    Este trabajo ofrece un análisis de la pervivencia de la figura prototípica de la ‘amada inadecuada’ en tres series televisivas españolas de enorme éxito en el nuevo milenio (Ana y los 7, Aquí no hay quien viva y Allí abajo). El punto de partida es la estructura dramática de la comedia plautina, materializada con frecuencia en la fórmula ‘chico se enamora de chica… inadecuada’, y el análisis concluye con la confirmación, también en este punto, de la existencia de una tradición cómica que arranca al menos de Plauto y reaparece, consciente o inconscientemente, en diversos formatos y con las inevitables adaptaciones propias de cada época, en distintos momentos del devenir del género cómico en la cultura occidental.This paper analyses the survival of the prototypical figure of the 'inappropriate lover' in three highly successful Spanish television series of the new millennium (Ana y los 7, Aqui no hay quien viva and Alli abajo). The starting point is the dramatic structure of Plautine comedy, often embodied in the formula 'boy falls in love with an... inappropriate girl', and the analysis concludes with confirmation, also at this point, of the existence of a comic tradition that dates back at least to Plautus and reappears, consciously or unconsciously, in various formats and with the inevitable adaptations of each era, at different moments in the development of the comic genre in Western culture.230,121Q2AHCI10,9ERIH PLU

    Development of a novel low-cost adsorbent Chitosan@EDTA@Cellulose composite to effectively remove Methyl Orange dye from wastewater: experimental and theoretical investigation

    Methyl Orange, a toxic and persistent azo dye, poses significant environmental challenges in aquatic ecosystems. This study investigates the efficiency of a novel Chitosan@EDTA@Cellulose composite, synthesized by linking shrimp-derived chitosan and cactus-derived cellulose using EDTA as a linking agent. Comprehensive characterization techniques, including Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area analysis, were employed. Under optimal conditions (pH 5, 50 mg/L dye concentration, 55 min, 0.1 g adsorbent), the composite achieved a maximum adsorption capacity of 55.87 mg/g, significantly outperforming chitosan (7.29 mg/g) and cellulose (5.69 mg/g). Adsorption followed the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and the Langmuir isotherm model, with thermodynamic analysis confirming a spontaneous and endothermic process. Competitive adsorption tests demonstrated >90 % removal efficiency despite the presence of interfering ions, attributed to the chelating properties of EDTA and the synergistic effect of the composite structure. Reusability tests showed a slight efficiency decline from 97.8 % to 81.86 % after four cycles. Box-Behnken Design optimization identified adsorbent mass, pH, and dye concentration as key factors in removal efficiency. Density Functional Theory analysis clarified the functional group interactions driving adsorption.     Este proyecto se centra en la implementación de un modelo de lenguaje preentrenado (LLM) ajustado mediante Fine-Tuning. Para ello, se desarrolló una herramienta de scraping que extrae datos relevantes de diversas fuentes web, creando un corpus específico para el proyecto. Se realizó el Fine-Tuning de dos LLMs, Qwen2 1.5B y Mistral 7b, adaptándolos para tareas concretas. Además, se diseñó una herramienta de test para evaluar el rendimiento de los modelos ajustados, comparando sus respuestas con las correctas. Los resultados muestran mejoras en el desempeño tras el ajuste, evidenciando el impacto del Fine-Tuning en la personalización de los LLMs para tareas específicas.This project focuses on fine-tuning a pre-trained language model (LLM). A scraping tool was developed to extract relevant data from various web sources, creating a task-specific corpus. Fine-Tuning was performed on two LLMs, Qwen2 1.5B and Mistral 7b, adapting them for specific tasks. Additionally, a testing tool was created to evaluate the performance of the finetuned models by comparing their responses to correct answers. The results show performance improvements after fine-tuning, highlighting the impact of this technique in customizing LLMs for specific tasks

    Preliminary studies of new heat-treated titanium alloys for use in medical equipment

    Titanium alloys are essential in the biomedical field due to their exceptional corrosion resistance, mechanical strength and biocompatibility, making them ideal for producing safe medical implants and devices. Novel heat treatment techniques have been developed to optimize the microstructure, mechanical, corrosion and surface characteristics of alloys in biological environments, thereby reducing internal stresses and improving passive layer formation, thus prolonging implant service life. The analyzed samples were stress relieved titaniummolybdenum alloys (Ti-15Mo) with Si additions of 0%, 0.5%, 0.75% and 1.0%. Microstructure, microhardness and corrosion behavior were studied to evaluate the potential of these alloys for use in the human body, with a particular focus on medical devices where durability, hardness and corrosion resistance are critical factors. The addition of molybdenum as a beta-phase stabilizer enhanced the formation of the advantageous lamellar microstructure of alpha + beta phases for mechanical performance. The corrosion behavior was examined in simulated body fluid (Ringer's solution) and the higher silicon content contributed to the formation of a thicker and protective passive layer, which substantially reduced the corrosion rate. The microhardness of silicon-enriched alloys under various stress conditions was higher than that of commercially pure titanium (CpTi), demonstrating their capability for better performance in biomedical applications.131130,7943,398Q1Q

    Cross-species and mammal-to-mammal transmission of clade 2.3.4.4b highly pathogenic avian influenza A/H5N1 with PB2 adaptations

    Highly pathogenic H5N1 avian influenza viruses (HPAIV) belonging to lineage 2.3.4.4b emerged in Chile in December 2022, leading to mass mortality events in wild birds, poultry, and marine mammals and one human case. We detected HPAIV in 7,33% (714/9745) of cases between December 2022-April 2023 and sequenced 177 H5N1 virus genomes from poultry, marine mammals, a human, and wild birds spanning >3800 km of Chilean coastline. Chilean viruses were closely related to Peru's H5N1 outbreak, consistent with north-to-south spread down the Pacific coastline. One human virus and nine marine mammal viruses in Chile had the rare PB2 D701N mammalian-adaptation mutation and clustered phylogenetically despite being sampled 5 weeks and hundreds of kilometers apart. These viruses shared additional genetic signatures, including another mammalian PB2 adaptation (Q591K, n = 6), synonymous mutations, and minor variants. Several mutations were detected months later in sealions in the Atlantic coast, indicating that the pinniped outbreaks on the west and east coasts of South America are genetically linked. These data support sustained mammal-to-mammal transmission of HPAIV in marine mammals over thousands of kilometers of Chile's Pacific coastline, which subsequently continued through the Atlantic coastline.154,88714,7Q1Q1SCIE10,
