    Uji Fitokimia dan Penentuan Nilai Sun Protection Factor (SPF) Ekstrak Etanol Daun Waru (Hibiscus tiliaceus)

    Waru leaves (Hibiscus tiliaceus) is one part of the plant that contains many secondary metabolites. One of them which have photoprotector properties that can absorbs UV rays and antioxidant properties. This study aims to determine the value of sun protection factor (SPF) using extracts ethanol. Waru leaves are extracted using 96% ethanol solvent which is then concentrated using a rotary evaporator at 40°C to evaporate the ethanol solvent. The ethanol extract contains alkaloids, tannins, flavonoids, saponins, and terpenoids. The activity of the ethanol extract of waru leaves was measured for its absorbance using a UV-Vis instrument. The highest SPF value is found in the ultra protective concentration of 1000 ppm with an SPF value of 42,29. The SPF value of the ethanol extract produced at absorbances of 200 ppm, 400 ppm, 600 ppm, 800 ppm, and 1000 ppm respectively were 4,09; 8,17; 12,48; 17,31; dan 42,29. The ethanol extract of waru leaves can protect as a sunscreen in the concentration range 200 ppm to 1000 ppm.Daun waru (Hibiscus tiliaceus) merupakan salah satu bagian tanaman yang banyak mengandung metabolit sekunder. Salah satunya yang memiliki sifat fotoprotektor yang dapat menyerap sinar UV dan sifat antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai sun protection factor (SPF) menggunakan ekstrak etanol. Daun waru diekstraksi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96% yang kemudian dipekatkan menggunakan rotary evaporator pada suhu 40°C untuk menguapkan pelarut etanol. Ekstrak etanol mengandung alkaloid, tanin, flavonoid, saponin, dan terpenoid. Aktivitas ekstrak etanol daun waru diukur absorbansinya menggunakan alat UV-Vis. Nilai SPF tertinggi terdapat pada konsentrasi ultraprotektif 1000 ppm dengan nilai SPF 42,29. Nilai SPF ekstrak etanol yang dihasilkan pada absorbansi 200 ppm, 400 ppm, 600 ppm, 800 ppm, dan 1000 ppm berturut-turut adalah 4,09; 8,17; 12,48; 17,31; dan 42,29.     Isotherm models of Cu (II) adsorption in Kolong Bangka’s water onto NaOH-deacetylated shrimp shells waste chitin was studied. The extraction of chitin was carried out through three steps: deproteinization, demineralization and decolorization. The deacetylated shrimp shells waste chitin (DA-SW chitin) were prepared by the reaction of DA-SW chitin with NaOH at varying concentrations of 20, 40 and 60% (%W) with stirring for 1 hour at room suhue where the degree of deacetylation for varying NaOH concentrations were 65.72, 67.44 and 88.98%, respectively based on our previous research. Increasing the NaOH concentration causes the diffusion rate of OH- increase thus realizing the effectiveness of OH- attack on the carbonyl carbon group in chitin acetamide increasing so that the chitin deacetylation process becomes more effective. In order to study adsorbent equilibrium behaviour, Freundlich and Langmuir isotherm models were used based on Cu (II) adsorption data with variations in contact time 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 minutes. The results showed that the concentration of Cu (II) decreased with the increase of the degree of deacetylation and contact time. The optimum condition for the percentage of Cu (II) adsorption was achieved in DA-SW chitin with NaOH 60% (where the degree of deacetylation was 88.98%) during 30 minutes was 97.19%. The Cu (II) adsorption isotherm model in Kolong Bangka water onto DA-SW chitin is represented by the Freundlich isotherm model where the Cu (II) adsorption mechanism onto DA-SW chitin causes the formation of multilayer surface which may due to Van der Waals force.Isotherm models of Cu (II) adsorption in Kolong Bangka’s water onto NaOH-deacetylated shrimp shells waste chitin was studied.     Association of Sea Urchins (Diadema setosum) in Coral Reef Ecosystems in the Waters of Panjang Island, Central Bangka

