Analysis of Product Quality, Promotion, and Price Factors in Forming Consumer Purchasing Decisions
Product quality is crucial in retaining customers, so it is often interpreted as anything that satisfies consumers or meets their requirements and needs. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of product quality, promotion, and price on consumer purchasing decisions at the Dian Shop in Tanjung Redeb. The number of population visits in this study is estimated from the average number of customer visits per day, which is 90 people, resulting in approximately 2,700 customers per month. The respondent sampling technique was employed using the accidental sampling method, which is based on chance. The number of samples was determined using the Slovin formula, based on the assumption of an average of 90 customer visits per day. The study sample consisted of 96 consumers who shopped at the Dian Shop. This research method uses multiple linear regression analysis, and the data analysis tool used is SPSS 26. The findings indicate that product quality, promotion, and price have a significant influence on consumer purchasing decisions, both simultaneously and partially. Thus, the research hypothesis is accepted. These findings underscore the importance of these three elements in shaping consumer purchasing behavior within a retail environment
The Influence of Financial Literacy, Religiosity, and Financial Technology on the Financial Behavior of Generation Z in Medan City
The research intended to examine the influence of financial literacy, fintech, and religiosity on Islamic financial behavior. The phenomenon underlying this research is the low level of public awareness, particularly among the younger generation, regarding financial management based on Sharia principles, despite the increasing trend in the use of Islamic financial products. A quantitative survey method was applied in this research, where data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to respondents and subsequently analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS support. The results show that financial literacy, religiosity, and financial technology positively and significantly affect Islamic financial behavior. Among these variables, religiosity has the most dominant influence in encouraging Sharia-compliant financial behavior. The finding suggests that an increased degree of religiosity enhances the likelihood of practicing financial activities in accordance with Islamic teachings. These findings imply that enhancing both religiosity and financial literacy can serve as effective strategies for fostering better Islamic financial behavior within society
How Hearding Behaviour and Financial Literacy affect Young People\u27s Investment Decisions
This research aims to analyze the influence of herding behavior and financial literacy on investment decisions. Investment decisions are the main key for someone to achieve their goal, namely maximizing profits. The decisions taken should be in accordance with the risk that will be accepted and the level of return. When novice voters start an investment, other people\u27s opinions are often taken into consideration when making decisions, which is known as herding behavior. And when choosing an investment, we need to learn about financial literacy to avoid fraudulent investments. A questionnaire was given to 77 respondents as part of the quantitative research methodology. There will be four tests used to evaluate the results: the validity test, reliability test, t test, and f test. The test\u27s findings showed that financial knowledge and herding tendency both significantly influenced investing choices. According to the findings, financial knowledge and herding tendency significantly influence investment choices.
 
The Influence of Product Quality and Promotion on Repurchase Intent, with Customer Satisfaction as the Mediating Variable: (A Study on Kemejaberkah.2nd Online Shop Consumers)
This study investigates the role of customer satisfaction as an intervening variable in analyzing the impact of product quality and marketing on repurchase intention among customers of Kemejaberkah.2nd online shop. A quantitative research method with a descriptive approach was employed. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to 115 individuals who had made at least three repeat purchases in 2023. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results revealed that both product quality and promotion have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction and repurchase intention. Moreover, customer satisfaction mediates the relationship between product quality and promotion with repurchase intention. These findings highlight the importance of developing strategies that improve product quality and marketing effectiveness to sustain customer satisfaction. By applying the right approach, businesses can enhance customer satisfaction and drive repeat purchases
Workshop Pengenalan K3 untuk Pelajar SMK Negeri 1 Bintan Utara
