Law student Sara Jane Pruell reflects on the past, prepares for the future

There’s a cliché that some people are drawn to law school because they like to argue. For 
Sara Jane Pruell, it was because she enjoyed reading contracts.  
As a marketing executive for a decade for brands like Brooks Brothers and Tarte Cosmetics, 
she recalls, “I really started to find that I liked reading the contracts and implementing a lot 
of the negotiations from those marketing contracts, more so than the marketing itself.” 
Once, when Pruell was negotiating the renewal of her lease on a New York City apartment, 
the landlord asked if she was a lawyer because she was so detail oriented. She wasn’t at 
the time but now she is well on her way to becoming one. In May 2025, she will graduate 
with a JD from the Roger Williams University School of Law. 
Pruell reflects on her journey to law school and her years as a part-time student juggling 
work, school, and two young children, one of whom was born shortly before summer term 
exams. (“Like any good type-A law student, I planned to give birth right after summer 
session final exams but unfortunately, my son had other plans,” she says.)  
 
Helping small businesses 
Pruell also had a more typical reason to pursue a legal career: she wanted to help people. 
She nearly joined the Peace Corps after graduating from Salve Regina University in 2010 
and has long thought about how she could make a difference. Law, she says, “seemed like 
a really great way to help people, and to advocate for those that don’t always have a voice.” 
As she was considering law schools, she appreciated the emphasis RWU Law places on 
volunteering and pro bono work. 
At RWU Law, Pruell was able to combine her knack for meticulous analysis with the desire 
to speak up for those without a voice. Despite her packed schedule, she has participated in 
service-oriented activities including the Business Start-up Clinic and Minority Business 
Law Collaborative. Both activities bolstered her interest in transactional work. “The 
Business Start-up Clinic and the Minority Business Law Collaborative are unique 
opportunities where you can help people in a transactional way,” she remarks. 
For example, Pruell worked on an asset purchase agreement from start to finish in the 
clinic. She calls her experience with the clinic and Minority Business Law Collaborative 
“really formative for me to be able to use everything that I’ve learned in my classes and put 
it into actual practice.” Coming full circle from her own experience negotiating her lease, 
she also was able to spend a semester helping tenants at the Eviction Help Desk. 
 
  
 
Negotiating the future 
With the stereotypical image of law school as hyper-competitive, Pruell was pleasantly 
surprised by the camaraderie she found at RWU Law, including on Law Review, where she 
serves on the editorial board. Older than many of her Law Review colleagues and a mother 
of two, she says they have been supportive and appreciate her life experience. “You might 
have different life experiences than some of your classmates and that is valuable,” she 
advises anyone considering law as a second career. She also jokes that, “there’s value in 
being able to negotiate with your children and use that in your contracts class the next day.” 
There is yet another reason Pruell wanted to go to law school. “I really wanted to make a 
career change that I thought my son would be proud of,” she recalls. Her older son is six 
now. At first, he didn’t understand why Mom was doing homework all the time. Now he 
knows that at the end of this, she will be a lawyer. With all the arguments he wins, she says 
he might be a better lawyer than her.  
Not surprisingly, Pruell wants to practice transactional law after she graduates in the spring 
and continue to provide pro bono services. She also considers joining an in-house 
corporate legal department someday. “I think wherever I end up,” she says, “my sons will be 
proud.”

Meet the 2024 Winners 
 
Ruth Bader Ginsburg Essay/Art Contest 
Rhode Island elementary, middle and high School students are invited to submit drawings, 
essays on how iconic U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has inspired them. 
Each year, Roger Williams University School of Law, Rhode Island’s only law school, invites 
Ocean State students from grades K through 12 to submit essays and drawings on how they have 
been inspired by the legacy of late Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the Supreme Court 
of the United States, who passed away on September 18, 2020. 
“Justice Ginsburg cared about equality for all people,” noted RWU Law Professor Emily Sack, 
who advises the school’s Women’s Law Society. “When she started her fight for women’s 
equality under the law, it seemed like an impossible task, but she worked hard and persisted, and 
made great strides for the things she believed in. 
“She also knew that this is not something she could accomplish alone, and that we all have a part 
to play in making a better world,” Sack added. “She famously said, ‘Fight for things you care 
about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.’ At RWU Law, we thought this essay 
contest would be a wonderful way for all of us, and especially our state’s students, to be inspired 
by Justice Ginsburg’s life and her call to action.”