    Sea urchins are the one of key species in coral reef ecosystems. This research aims to analyze the density of sea urchins, analyze the relationship of with coral reef ecosystems. The research was conducted in June 2023 at Panjang Island waters. The Benthos Belt Transect method was used to collect sea urchin data and Underwater Photo Transect to coral reefs. The research results showed that the density of sea urchins was 7.457 individuals/ha in the Panjang Island water. The highest density of sea urchins was at station 3 with observations of 11.429 individuals/m2. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) showed that sea urchins correlated with Lifecoral and Aquatic Physics-Chemical parameters which were divided into 4 groups. The relationship between sea urchins and coral reef ecosystems shows that the density of sea urchins in a coral reef ecosystem can determine the health condition of the coral reefs in that ecosystemBulu babi merupakan salah satu spesies kunci dalam ekosistem terumbu karang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kepadatan bulu babi, menganalisis hubungannya dengan ekosistem terumbu karang. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Juni 2023 di perairan Pulau Panjang. Metode Transek Sabuk Benthos digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data bulu babi dan Transek Foto Bawah Air terhadap terumbu karang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kepadatan bulu babi sebesar 7.457 individu/ha di perairan Pulau Panjang. Kepadatan bulu babi tertinggi terdapat pada stasiun 3 dengan pengamatan sebesar 11.429 individu/m2. Analisis Komponen Utama (PCA) menunjukkan bahwa bulu babi berkorelasi dengan parameter Lifecoral dan Fisika-Kimia Perairan yang dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok. Keterkaitan bulu babi dengan ekosistem terumbu karang menunjukkan bahwa kepadatan bulu babi pada suatu ekosistem terumbu karang dapat menentukan kondisi kesehatan terumbu karang pada ekosistem tersebut

    Sungai Bumang merupakan salah satu sungai yang ada di Kabupaten Bangka. Sungai Bumang banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sekitar untuk melakukan berbagai macam aktivitas yang dapat menyebabkan terjadi perubahan kualitas air yang akan menurunkan daya guna, produktifitas, daya dukung serta daya tampung dari sumberdaya air. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis parameter lingkungan dari Sungai Bumang dan menentukan kesuburan perairan dari Sungai Bumang. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada bulan Mei – Juli 2023 di Sungai Bumang. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 3 stasiun di Sungai Bumang. Analisis kesuburan perairan menggunakan metode TSI dan TLI. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa hasil parameter fisika, kimia dan biologi perairan Sungai Bumang dalam kondisi yang ideal untuk pertumbuhan organisme perairan. Hasil perhitungan dengan metode TSI pada pada pengambilan data bulan Mei termasuk kedalam mesotrofik, pada bulan Juni termasuk mesotrofik dan oligotrofik serta pada bulan Juli termasuk kategori mesotrofik. Hasil dengan metode TLI didapatkan hasil pada bulan Mei termasuk mesotrof, pada bulan Juni termasuk mesotrof dan oligotrof, dan pada bulan Juli termasuk mesotrof. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kondisi kesuburan perairan di Sungai Bumang dapat dikategorikan mesotrofik-oligotrofik.The Bumang River is one of the rivers in Bangka Regency. The Bumang River is widely used by local communities to carry out various activities, which can cause changes in water quality which will reduce the usability, productivity, carrying capacity and capacity of water resources. Therefore, this research was conducted to analyze the environmental parameters of the Bumang River and determine the fertility of the waters of the Bumang River. Data collection was carried out in May – July 2023 in the Bumang River. This researchwas conducted at three stations on the Bumang River. Trophic state analysis uses the TSI and TLI methods. The research results show that the physical, chemical and biological parameters of the Bumang River waters are in ideal conditions for the growth of aquatic organisms. The calculation results using the TSI method when collecting data in May are included in the mesotrophic category, in June it is included in the mesotrophic and oligotrophic categories and in July it is included in the mesotrophic categories. The results obtained using the TLI method were in May including mesotrop, in June including mesotrop and oligotrop, and in July including mesotrop. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the trophic state conditions of the waters in the Bumang River can be categorized as mesotrophic-oligotrophic. &nbsp