Dedication to the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) has an important urgency in ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for prospective workers. The main objective of this programme is to increase safety awareness, knowledge, and practice of OHS at the work site to reduce the risk of work-related accidents and diseases. This service programme also aims to provide workshops for prospective workers to identify, evaluate, and control OHS risks that exist in the future work environment. Education and implementation of appropriate OHS policies were used as the method of approach and are expected to create a stronger and more sustainable workplace safety culture. The results of this implementation coverage obtained an average increase of 26.3% in the Very Good category and 10.5% in the Good category. The level of awareness and OHS knowledge among workers is improved, along with the quality of the work and living environment, and the accident and injury rate is reduced. This service is expected to increase compliance with applicable OHS regulations and OHS videos, and reduce the negative impact of work accidents on worker productivity and welfare.Program Pengabdian mengenai pelaksanaan Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja (K3) memiliki urgensi penting dalam memastikan lingkungan kerja yang aman dan sehat bagi pelajar, terutama pelajar di SMK Negeri 1 Bintan Utara. Tujuan utama program ini adalah meningkatkan kesadaran (Safety Awareness), pengetahuan, dan praktik K3 di lokasi kerja guna mengurangi risiko kecelakaan dan penyakit terkait dengan pekerjaan. Program pengabdian ini juga bertujuan untuk menyediakan workshop kepada pelajar agar dapat mengidentifikasi, mengevaluasi, dan mengendalikan risiko K3 yang terdapat di lingkungan kerja. Edukasi dan implementasi kebijakan K3 yang tepat digunakan sebagai metode pendekatan dan mampu menciptakan budaya keselamatan di lokasi kerja yang lebih kuat serta berkelanjutan. Hasil cakupan implementasi ini memperoleh peningkatan rata-rata sebanyak 26.3% dengan kategori Sangat Baik dan 10.5% dengan kategori Baik. Tingkat pengetahuan kesadaran dan K3 antar pelajar lebih meningkat, disertai dengan kualitas lingkungan kerja dan hidupnya, serta tingkat kecelakaan dan cedera lebih berkurang. Program ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kepatuhan pada regulasi K3 yang berlaku dan mengurangi dampak negatif kecelakaan kerja terhadap produktivitas dan kesejahteraan pekerja
STUDI DESAIN RENCANA UMUM KAPAL PENGANGKUT SAMPAH SEBAGAI INISIASI PEMBUATAN DESAIN KAPAL SEJENIS DI BATAM, KEPULAUAN RIAU
Sungai yang melewati area pemukiman memiliki potensi yang berhubungan dengan kesehatan utamanya terkait dengan pengelolaan dan penanganan sampah. Perlu studi mengenai alat yang mampu menanggulangi potensi kerusakan lingkungan akibat penanganan sampah yang kurang memadai. Kota Batam yang beranjak menuju kota metropolis, kota pariwisata, kota budaya dimana di Batam terdapat beberapa sungai yang mengalir ke muara. Perlu sebuah desain alat yang berkaitan dengan sungai, khususnya kapal untuk mengurangi risiko sampah yang mengotori lingkungan. Penelitian atau studi awal dilakukan mengenai desain kapal yang sesuai dengan area Batam yang merujuk pada sumber-sumber desain kapal yang sudah ada. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah desain kapal pengangkut sampah telah dikembangkan di berbagai daerah dengan variasi model, di mana komponen utama mencakup jumlah lambung, sistem conveyor, alat gerak, dan sumber energinya. Validasi kuesioner menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat lebih memilih desain monohull dengan sistem conveyor yang lebih ringkas. ANALISA PENGARUH HAMBATAN KAPAL DENGAN PENAMBAHAN VARIASI PELETAKAN HYDROFOIL PADA LAMBUNG KAPAL PATROLI DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE CFD
Kapal patroli memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam menjaga keamanan maritim, menegakkan hukum, dan mengawasi perairan nasional. Dalam mendukung tugasnya, lambung kapal patroli dituntut memiliki peforma tinggi, khususnya pada aspek kecepatan, efisiensi hambatan dan wetted surface area. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penambahan serta variasi peletakan hydrofoil terhadap hambatan total dan wetted surface area pada lambung kapal patroli. Tiga variasi peletakan hydrofoil diuji, yaitu peletakan bagian haluan, buritan dan kombinasi keduanya dengan titik acuan pada center of waterline. Computational Fluid Dynamics digunakan untuk mengalisa hambatan total dengan variasi kecepatan 20, 24 dan 28 knot. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan peletakan variasi hydrofoil belum mampu menurunkan nilai hambatan total secara signifikan dibandingkan model lambung kapal patroli tanpa penambahan hydrofoil. Akan tetapi pada ketiga variasi peletakan hydrofoil pada lambung kapal patroli, variasi peletakan hydrofoil pada haluan kapal menunjukkan bahwa peforma terbaik dengan penurunan nilai wetted surface area sebesar 17.41% pada kecepatan 24 dan 23.41% pada kecepatan 28 knotKapal patroli memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam menjaga keamanan maritim, menegakkan hukum, dan mengawasi perairan nasional. Media Pembelajaran Interaktif pada Pendidikan Teknik Penerbangan
