    The Analytical Study of Kaanda Twak of Vata (Ficus Benghalensis Linn.) In Shadrutu Vis - À -Vis Dravyasangraha Kala

    Background: Ayurveda an ancient science, addresses all aspects of life by emphasizing both disease treatment and illness prevention through medicinal plants. Each plant part contains active principles at peak concentrations during specific seasons, with classical texts like Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita and Rajanigantu providing guidelines for their collection. In the 21st century, modern techniques allow us to access the potency of crude drugs, making it essential to collect plant materials during the season that ensures optimal potency. Aim and objectives:  Total pharmacognostic, phytochemical study of Vata (Ficus benghalensis Linn.) bark in each Rutu and compare the values in different Rutu. Materials and methods: An analytical study of bark of Vata (Ficus benghalensis Linn.) collected in six different Rutus was carried out. The bark was collected in six different Rutus and were subjected to pharmacognostic and physicochemical analysis. The aqueous and alcoholic extracts were prepared and the individual extracts were subjected to quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results were compared in between the samples and with the standard. Results: The present analytical study of both Vata (Ficus benghalensis Linn.) carried on 6 different Rutus revealed that the number of phyto-constituents and extractive values varies significantly across the 6 different Rutus and maximum during Shishira Rutu. Conclusion: The results suggest that there is significant difference in quantity of phytoconstituents of Vata bark in each Rutu

    Effect of Agnikarma in the management of Gridhrasi with special reference to Sciatica: A Case Study

    Introduction: Gridhrasi is one among the Vataja Nanatmaja Vyadhis. Nantmaja Vyadhi is caused by a single Dosha, or a powerful Dosha that can cause a disease on its own. Gridhrasi is characterized by pain that radiating to Sphik, Kati, Prishta, Ooru, Janu, Jangha and Pada. This feature of Gridhrasi closely resembles with the clinical aspects of Sciatica. Ayurvedic management involves the procedures like Sira Vyadha, Bastikarma and Agnikarma. Agnikarma is a cost effective, easy to practice, less complicated, quick relief treatment that does not require hospitalization. Aim and Objectives: The aim of the study was to evaluate the effect of Agnikarma in the management of Gridhrasi with special reference to Sciatica. Materials and Methods: It is a single case study of a 23-year-old boy who was already diagnosed with sciatica in the last 1 year. He approached to Ayurvedic hospital and was treated with Agnikarma. Results: Symptomatic assessment of the patient was done after one month and satisfactory result was there. There was very much improvement of the quality of life of the patient. Conclusion: The management of Gridhrasi with the help of Agnikarma has a significant effect in reducing the symptoms

Ayurveda is science of management of disease via medicinal herbal and mineral drugs along with prevention of lifestyle disease through adequate Diet. In various Samhita, Ahara Dravya is classified into many subdivisions in which Kudhanya (Trin Dhanya) is a group of small seeded cereals used as human food since ages. Kudhanya Varga is compared with Nurti-cereals as Millets. Method: Kudhanya description has been collected from Samhita and Nighantu along with their synonyms, properties, and action in various Lifestyle disorders. Result: Kudhanya Varga possess Madhur-Kashaya Rasa, Katu Vipaka, Ushna Virya and are Kapha Shamaka and Vata-Pitta Prakopaka. Due to its Bruhaniya property it is useful in malnutrition, on contrary due to its Laghu, Ruksha Guna, Vilekhana Karma which can be used in obesity. Conclusion: Thus, it is high need fighting with nutritional deficiency to convert our nutritional value of Kudhanya (Millets) as supplements and disease combating agents

Alcohol abuse or excessive alcoholism known as Madatyaya in Ayurveda, it not only harms the health of individual but also impacts social and economic wellbeing of family. Madatyaya is categorized as a lifestyle disorder or addictive disorder, its prevalence increases globally due to the modern pattern of life style. Madatyaya affects Hridaya, Rasavaha srotas, Manovaha srotas and Oja, etc. Ayurvedic treatment approach for managing Madatyaya. The treatment involves a combination of physical, mental, and spiritual therapies to help individuals overcome addiction and achieve overall well-being. Objective: The objective is to explore the pharmacological properties of the individual components of Sarva Madahar Leha Yoga and evaluate their collective impact on Madatyaya. Method: Various databases, including Google Scholar, PubMed and Ayurvedic journals, were searched using relevant keywords. Studies reporting on the antimicrobial activity, hepatoprotective activity, antifungal activity, and immunomodulatory activity of the individual components of Sarva Madahar Leha Yoga were included. Ayurvedic Samhita and Nighantu with commentaries are used for relevant content.     A comparative clinical study to evaluate the efficacy of Amalakyavaleha and Devdali Churna in Pandu Roga w.s.r. to Iron Deficiency Anemia in Children

    Background: Pandu Roga is a condition characterizes by skin discoloration resembling Haridra or a greenish tinge, along with symptoms such as Hridayaspandanam, Roukshyam, Swedabhava, Shrama and related complications. It reflects various underlying conditions caused by a deficiency in Rakta Dhatu, such as reduced hemoglobin or RBCs. Iron Deficiency Anemia (IDA), a prevalent nutritional disorder globally, affects over 40% of children, especially in developing nations like India. IDA impairs cognitive and physical development, immunity, and overall health. While iron supplements are commonly used, their side effects often limit adherence, highlighting the need for safer, holistic treatments. Aim and Objectives: To evaluate, compare the efficacy and clinical safety of Amalakyavaleha and Devdali Churna drugs in children. Materials and Methods: A randomized, comparative clinical trial was conducted on 40 pediatric patients for 4 weeks diagnosed with IDA. The patients were divided into two groups: Group I received Amalakyavaleha, while Group II was treated with Devdali Churna. The clinical efficacy of both interventions was assessed based on subjective and objective criteria, symptomatic relief, and overall improvement in nutritional status. Results: The study revealed that both groups significantly improved clinical symptoms and hematological markers. The comparative analysis demonstrated the potential of Amalakyavaleha in addressing the underlying causes of Pandu Roga and effectively managing IDA. Conclusion: This study seeks to provide evidence for using safe and effective Ayurvedic alternatives in addressing anemia in children, offering a holistic approach that goes beyond symptom management to target the root cause

    Digital Therapeutics in the Management of Opioid Use Disorder: A Systematic Review of Emerging Technologies and Clinical Outcomes

    Opioid use disorder (OUD) poses a major global health burden, with limited access to traditional treatment in many regions. Digital therapeutics (DTx) offer, noble tools to support treatment, enhance accessibility, and improve outcomes. The objective of the study is to systematically review the current evidence on the effectiveness, implementation, and outcomes of DTx in the management of OUD. A thorough literature was searched using PubMed, Science direct, Google scholar et cetera, from 2015 to 2024, which included randomize control trials (RCTs), systemic reviews, and real-world studies evaluating digital interventions (apps, telehealth, AI based tools, wearable for OUD. A total of 28 studies met the inclusion criteria. digital interventions demonstrated improved treatment, retention, opioid abstinence, and patient engagement. Tools such as reset-O, telehealth, CBT based mobile apps and AI driven systems showed efficacy in both clinical and real-world settings. Barriers included digital, illiteracy, privacy, concerns, and Limited regulatory frameworks, especially in low- and middle-income countries. Digital therapeutics present a promising adjunct or alternative to conventional OUD treatment.