                                                        Rochelle Garza 
 
Rochelle Garza is an attorney from the Rio Grande Valley currently serving as President of 
the Texas Civil Rights Project, one of the most influential legal organizations dedicated to 
empowering Texas communities and creating policy changes in the state.  
In 2022, Rochelle Garza became the democratic nominee for Texas Attorney General on a 
platform focused on voting rights, reproductive rights and government accountability. She 
was the first Latina to be nominated in Texas history to run for Attorney General by any 
major party. Although she did not win, she earned the highest percentage of votes than any 
other statewide democratic nominee in Texas.   
She is the daughter of two public school teachers. Rochelle’s mother was raised by a WWII 
veteran and a hard-working mother who became the manager of a municipal credit union 
after raising her three children.  Rochelle’s father was raised on a farm by an immigrant 
mother and a father whose family had worked the land for multiple generations. Her father 
became a teacher, a lawyer and then served South Texas as an elected District Judge for 21 
years. Together, they taught Rochelle to have faith, work hard, and that every person is 
deserving of dignity and respect. 
At a young age, Rochelle learned firsthand how broken our healthcare system is. Her oldest 
brother, Robby, suffered a brain injury during childbirth and grew up with disabilities. 
Rochelle watched her parents work tirelessly to ensure Robby had the care he needed. Her 
mother left teaching to care for Robby. Access to affordable health care was absolutely 
critical. But time after time, Robby was denied coverage for his most basic needs, even a 
wheelchair lift to get him to school. Like so many families, Rochelle knows what it’s like to 
make sacrifices for the health of her family.  
So she became a lawyer for the people –– fighting for the civil rights of children, immigrants 
and families. Rochelle has expertise in immigration, family, criminal and constitutional law. 
She has fought for reproductive rights for immigrant teens in detention, including the Garza 
v. Hargan case in which Rochelle was the guardian for Jane Doe, a pregnant 17-year-old 
denied the right to choose.  Her work on that case resulted in the “Garza Notice,” a federal 
requirement that ensures teens in immigration detention control their reproductive health 
care choices, which is still in effect till this day.  
Rochelle graduated from the University of Houston Law Center and from Brown University 
with honors. She lives with her husband, Adam, their toddler, and their dog, Ramses, in 
Brownsville, Texas. 
In addition to the lecture, the program will feature the announcement of the winners of 
the RWU Law RBG Essay/Art Contest for RI school children.

The Wellness Connection, founded in 2023, seeks to
empower law students with knowledge, resources,
and support and aims to foster a culture of mental
wellness within the legal community. 
The demanding nature of legal education and the
legal profession can place significant stressors on
individuals, leading to mental health challenges.
Thus, the Wellness Connection Newsletter will raise
awareness, reduce stigma, and provide practical
strategies for self-care, resilience, and seeking help
when needed.

Mission Statement
We are in the final stretch of the semester!
With only two full weeks left of classes it is
time to start planning ahead. 
Spend a little extra time in these three weeks
outlining and planning your mode of attack
for final exams! 
If you can’t quite bring yourself to begin
studying try making yourself a schedule for
Reading Week. Anything you can do now to
take the burden off yourself during finals is
super helpful!
Trust us, your May self will thank you for it!
The Final Stretch
Rest & Relax! Self Care
With finals right around the corner and the weather finally
improving there is no better time to put yourself & your body first. 
Self care isn’t selfish - it’s essential to your well-being.
Step away from screens: Take some time away from your
electronics. Studies have shown that people who avoided screen-
time for even short periods of time reported greater emotional
well-being and greater work efficiency.
Move your body: Exercise can help reduce the stress and anxiety
associated with final exams as well as boost your energy for when
you return to studying.
 
