in boycotting relevant companies. Correlation, regression, and bootstrap analyses were performed using SPSS and AMOS to assess the relationships between variables. Empirical findings based on participants’ responses reveal that both religious social control and guilt significantly impact consumer boycotts. Consumer boycotts can profoundly affect a company’s profitability. Previous research on consumer boycotts has not examined the impact of self-enhancement factors, such as social control and guilt, on consumer boycotts. This study explores the effects of religious social control and guilt on consumer boycotts, as well as the mediating effect of religious guilt

On the impact of natural resources on environmental sustainability in African countries: A comparative approach based on the EKC and LCC hypotheses
Natural resources have historically been considered as fuel for enhancing economic development and raising the economic welfare of individuals in African countries. However, significant concerns have been growing on the environmental impacts of natural resource utilization since the second half of the 20th century. The main goal of this study is to investigate the impact of aggregated and disaggregated natural resource rents on ecological sustainability from 1992 to 2020 in African countries by using panel data methods. Empirical evidence shows that (i) the Environmental Kuznets Curve hypothesis is valid, while the Load Capacity Curve Hypothesis is invalid, (ii) total natural resource rent, oil rent, forest rent, and energy use decrease environmental quality, (iii) impact of population density on environmental sustainability varies on the utilized theoretical framework. In this regard, decision-makers of African countries may consider harmonizing the welfare and environmental impacts of natural resources