The advancement of Virtual Reality (VR) technology has significantly contributed to the field of education, particularly in vocational learning environments. This study aims to develop and evaluate FLIGHTECH IMMERSION, an interactive learning application based on VR technology integrated with hand tracking, designed to help students explore aircraft components virtually. The application was developed using the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method, consisting of six stages: Concept, Design, Material Collecting, Assembly, Testing, and Distribution. Functional testing was conducted using the black-box testing method, while user evaluation employed a quantitative descriptive approach through a questionnaire distributed to 32 students of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Program at Batam State Polytechnic. The results showed an average user satisfaction score of 4.42, classified as "Very Feasible". These findings indicate that FLIGHTECH IMMERSION can serve as an innovative and effective educational medium for immersive learning in the field of aviation technology.Kemajuan teknologi Realitas Virtual (VR) telah memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan bagi dunia pendidikan, khususnya di lingkungan pembelajaran vokasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengevaluasi FLIGHTECH IMMERSION, sebuah aplikasi pembelajaran interaktif berbasis teknologi VR yang terintegrasi dengan pelacakan tangan, yang dirancang untuk membantu siswa menjelajahi komponen pesawat secara virtual. Aplikasi ini dikembangkan menggunakan metode Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC), yang terdiri dari enam tahap: Konsep, Desain, Pengumpulan Material, Perakitan, Pengujian, dan Distribusi. Pengujian fungsional dilakukan dengan metode pengujian kotak hitam (black-box), sedangkan evaluasi pengguna menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada 32 mahasiswa Program Studi Teknik Perawatan Pesawat Udara Politeknik Negeri Batam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skor kepuasan pengguna rata-rata sebesar 4,42, yang tergolong "Sangat Layak". Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa FLIGHTECH IMMERSION dapat menjadi media pendidikan yang inovatif dan efektif untuk pembelajaran imersif di bidang teknologi penerbangan
Evaluating the Effectiveness of the SIGNAL Digital Samsat Application Using the PIECES Framework and Technical Testing
The SIGNAL application is a digital service provided by the Indonesian National Police\u27s Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) to facilitate online STNK validation. However, several users have reported issues such as unsuccessful verification processes, delays in the delivery of physical documents, slow customer service responses, and login difficulties. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the SIGNAL application using the PIECES framework, which covers six dimensions: Performance, Information, Economic, Control, Efficiency, and Service. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 300 users of the SIGNAL application. Each questionnaire indicator was developed based on PIECES theory and statistically tested for validity and reliability using AVE and Composite Reliability. Descriptive and inferential analyses were conducted, including a one-sample t-test to assess user satisfaction. The results show that the average satisfaction score was 3.9 out of 5, with 76% of respondents expressing satisfaction or high satisfaction, 15% neutral, and 9% dissatisfied. The highest satisfaction was recorded in the Economic aspect (mean 4.06), while the lowest was in Control (mean 3.94). Technical testing using Apptim showed the app performed well, with an average response time of 2.4 seconds, CPU usage at 18%, memory usage at 170MB, and no crashes (0% error rate). These findings indicate that SIGNAL is generally effective and stable, though improvements are needed, particularly in service responsiveness and cross-device performance. This research contributes to the theoretical application of the PIECES model in evaluating public digital services and offers insights for improving the quality of e-government systems in Indonesia
Sentiment Analysis of the Film "JUMBO" on Twitter Using the Naive Bayes Method and Support Vector Machine (SVM) with a Text Mining Approach
This study aims to perform sentiment analysis on reviews of the film “JUMBO” collected from the Twitter platform, using the Naive Bayes and Support Vector Machine (SVM) methods. The data were gathered through a crawling process on Twitter, yielding 2,011 tweets, which were then processed through several pre-processing steps, including case folding, cleaning, normalization, tokenization, stopword removal, and stemming. Subsequently, the data were transformed into numerical representations using TF-IDF, followed by sentiment labeling into positive, negative, and neutral categories. For the Naive Bayes method, training and evaluation were conducted using 5-fold Cross Validation. The results showed that the Naive Bayes model achieved an accuracy of 80.60%, precision of 73.83%, recall of 73.50%, and an F1-score of 69.98%. Meanwhile, the SVM method obtained an accuracy of 75.87%, precision of 76.36%, recall of 62.45%, and an F1-score of 65.64%. Compared to the baseline random classifier, which only achieved an accuracy of 32.47%, both primary methods significantly outperformed it in classifying film review sentiments. The analysis also indicates that the F1-score is lower than the accuracy due to the imbalanced data distribution, with a considerably higher number of positive reviews. This study also presents visualizations of sentiment distribution and word clouds to provide a clearer understanding of audience opinions. The results demonstrate that the Naive Bayes method performs well and has potential for use in sentiment analysis of films on social media platforms.
