This study developed an image classification model to help learn the recognition of aircraft types using the Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN) method, one of the techniques in artificial neural networks that is often used for image classification. PNN works by classifying categories based on the calculation of the distance between the concentration and probability functions. In the process, PNN consists of four main stages: Input Layer, Pattern Layer, Summation Layer, and Output Layer. This study used 90 test data from three different object classes taken from the available data sets. The test results show that the application of the PNN algorithm in aircraft image classification provides an average accuracy of 81.11 %, which is quite promising to be applied as a learning module for the introduction of aircraft types for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering students at the Batam State Polytechnic. The results of this study show that the PNN method has great potential to help automatic classification and can be optimized to improve the accuracy of classification in further learning

    Get PDF
In the fast pace of digitalization, student admission information system websites face the challenge of providing responsive and quality services to applicants. One emerging solution is the use of chatbots, which enable automated interaction with customers. Technology continues to transform over time.  At SMK Insan Teknologi (InTek), the service process is still manual, such as physical archives for student registration, incomplete information, and the absence of an official website. To improve administration and data access, a web-based information system is offered. While the Chatbot helps in interactive services and time efficiency to answer registrants\u27 questions, NLP is used to make the conversation in the chat more natural and easy to understand by registrants. The results of testing the system show that the system functions properly in responding to messages sent through the chatbot on the website both from the message text according to the intent, as well as abstract text and not according to the pattern with an accuracy rate of 87,5%. It is hoped that this research can improve the quality of service and administrative efficiency at SMK Insan Teknologi and can be applied in other educational institutions.

ANALYSIS OF THE EFFECT OF CARBON TAX ON FOSSIL FUELS AND RENEWABLE ENERGY IN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES IN THE PERIOD 1996 "“ 2022

    Get PDF
This study aims to analyze the impact of carbon tax implementation on fossil fuel consumption and renewable energy development in European countries over the period 1996-2022. The increasing use of fossil fuels has become a global issue as their carbon emissions trigger climate change and other negative impacts. As a solution, renewable energy is seen as a cleaner and more environmentally friendly alternative. A carbon tax is implemented as one policy to encourage the transition to renewable energy by imposing a surcharge on fossil fuels based on the amount of carbon emissions produced. This study uses panel data to measure the effect of carbon tax on fossil fuel consumption and renewable energy use in European countries in the period 1996 - 2022. The results of the analysis show that the implementation of carbon tax has no significant effect on fossil fuel use but can increase the use of renewable energy in the sample countries. The findings provide important insights for Indonesian policymakers in designing carbon tax policies to support a more sustainable energy transformation

Mangrove ecotourism has an important role in maintaining the balance of coastal ecosystems. Mangroves have various important benefits, such as in mitigating climate change with their ability to absorb carbon and protect coastal areas from abrasion. To improve tourism development, the Geographic Information System\u27s ecotourism suitability analysis has become an important instrument. The purpose of this study is to explore mangrove types and the value of the Tourism Suitability Index. A Geographic Information System (GIS) and Tourism Suitability Index (TSI) approach was used to analyze parameter data, including mangrove density, species richness, mangrove thickness, tides and association biota. Results show that the dominant mangrove species are Xylocarpus granatum, Rhizopora mucronata, Rhizopora apiculata, and Bruguiera parviflora, with densities varying from 4 m²/ind to 23 m²/ind. Mangrove thickness varied from <50 to >500 meters, and biota association varied from 1 to 4 groups. The average tides vary in height, providing an important hydrological context. The land suitability analysis showed great mangrove ecotourism potential in Kemboja Village, with 2,532.20 hectares classified as highly suitable (46.07%) and 2,961.86 hectares classified as suitable (53.89%) for sustainable tourism development. Unsuitable areas cover 1.61 hectares (<1%)