Sleep: We love including sleep as a self care technique because it is
true! Though we may feel like we do not have time to sleep  by
prioritizing getting enough sleep at night you will actually improve
your overall energy levels for the day ahead.
Do something you love: Whether it is mediation, listening to music,
or baking; do something you love because it can help relax/ground
you and allow you to prepare for whatever challenges are ahead.
More Sun, More Growing
With longer hours of sun light, the easier it is to grow plants! This fun
activity will leave you with beautiful summer plants or herbs you can use
in your kitchen! A lot of us here at RWU Law live in apartments and so
we have made this apartment friendly herb garden DIY.
 Pick a nice sunny window: Ideally a south or east facing window as
they get the most light, you want at least 6 hours of light a day on the
plants. A window which you can open is also a good idea as on sunny
days you can open and allow the plants fresh air.
1.
 Gather your supplies: a well-draining potting soil mix and pots
which have drainage holes in the bottom (make sure you get ones
with a catch plate so you do not have water spilling in your
apartment OR use a smaller drainage container inside a larger one)
2.
Choose your herbs: The best herbs to grow inside are rosemary,
thyme, cilantro, mint and basil but try anything out you want! 
3.
 Planting: Fill your containers with soil, leaving about an inch of
space below the rim. Make a hole in the potting mix, place your herb
in, and then fill around the herb with the existing soil. Pack down
gently to remove air pockets. If using one pot for multiple make sure
leave adequate space between for the plants to breathe.
4.
 Watering: These plants like moist soil to grow in so make sure you
water after planting and whenever the top layer feels dry.

 Enjoy! Watch your new plants grow 6.
       and harvest when ready to use!
Many of us are getting ready for what will be our
first legal internship! With this new opportunity,
comes a multitude of experiences: new legal
knowledge, writing assignments for the court and
your supervising attorney, and with some
internships, time in the courtroom! 
Whether you‘re a 1L or 2L, here are some helpful
tips for your summer:
Be Punctual
Try to be as on time as you can be – its understood that
things come up and you may be late but don‘t make it a
habit! Most places appreciate if you call or text to let
them know if you’re running behind. 
Get Ready for What’s to
Come (And We Don’t Just
Mean Finals!)
Stay On Top of Assignments
Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to work on the
assignments you are given. For many, it will be the first time you are
dealing with that particular type of law so thorough research is key!
Build Relationships
Taking time to mingle with your co-workers and your supervisor both
in and out of the office. Office chatter about the work you’re doing
can provide insight into the legal research and writing you’re doing.
Taking time to grab coffee or lunch with you co-workers or
supervisor allows you to build your network and create relationships
that can last long after you leave!
Reflect
During your summer, it’s important to reflect on the opportunities
you’ve had and the work you’ve done. Is this an area of law you’re
interested in? Liked it, but not for you? Now know you don’t want to
pursue that area of law? It’s important to think about these questions
as your legal career develops!

Rest & Relax!
CBT is a type of treatment that helps people learn to identify thought patterns that have a
negative influence on their behavior and emotions and how to change those patterns. 
Below are some CBT practices you can adopt into your daily life:
 Journaling: Writing is an effective way to gather information about your thoughts
and feelings. You can list the negative thoughts that occur and the positive thoughts
you can choose instead.
1.
Cognitive Restructuring or Reframing: This involves identifying and challenging the
negative thought patterns and cognitive distortions you frequently experience. For
example, if you have a difficult day at your internship, thinking, “I’m useless and a
terrible intern” can be reframed as, “This wasn’t my best day, but I’m skilled at my
job and a valuable intern.”
2.
Relaxation and Stress Reduction Techniques: Deep breathing exercises, muscle
relaxation, meditation, and imagery can help lower your stress and increase your
feeling of control.
3.
Behavioral Experiments: These are designed to identify the thought patterns that
influence your behavior. Before starting a task that typically makes you anxious, you
predict what will happen, and afterwards see if the prediction came true. This helps
reduce the initial anxiety and “what if” type of thinking that may keep you from
starting or completing those tasks.
4.
Activity Scheduling and Behavior Activation: When we’re stressed, pleasurable
activities are often the first to go. Intentionally taking part in activities that you enjoy
reduces negative thinking and promotes positive emotions and well-being. By
scheduling these activities, you’ll be more likely to follow through with them and
benefit from the positive feelings that come from doing the enjoyable activity.

Author Biographies 
Jamie Beck, J.D. is the owner of J.D. Beck Consulting, a boutique con-
sulting firm that focuses on supporting attorneys, law firms, and or-
ganizations working with survivors of human trafficking, domestic and 
sexual violence, and child abuse.  Ms. Beck’s consulting practice pro-
vides case consultation, expert witness services, and program develop-
ment.  Ms. Beck also offers customized trainings on a variety of sub-
jects within her areas of expertise including human trafficking and 
trauma-informed practices. 
 
