Storage and Retrieval of Videos and Metadata using MPEG7
No full textThis bachelor thesis will examine the possibilities for storing and retrieving video files in a content management environment. The video files consist of a video stream and describing data. The describing data are MPEG7 coded XML files. The content management software is the IBM Content Manager 7 including the video charger, DB2 and the Enterprise Information Portal. As additional software the XML-Extender and the Text Extender could be used. The management of videos is different to the management of textual metadata. Therefore the focus of this thesis will be to split the different data for storing and combining the data for retrieval. The thesis should be coordinated with the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft (FhG). The FhG developed a system for describing videos. The described videos of the FhG should be stored and retrieved using the prototype implementation of this thesis

No full textDer Einsatz aktuell entwickelter Information-Retrieval-Techniken und Suchtechniken in Internetsuchmaschinen können wesentliche Verbesserungen bei den Nutzern, wie beispielsweise schnellere und exaktere Suchergebnisse, erbringen.
Die Landessuchmaschine von Mecklenburg/Vorpommern MV-Info wurde im Landesprojekt SWING mit neuen Techniken und Funktionalitäten erweitert. Insbesondere wurden Techniken zur Analyse und Verarbeitung von WWW-Dokumten, kombinierte Rankingmechanismen, neue Modell- und Speicherungsformen für die Daten sowie beschleunigte Zugriffsmechanismen entwickelt und erprobt. Der Artikel beschreibt diese Arbeiten und deren Ergebnisse. Die konkreten Erweiterungen werden dargestellt und praktisch an der SWING-Suchmaschine evaluiert