    Indonesia is the country with the largest muslim population in the world, so it is a domestic market for halal products. The Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector is the driving agent of the halal value chain. UD Sofia Cookies is one of the MSMEs in Surabaya that produces various pastries or cookies. UD Sofia Cookies already has a PIRT distribution permit and is currently making efforts to register halal certification. One of the criteria for the halal assurance system (SJH) from LPPOM MUI is the traceability system. Traceability is an aspect needed to ensure the halalness of halal product materials starting from the purchase of raw materials, production processes, to logistics and product distribution. Traceability can increase consumer confidence as well as a requirement for food safety, health, and authenticity of food products. UD Sofia cookies have not implemented a halal traceability system, so they require socialization and assistance in implementing a halal traceability system. The results of socialization and assistance show that UD Sofia Cookies employees have been able to implement a halal traceability system. So that UD Sofia Cookies can proceed to the next stage to register a halal certificate.Indonesia merupakan negara dengan penduduk beragama islam terbesar di dunia, sehingga menjadi pasar domestik untuk produk halal. Sektor Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) menjadi agen penggerak halal value chain. UD Sofia Cookies merupakan salah satu UMKM di Surabaya yang memproduksi aneka kue kering atau cookies. UD Sofia Cookies sudah memiliki izin edar PIRT dan saat ini sedang melakukan upaya untuk mendaftarkan sertifikasi halal. Salah satu kriteria sistem jaminan halal (SJH) dari LPPOM MUI yaitu sistem kemampuan telusur (traceability). Traceability merupakan aspek yang diperlukan untuk memastikan kehalalan bahan produk halal mulai dari pembelian bahan baku, proses produksi, hingga logistik dan distribusi produk. Traceability dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan konsumen serta sebagai persyaratan keamanan pangan, kesehatan, dan keaslian produk pangan. UD Sofia cookies belum menerapkan sistem kemampuan telusur (traceability) halal, sehingga memerlukan sosialisasi dan pendampingan dalam penerapan sistem kemampuan telusur (traceability) halal. Hasil sosialisasi dan pendampingan menunjukkan bahwa karyawan UD Sofia Cookies telah mampu menerapkan sistem kemampuan telusur (traceability) halal. Sehingga UD Sofia Cookies dapat melanjutkan ketahap selanjutnya untuk mendaftarkan sertifikat halal.&nbsp

    Kelurahan Lubuk Kelik is one of the new sub-districts which is the result of the expansion of Kelurahan Parit Padang in Province of Kepulauan Bangka Belitung, the majority of which is a post-tin mining area and conservation forest area. The issue of waste is the main environmental problem faced. Along the Lubuk Kelik road, which stretches for 12 km, there are at least 10-15 illegal waste dumping points located along the road in the oil palm plantation area and residents' land. The Various efforts to educate awareness of waste management was done but that does not cause environmental problems, including throwing rubbish in its place or making recycled crafts using plastic waste. The low direct impact felt sometimes makes this education less effective, especially as handicraft products based on recycled plastic waste are less popular with the market due to the lack of innovation and creativity. The training to empower PKK and housewives through the application of hydroponic technology using plastic bottle waste is expected to be an alternative solution to the household scale plastic bottle waste problem in the Kelurahan Lubuk Kelik. This activity is an effort to handle plastic bottle waste through a recycling use method based on community empowerment, especially housewives in terms of meeting their daily need for vegetables. This was chosen because vegetables are a basic need for society and are now quite expensive. Apart from that, hydroponic technology is more efficient than conventional vegetable plantations because it does not depend on soil fertility and land area and is free of pesticides. Apart from fulfilling daily needs, it is hoped that the community will be able to develop vegetables into superior commodities as additional income for the community.English &nbsp