Ms. Beck previously served as the President & Managing Attorney of 
Free to Thrive, a Southern California-based nonprofit organization 
with the mission of advancing justice and transforming the legal sys-
tem for human trafficking survivors through legal services, education, 
and policy advocacy.  She has over a decade of experience representing 
human trafficking survivors in a variety of legal matters including 
criminal vacatur (P.C. § 236.14), domestic violence restraining orders, 
child custody, divorce, name and gender changes, and victim’s rights 
representation. 
 
Ms. Beck also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in Law at USC Gould 
School of Law and Pepperdine Caruso School of Law, teaching a course 
on “Trauma-Informed Legal Skills.”  She has trained thousands of at-
torneys, students, stakeholders, and community members on human 
trafficking and trauma-informed practices. 
 
Ms. Beck graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law 
where she was a member of the San Diego Law Review.  Ms. Beck at-
tended law school because she wanted to help others, and she knew 
that the legal system is a powerful tool to do so.  She has dedicated her 
legal career to advocating for survivors and cultivating a more trauma-
informed legal system.

Chelsea Estes is passionate about fighting injustice within the legal 
system.  Her background in federal public defense and non-profit work 
firmly established her desire to champion human rights and be a voice 
for communities targeted by government authorities.  
 
Chelsea was born and raised in Oklahoma, where she went to college 
and law school.  She graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 
2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, where she served on the 
University’s student court.  In 2013, she graduated from Oklahoma 
City University School of Law, where she was involved in the Okla-
homa Innocence Project and the mock trial team.  In 2014, she earned 
her LL.M. degree in Criminal Defense Trial Advocacy from California 
Western School of Law.  In 2015, she joined Federal Defenders of San 
Diego, Inc. as a trial attorney and continued in that role until 2021, 
when she moved into the appellate unit.  While at Federal Defenders, 
Chelsea tried multiple federal felony jury trials and argued before the 
Ninth Circuit. 
 
As a federal public defender, Chelsea witnessed the prosecution of vic-
timized populations, which led to her later work as a staff attorney 
with Free to Thrive, a San Diego-based non-profit organization dedi-
cated to fighting back against the criminalization of human trafficking 
survivors.  Chelsea now works with the Muslim Legal Fund of America

Sarah McConnell teaches courses in Legal Practice, Civil Procedure, 
and Professional Responsibility at Roger Williams University School of 
Law.  Professor McConnell’s research interests cover issues related to 
trauma-informed lawyering, the ethical responsibilities of legal writing 
and judicial writing, fair and equitable representation in the legal pro-
fession, healthy approaches to lawyering legal education, and histori-
cal perspectives and through lines relating to the evolution of the jus-
tice system in the United States.  She explores these issues in the 
greater context of understanding power structures and the principles 
of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the attainment of jus-
tice.  
 
Professor McConnell received a B.A. from Rhode Island College, where 
she studied political science and philosophy, and a J.D. from the Uni-
versity of Tulsa College of Law, where she served as a staff editor for 
the Energy Law Journal and received certificates in Energy & Natural 
Resource Law and Public Policy & Regulation.  Prior to entering aca-
demia, Professor McConnell practiced law in Providence, Rhode Island, 
focusing on civil commercial and real estate litigation and transactions, 
then served more than thirteen years as an attorney with the Rhode 
Island Supreme Court, collaborating with justices, law clerks, and 
other court staff and attorneys in the areas of research and writing.  
 
Professor McConnell is the proud mother to Owen and Emmett, who 
inspire her every single day to work toward helping to ensure a more

Leah Lunetta graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from Roger Wil-
liams University School of Law in May 2025.  She appreciated taking 
a course in Historic Preservation at the RWU School of Architecture 
during her time at RWU Law. 
  
While at RWU Law, Leah was a Teaching Assistant for Professor Sa-
rah McConnell’s Legal Practice I and II, Civil Procedure I and II, and 
Professional Responsibility courses.  She was also a Teaching Assistant 
for Professor Johnathan Gutoff’s Administrative Law course.  Leah 
participated in the Prisoners’ Rights Litigation Clinic, where she 
worked on federal civil matters on behalf of incarcerated persons in 
Rhode Island.  She participated as an advanced research student for 
the clinic in her last semester at RWU Law.  During this time, she 
developed an interest in trauma-informed lawyering, as it became a 
necessary component in her work, and her experience in the clinic was 
central to many of her research questions for this project. 
  
