IoT for Agricultural Innovation: Enhancing Robusta Coffee Seedling Growth in Controlled Environments with Intelligent Air Quality Control System (IAQCS)
Get PDFAdvancements in Internet of Things (IoT) technology have revolutionized agriculture by enabling real-time monitoring and automated environmental control to optimize crop growth. This study focuses on evaluating the impact of IoT implementation on greenhouse environmental stability and the growth of Robusta Coffee Clone BP 308 seedlings, emphasizing plant height and leaf count as key parameters. The IoT system incorporates DHT11/DHT22 sensors for temperature and humidity monitoring, soil pH sensors, and an ESP8266 WiFi module for data transmission to an IoT platform. Additionally, Fuzzy Logic algorithms were employed to analyze the data and regulate environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity automatically. The experimental design compared IoT-based systems with conventional methods in a controlled greenhouse environment. Results demonstrated that the IoT system significantly enhanced environmental stability, maintaining an average temperature of 26.59°C and humidity of 86.46%, compared to conventional systems with greater fluctuations of 28.43°C and 82.69%. This stability positively impacted seedling growth, with IoT-treated plants achieving significantly higher heights and leaf counts at weeks 3, 6, and 9. By week 9, IoT-treated seedlings averaged a height of 24.00 cm with 11.73 leaves, outperforming non-IoT seedlings, which reached only 14.07 cm with 8.27 leaves. These findings highlight IoT's potential to create optimal growth conditions, reduce environmental stress, and enhance photosynthetic efficiency. Furthermore, IoT's precision in managing resources supports sustainable agriculture, making it an essential tool for improving productivity and competitiveness, especially in coffee cultivation, a key commodity in Indonesia
Improving objectivity in assessing community empowerment grant proposals
Get PDFCommunity empowerment grants is one of many initiatives by the Malaysian government to foster social change, economic development and environmental sustainability at the grassroots' level. Annually, the government through its many ministries offer such grants to non-governmental organisations (NGOs) for community program implementations with a predefined aim, scope and target beneficiaries. Analysis of relevant documents, in-depth interviews and focus group discussions involving representatives of Jabatan Pendaftaran Pertubuhan Malaysia (JPPM) and local NGOs is the qualitative method used to enhance the evaluation of community program grant proposals, particularly with the aim to ensure objectivity, fairness and transparency. In this paper, preliminary studies for developing scoring rubric to address the above issue, drawing from extensive review of current practices and responses received from both the government and the NGOs. The assessment is designed around dimensions of community empowerment deliverables, measurable outcomes, implementation capacity, risk management, and program sustainability, each with their own set of indicators. Additionally, this paper also explored the challenges and potential for the application of the scoring rubric for different type of grants, projects or users. In conclusion, by providing a clear and consistent tool to evaluation community program proposals, it is believed that the decision-making and evaluation processes for public-funded community programs, and subsequently the positive impact of such initiatives by the government can be further improved

Get PDFKuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) periode 15 Januari 2024 hingga 1 Maret 2024 di Desa Dauh Puri Kaja menyoroti sosialisasi penggunaan platform Instagram sebagai alat membranding Program Kerja Gotong Royong. Dalam melaksanakan program ini, mahasiswa KKN bekerja sama dengan pemerintah desa dan masyarakat setempat untuk merencanakan, mengorganisir, dan melaksanakan berbagai kegiatan gotong royong. Penggunaan Instagram dianggap sebagai sarana efektif untuk membranding program tersebut, dengan harapan pesan-pesan terkait gotong royong dan kegiatan yang dilakukan dapat tersebar luas kepada masyarakat, termasuk generasi muda yang aktif menggunakan media sosial. Dalam pelaksanaannya, metode kegiatan didasarkan pada pendekatan partisipatif dan kolaboratif antara mahasiswa KKN, pemerintah desa, dan masyarakat setempat, dengan fokus pada rapat koordinasi, pendataan dan analisis masalah, pembagian tugas, pelaksanaan kegiatan, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Melalui pelaporan hasil kegiatan, didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan Instagram secara efektif dapat meningkatkan kesadaran, interaksi, dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan gotong royong, dengan potensi untuk terus dikembangkan dan ditingkatkan melalui rencana keberlanjutan yang melibatkan pelatihan, kemitraan, pengembangan program komunikasi, serta pemantauan dan evaluasi rutin.Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) periode 15 Januari 2024 hingga 1 Maret 2024 di Desa Dauh Puri Kaja menyoroti Sosialisasi penggunaan platform Instagram sebagai alat membranding Program Kerja Gotong Royong. No full textPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi pemasaran yang tepat pada produk benih cabe rawit di CV. Permata Agri Nusantara. Melihat dari kondisi lingkungan eksternal perusahaan yang sebagian besar tidak dapat dikendalikan dan tidak pasti mengharuskan penyusunan strategi yang tepat di dalam memasarkan produk. Lokasi penelitian beralamat kecamatan Jenggawah, kabupaten Jember. Dengan pertimbangan bahwa kabupaten Jember merupakan pusat pembenihan nasional yang dibuktikan dengan banyaknya jumlah produsen benih hortikultura dan pangan. Tingkat kesuburan tanah dan sumber daya manusia yang tersedia menjadikan kabupaten Jember lokasi yang mudah untuk memproduksi benih tanaman dengan kualitas yang baik. Hal tersebut sejalan dengan banyaknya kompetitor yang menjadi pesaing yang dapat menggerus produsen benih lainnya jika bisnis yang dijalankan tidak didukung dengan strategi yang baik pula. Berdasarkan Hasil Matriks Internal External (IE) dapat diketahui bahwa pada sumbu X memiliki total skor IFE sebesar 3,15 dan pada sumbu Y memiliki total skor EFE sebesar 3,27, sehingga apabila kedua titik dihubungkan maka diperoleh posisi usaha benih cabai rawit berada pada sel I, yaitu tumbuh dan membangun (growth and build) dengan strategi yang dapat digunakan adalah penetrasi pasar, pengembangan produk dan pengembangan pasar. Sedangkan strategi matriks SWOT dengan menggunakan analisis QSPM didapatkan hasil nilai TAS sebesar 6,84
The Students’ Perspectives of Small Group Discussion for Enhancing Their Speaking Abilities
Get PDFThis study aimed to explore students' perspectives on small group discussions in the context of teaching and learning speaking skills. A descriptive qualitative research approach was employed, involving 26 participants enrolled in the Basic English course during their first semester in the Horticulture Plantation Study Program at Politeknik Negeri Jember. Data collection utilized questionnaires, specifically a Google Form poll with multiple-choice question types, and interview questions. The questionnaires and interviews sought to understand the participants' perceptions of the effectiveness of small group discussions in developing their speaking abilities. The findings of the study revealed positive aspects of students' perceptions regarding small group discussions and their impact on enhancing speaking skills. The majority of participants expressed that engaging in small group discussions significantly contributed to their speaking development. Moreover, the research identified a correlation between students who demonstrated a keen interest in refining their speaking abilities and the benefits derived from participating in small group conversations. The results underscored that student perceived small group discussions as instrumental in their speaking skill development, highlighting the motivational aspect of these interactions. Additionally, the lecturer played a pivotal role in aiding students in overcoming obstacles encountered during the learning process
Pelaksanaan Penganalisisan Data Rekam Medis Elektronik (Studi Perancangan Sistem Informasi Analisis Kuantitatif)
No full textTelogorejo Hospital has implemented an electronic medical record (EMR) system. However, the documentation of EMRs remains incomplete, and completeness analysis is still conducted manually. This necessitates a quality improvement program within the digital transformation process to ensure complete EMR documentation. This study aims to investigate the implementation of EMR data analysis based on PMK 24 of 2022, as well as the design and evaluation of an information system for quantitative analysis of medical records. The research methodology employs a mixed-methods approach, combining Research and Development and descriptive research. The study was conducted in the medical record department from July to December 2023. Data collection methods include interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The system development utilizes the waterfall model, while testing employs the black box method and the TAM method for user acceptance evaluation. The findings indicate that the quality improvement program adheres to PMK 24 of 2022. However, doctors continue to use uncertified signatures for authentication, and mandatory settings for EMRs are absent. Application testing demonstrates successful operation, and TAM evaluation reveals that users strongly agree with the quantitative analysis application (90.5%). Recommendations include implementing certified electronic signatures and mandatory settings for EMR forms to optimize EMR completeness.Masalah klasik dalam rekam medis adalah ketidaklengkapan rekam medis. Transformasi digitalisasi perlu adanya program menjaga mutu supaya pendokumentasian rekam medis elektronik lengkap. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan penganalisisan data rekam medis elektronik (RME) berdasarkan PMK 24 Tahun 2022 dan perancangan sistem informasi penganalisisan kuantitatif rekam medis. Jenis penelitian Research and Development di bagian rekam medis RS Telogorejo bulan juli-desember 2023. Pengumpulan data dengan cara wawancara, observasi dan kuesioner. Pengembangan sistem menggunakan metode waterfall model dan metode TAM untuk pengujiannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan program penjagaan mutu terlaksana sesuai PMK 24 Tahun 2022. Autentikasi dokter menggunakan tanda tangan tidak tersertifikasi. Belum adanya setting mandatory pada isian RME. Pengujian TAM menunjukkan tingkat penerimaan 90,5%. Perlu menambahkan jenis formulir pada aplikasi analisis kuantitatif, penggunaan tandatangan elektronik tersertifikasi dan setting mandatory formulir RME untuk optimalisasi kelengkapan RME
Determinants of Firm Value: Empirical Evidence from The Primary Consumer Goods Sector Companies
Get PDFInvestor decisions to invest in a company are partially influenced by the company's value. Investors are increasingly attracted to companies that can generate sustainable profits, ultimately enhancing the company's value. This study aims to analyze the influence of intellectual capital, profitability, leverage, and asset turnover on company value, using a sample of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the primary consumer products sector between 2017 and 2021. Using purposive sampling, 61 companies were selected as samples. With observations over 5 years, a total of 305 data observations were obtained. Multiple linear regression analysis was applied to secondary data sourced from the financial accounts of the selected organizations. The correlational relationship between the dependent variable and the regressors was determined by analyzing the data obtained using SPSS tools. The study results indicate that intellectual capital does not affect company value, profitability, and asset turnover positively affect company value, but leverage negatively affects company value. The positive impact of profitability and asset turnover indicates that an increase in these factors will enhance the company's value. Conversely, the negative impact of leverage suggests that an increase in leverage will decrease the company's value

Therefore, it is necessary to have other alternatives to reduce dependence on the use of wheat flour. One of them is the utilization of coconut pulp waste which is processed into flour and then processed into pancakes with nutritional value and good quality. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the addition of coconut pulp flour on the physical, chemical and organoleptic characteristics of pancakes and determine the best formulation in making pancakes. This study used a Randomized Group Design consisting of 5 treatments (0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%). The results showed that coconut pulp flour gave a significantly different effect on fiber content, texture, specific volume, color a, color b and hedonic test as evidenced by further tests using the Duncan test at the 1% level. While the water content, ash content and color L test showed no significant difference

Get PDFPregnancy anemia is a global public health issue and this condition contributes to morbidity and mortality rates among women. 42% of pregnant women worldwide experience anemia. In Jember, East Java, the coverage of pregnant women receiving iron supplement tablets is 88.6% of the total pregnant womens. A health knowledge questionnaire given to respondents in the Sumbersari and Kaliwates areas revealed that most respondents' knowledge about pregnancy anemia is still low. A community service activity on "The Use of Animated Videos as an Educational Medium to Prevent Pregnancy Anemia" has shown that this community service activity can improve the knowledge and attitudes of mothers. Most mothers were very enthusiastic about participating in the counseling activities using animated video media because the material presented was relevant to their needs

Sudah sepatutnya pengelola museum melakukan introspeksi diri dan mulai memperbaiki diri guna menambah angka kunjungan masyarakat ke museum. Salah satu langkah yang dapat ditempuh adalah dengan meningkatkan penyajian koleksi museum agar lebih informatif dan menarik. Suatu deskripsi detil yang melekat pada koleksi pusaka akan mempermudah pengunjung memahami identitas pusaka yang dipamerkan. Sebagai solusi permasalahan tersebut, Tim Pengabdian English for Vocational Purposes, Prodi D-3 Bahasa Inggris, Sekolah Vokasi, Universitas Sebelas Maret melakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan bagi staf MKN sehingga mampu menghasilkan storyline dan caption koleksi masterpiece museum sesuai standar internasional dan memperbaruinya secara berkala. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dikemas dalam dua tahap, yakni tahap pelatihan dan pendampingan, membawa hasil yang positif dan dirasakan manfaatnya oleh MKN. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat berhasil membekali staf MKN dengan keterampilan memproduksi caption koleksi masterpiece yang berstandar internasional.ABSTRAK
