Competitiveness Analysis of Smallholder Oil Palm Farming in Rimbo Ilir District, Tebo Regency
This study examines the competitiveness of smallholder oil palm plantations in Rimbo Ilir District, Tebo Regency, and evaluates how government policies affect their performance. Using the Policy Analysis Matrix (PAM), this study analyzes comparative and competitive advantages, the impact of policies on inputs and outputs, and the sensitivity of these policies. Conducted in Sari Mulya, Sumber Agung, and Karang Dadi Villages during April–May 2025, this study found that smallholder oil palm plantations in the region have strong competitiveness, reflected in PCR (0.28) and DRCR (0.5458) values below 1. Policy indicators indicate that government interventions do not fully protect tradable inputs (NPCI > 1) and act as a disincentive to output (NPCO < 1), while overall input–output policies remain ineffective (EPC < 1). Sensitivity tests indicate that despite an increase in input prices (12%–25%) or a 10% decrease in output prices, oil palm plantations maintain their competitive and comparative advantages. In conclusion, smallholder oil palm plantations in Rimbo Ilir Regency remain highly competitive and worthy of further development
GIS-Based Analysis of Vegetation Density and Green Open Space Utilization at UNTAG Samarinda
The Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 (UNTAG) Samarinda is one of the educational institutions located in urban areas with high development pressure. The existence of green open spaces in the campus environment plays an important role in maintaining ecological balance, thermal comfort, and air quality for the academic community. This study aims to evaluate the level of vegetation density and proportion of green open space utilization in the UNTAG Samarinda campus area using the Geographic Information System (GIS) approach. Spatial data was obtained from high-resolution satellite imagery in 2024 and field interpretation results that included tree vegetation, shrubs, and non-green areas (buildings and roads). Data processing is carried out through the stages of geometric correction, land cover classification, and vegetation index analysis (NDVI). The results of the analysis showed that of the total land area ±2.98 hectares, around 32.6% is a vegetation area with a medium-high density level, while the rest is in the form of buildings, parking areas, and road access. These findings show the need for a more optimal Green Open Space management strategy through increasing vertical vegetation and greening in the open areas of the campus. GIS integration has proven to be effective in providing accurate spatial information to support sustainable campus planning and support UNTAG Samarinda's "Green Campus" vision
Human Trafficking in The Digital Era Through The 4Sale App in Kuwait
This study examines how digital technology functions as an infrastructure of exploitation within the context of human trafficking, focusing on the 4Sale app in Kuwait. Initially designed as a digital marketplace for buying and selling goods, the platform has been misused to facilitate the trade of domestic workers and migrant labourers, reflecting how the commodification of human labour extends into the digital sphere. The central research question explores what factors enable digital platforms to become mediums for human trafficking and how such mechanisms are normalized within everyday online transactions. Drawing on the framework of the digital political economy, this research argues that these exploitative practices stem from the logic of digital capitalism, which prioritizes efficiency, data circulation, and profit maximization over ethical and humanitarian considerations. The study employs a qualitative approach using case analysis and secondary data from credible sources such as BBC Arabic, Europol, and the European Center for Democracy and Human Rights (ECDHR). The findings reveal that digital human trafficking is sustained by interrelated factors including technological architectures that accelerate transactions while concealing identities, structural ties between platforms and global markets that commodify human ;abour, and weak legal as well as social accountability of technology companies. Ultimately, the study concludes that digital technology operates not as a neutral tool but as a political–economic arena that amplifies the possibilities of human exploitation in the globalized era, urging stronger regulatory and ethical frameworks to govern digital platforms
Implementation of A* (A Star) Pathfinding Algorithm in 3D Isometric Projection Game “Survival Horror: Rabies Outbreak”
Rabies remains a lethal zoonotic disease, claiming over 60,000 lives annually. Despite medical advancements, inadequate treatment and lack of awareness contribute to persistently high mortality rates. To enhance public education and engagement in rabies prevention, this study develops an educational game, “Survival Horror: Rabies Outbreak.” The game integrates a 3D isometric survival horror experience with real-world information on rabies transmission, prevention, and emergency responses. Players assume the role of a police officer delivering anti-rabies vaccines to infected residents while evading aggressive rabid animals. The game employs the A* (A Star) Pathfinding algorithm to enhance enemy AI, allowing dynamic and optimized pursuit behavior, thereby increasing realism and challenge. Beta testing with 10 respondents demonstrated that 60% of users rated the game positively, confirming its effectiveness as both an educational tool and an engaging survival-horror experience. The integration of AI-driven pathfinding with gamified learning provides a novel approach to public health education, offering an immersive method for raising awareness and fostering initiative-taking rabies prevention measures

Similarly, Tax Avoidance, measured with effective tax rate (ETR), affects enterprise value, where t-value > t-table (3.901 > 1.674) with a significance of 0.000 > 0.05, so it is deduced that Tax Avoidance has a positive significant influence on enterprise value
Evaluation of HRM Strategies to Enhance Nurse Performance at RSU Muhammadiyah Cirebon
This study aims to evaluate human resource (HR) management strategies in enhancing nurse performance at the Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon General Hospital (RSU UMC). A qualitative research approach was employed, utilizing case study and phenomenological methods through in-depth interviews, observations, documentation reviews, and questionnaires. The findings reveal that HR strategies such as selective recruitment, continuous training, and performance evaluation have been implemented and have shown a positive impact on nursing competence and service delivery. However, several challenges remain that hinder the full effectiveness of these strategies. These include high workload pressures, training content that is not entirely relevant to daily practice, performance evaluations that focus mainly on quantitative measures, and an incentive system perceived as inequitable. Furthermore, poor interprofessional communication and uneven distribution of tasks further reduce job satisfaction and motivation among nurses, ultimately affecting the quality of patient care. These limitations indicate that the current HR strategy needs to be improved and made more responsive to the real needs faced in the field. Based on the results, this study recommends the development of a more integrated HR strategy that emphasizes needs-based and adaptive training, a comprehensive and balanced performance evaluation framework, and a fair reward system that values service quality over quantity. Such improvements are essential to foster a supportive and motivating work environment, leading to increased nurse performance, higher job satisfaction, and improved patient satisfaction. This research contributes valuable insights for hospital management in designing effective HR strategies in healthcare settings