Prior to law school, Leah earned her Bachelor of Business Administra-
tion in Management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

Will Sheehan joined Safe Passage Project as an Immigrant Justice 
Corps Fellow and is now a Staff Attorney.  Will works with immigrant 
youth to provide them quality legal representation.  Will believes that 
every child deserves the opportunity to craft a beautiful and fulfilling 
life for themselves.  Free, trauma-informed, and client-centered immi-
gration counsel can help ensure that opportunity.  In addition to his 
work at Safe Passage Project, Will is an adjunct professor at New York 
Law School where he teaches the Immigration Law and Litigation 
Clinic.  Will holds a J.D. from Roger Williams University School of 
Law, a M.Ed. in Trauma-Informed Education from Columbia College, 
and a B.A. in Philosophy and Spanish from Kalamazoo College.  Out-
side of work, Will enjoys long distance running, playing cello, and en-

Sarah Katz is a Clinical Professor of Law at Temple University Beasley 
School of Law, and a current Senior Fellow with the Stoneleigh Foun-
dation.  She directs and teaches the new Family Justice Clinic at Tem-
ple Law.  Professor Katz researches and writes about trauma-aware 
lawyering, the child welfare system and other family law issues, and 
frequently speaks on these topics at scholarly conferences and attorney

Alison Brochu is from Cumberland, Rhode Island.  She graduated from 
Keene State College in 2023, with a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies 
and International Relations.    
  
At Roger Williams University School of Law, she is a staff editor for 
the Roger Williams University Law Review.  Additionally, she is a 
member of the Honors Program and a Teaching Assistant for Professor 
Jenna Wims Hashway’s Legal Practice courses, Professor Michael 
Yelnosky’s Torts I course, and Professor Natasha Varyani’s Property 
course.  After her first year of law school, she served as a Judicial In-
tern for the Honorable Lara E. Montecalvo in the U.S. Court of Appeals 
for the First Circuit.   She will be a law clerk at Cameron & Mittleman 
LLP during the summer of 2025. 
  
Alison expects to graduate from Roger Williams University School of

Meghan Sheldon currently serves on the Roger Williams University 
Law Review Alumni and Outreach Committee and Editorial Staff.  
 
She expects to graduate with a Juris Doctor degree from Roger Wil-
liams University School of Law in May 2026.  At RWU Law, she is a 
member of the Honors Program and has participated in various extra-
curricular activities including the Street Law program, the Mental 
Health Club, and as a 2L Honor Board representative.  She is a Re-
search Assistant for Professor Emily Sack and works as both a Crimi-
nal Law Teaching Assistant and Academic Excellence Teaching Fel-
low.  During her 1L Summer, she was a Judicial Intern for the 
Honorable Patricia A. Sullivan in the U.S. District Court for the Dis-
trict of Rhode Island.  For the summer of 2025, she looks forward to 
working at Cameron & Mittleman LLP as a summer associate in their 
Providence, RI office.  
 
She graduated from Virginia Tech in December 2020, with honors, 
earning both a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts 
in English with a Pre-Law concentration.  Upon graduating, she joined 
Teach for America and taught second grade for two years in Greens-
boro, North Carolina.  She cares deeply about Teach for America’s mis-
sion to provide equitable access to education for all children, regardless 
of their backgrounds or circumstances.  
 