    Dewasa ini tak hanya orang dengan  usia dewasa namun juga anak-anak sering dihadapkan dengan hukum (anak yang berhadapan dengan hukum atau ABH). Salah satu alasannya adalah anak masih memiliki aspek psikologis yang labil dan belum matang, sehingga belum bisa memikirkan dengan baik dampak yang akan mengiringi perilaku buruk yang dia lakukan. Menurut Undang-Undang Nomor 35 Tahun 2014 tentang Perubahan atas Undang-Undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2002 tentang Perlindungan Anak (UU Perlindungan Anak) menyebutkan bahwa anak adalah seseorang yang belum berusia 18 (delapan belas) tahun termasuk anak yang masih dalam kandungan. Peningkatan jumlah kasus ABH yang kian meningkat setiap harinya. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ABH memerlukan perlindungan khusus. Perlindungan hukum baik yang diamanatkan oleh konstitusi dan peraturan perundang-undangan yang salah satu instrument pengaturannya adalah UU SPPA. Tujuan diadakannya peradilan pidana anak tidak hanya mengutamakan penjatuhan pidana saja, tetapi juga perlindungan bagi masa depan anak dari aspek psikologis dengan memberikan pengayoman, bimbingan dan pendidikan. Nowadays, not only adults but also children are often faced with the law (children who are in conflict with the law or ABH). One of the reasons is that children still have psychological aspects that are unstable and immature, so they cannot think properly about the impact that will accompany the bad behavior they are doing. According to Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection (Child Protection Law) states that a child is someone who is not yet 18 (eighteen) years old, including children who are still in the womb. The number of ABH cases is increasing every day. This shows that ABH requires special protection. Legal protection, both mandated by the constitution and laws and regulations, one of the regulatory instruments is the SPPA Law. The purpose of holding juvenile justice is not only prioritizing criminal punishment, but also protecting the child's future from a psychologic aspect by providing protection, guidance and education

    Abstrak: The aim of this research is to analyze the application of a humanitarian project-based learning model to improve social skills, improve creative thinking skills of children at the Aisyiyah Pangkal Pinang Orphanage obtained from UBB Humanitarian Project activities. This activity aims to increase feelings of empathy and sympathy for fellow humans by sharing knowledge and experiences and helping children who need it more. Activities were carried out at the Aisyiyah Pangkal Pinang Orphanage for approximately 4 months, namely from July-October 2023. There were various activities that were carried out, such as: sharing with others, teaching children in the orphanage orally, in writing and in practice. Activities to help clean the orphanage environment are carried out by working together with the orphanage children. After holding all these activities, it is hoped that relationships between each other will become stronger, and the children in this environment will become more qualified in every aspect, both knowledge and behavior

    The uniaxial compressive strength test was carried out to determine the value of rock strength. This research was conducted on sandstones in the Pamaluan Formation. The tests carried out in this study were physical properties tests, compressive strength tests and grain size tests on sandstones with a total of 30 samples on the physical properties test, 10 samples on the mechanical test and 500 gram grain size test at each point, the purpose of which is to determine the effect of porosity on the compressive strength of rock. In testing the physical properties carried out, the lowest and highest porosity values ​​were 17.27 and 22.91%. The results of the compressive strength test with the lowest and highest values ​​were 3.05 and 7.63 MPa. The grain size test results at points 1 and 2 are the same, namely fine sandstones with a percentage of 45 and 44%. From the results of research that has been done the value of porosity and grain size is very influential on the compressive strength test

    STUDY THERMAL OF COMPRESSOR POWER REDUCTION ON USING SOLID DRY PAD PRE-AIR COOLING SYSTEM

    AbstractThe uses of compressor based air conditioning system has rapidly increased the consumption of fossil fuel energy resources and the degradation of environment quality. Massive study has been done worldwide to reduce energy consumption for compressor based air conditioning (AC) system. This study is subjected to investigate the use of solid dry pad as pre-air cooling for AC system. In this study, solid dry pad would be placed in the evaporator and condenser inlet air side. This placement was objected to give a pre-cooling effect for evaporator and condenser inlet air, so then the compressor could be operated with a lower power consumption. The experiment would be carried out within three level air mass flowrate of 0.293 kg/s; 0.319 kg/s; and 0.359 kg/s, for air velocity of 2.2; 2.4; and 2.7 m/s respectively, the cooling cabin is set into 30oC using a heater as a cooling load. As a results, it could be revealed that at the highest air mass flowrate of 0.359 kg/s, it could achieved the lowest compressor power consumption of 0.44 kW, within a higher cooling capacity of 2.625 kW, a higher condenser heat rejection of 3.622 kW and also higher COP of 5.9. Referring to those results, it can be concluded that when employing solid dry pad pre-air cooling for evaporator and condenser AC system, it could reduced compressor power consumption by 12.2%; 21.9% and 20% for air velocity of 2.2; 2.4; and 2.7 m/s respectively.Keywords : solid dry pad, pre-air cooling, compressor power reduction