Meghan lives in Rhode Island with her partner and their pet bunny,

WEEK IN THE LAW LIBRARY LIFE: ALEX WARD, 
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Unlike the other members of the library, I can predict almost every hour of every day. I have a 
set schedule of to-do’s that rarely get altered except on special occasions like library or law 
school events. Without fail, coffee always comes first. Black – no muss no fuss – from our trusty 
Keurig in the staff kitchen. If you’ve ever visited my desk, then you’re familiar with my Care 
Bear mugs. I like to match the color of my mug to my outfit, a simple way to romanticize the 
day. Today’s color: green! 
As the administrative assistant for the library, I am responsible for general tasks like processing 
the mail, paying invoices, updating our logbook, coding our P-card transactions into their 
necessary budget lines, taking care of facilities requests, and assisting the library staff with their 
day-to-day tasks. This could mean helping Kathleen file loose-leaf, event planning with Erin, 
Lindsay and Jess, or working on a project for Raquel. As we near the fiscal year’s end, it has 
become very important for me to stay on top of paying invoices and running reports so we can 
keep a close eye on our spending these next few months. The more interesting parts of my day 
happen when I call vendors to talk about the invoices that come in throughout the week. Most of 
the time, these interactions are pleasant and simple. Other times, I feel like I am on an episode of 
impractical jokers waiting for the person on the other end of the phone to break character and 
say, “I’m just messing with you! I have the invoice right here ready to pay.” Unfortunately, this 
has yet to happen, and I am instead bounced around from person to person to person until finally, 
after 40 minutes on the phone, I am informed that actually no one in the office can help me and I 
should call back later. The plus side is my desk faces a beautiful window, and I have no problem 
watching the wildlife and traffic to pass the time during these calls. Especially now that it’s 
spring, the birds love to hang out in the trees and everything is so green! 
My favorite part of any day without fail is lunchtime. This is when I get to catch up with Erin, 
Lindsay and Jess, one of whom always has a crazy story to tell. If I’m lucky, we’ll all have 
something to say and will spend the whole hour talking! But most days, I spend the second half 
of my lunch walking the seashell path and listening to an audiobook. I just finished The Wedding 
People, and it was SO fascinating. Funny story, I randomly started it before driving home a 
couple of weeks ago and was surprised to hear that it took place at The Breakers in Newport! I 
lived in that area last year, so it was fun to hear the familiar places mentioned in the story like the 
Cliff Walk, First Beach, Bowen’s Wharf, and Flo’s Clam Shack.  
After lunch I like to stick to mindless tasks as I normally have a bad case of the afternoon slump. 
This includes checking in any more mail that trickled in after the initial morning drop-off, taking 
a look at Roger Central to make sure no incorrect charges hit our budget, responding to emails, 
and entering invoices in Sierra so we have a solid record of what we pay in a given week. If a 
facilities request was entered earlier in the week, this is also when I’d follow up to check the 
status of our ticket(s). As I’m writing this, we just received our latest update of bound volumes, 
supplements, and pocket parts for Federal Practice and Procedure. This is over 60 pieces of 
material. When shipments like this come in, it will easily take the rest of the afternoon to check 
everything in properly in Sierra and stamp the materials before putting them where they need to 
go (either on the labeling shelf for Kathleen to process further or on Erin’s cart for her student 
workers to shelve). And that’s that. � Now you know what I do in a typical week. Thank you

For most of you, today marks the culmination of the most challenging work you have undertaken 
so far. Spend today as it is intended, celebrating this amazing achievement with your family, 
friends, and other loved ones.  You can start tackling the next challenge on Monday.  
You are joining a great profession and colleagues who will challenge you to succeed at every 
turn. After this summer, you will head out to firms, clerkships, other jobs, or perhaps continue 
your graduate education.  (There may be a future law librarian in your midst!) Regardless of your 
next challenge, you will be an RWU Law Alum, joining a fantastic group of attorneys who “do 
well by doing good.” 
But first, next week.  If you’re studying for the bar this summer and are staying in the area, the 
library will be open this summer, and yes, we have air conditioning!  We will be open Monday-
Friday, except Memorial Day, Juneteenth, and the 4th of July weekend.  After that weekend, our 
hours will be extended to include weekends through August 1. 
Before you delve too deeply into bar study, consider extending your library services beyond your 
bar studies. 
• Visit our Post-Graduation Access page for information on accessing Lexis and Westlaw, 
including instructions on how to opt in. 
• Register for access to the Law Alumni Access to the HeinOnline Law Journal Library. 
We offer alumni remote access to this source for law review articles. 
• If you plan to practice in RI, MA, or CT after passing the Bar Exam, be sure to also 
register for an Alumni Borrower Card. This card not only provides you with borrowing 
privileges but also allows you to use our study rooms when you visit (subject to 
availability). 
Lastly, law alumni are always welcome to contact us via the Ask A Librarian service. You can 
chat with us, email, call, or visit the law librarians and let us know how we can assist you, both 
during bar study and beyond. We are your law library for life.
