Native ESI-MS and Collision Induced Unfolding (CIU) of the Complex between Bacterial Elongation Factor-Tu and the Antibiotic Enacyloxin IIa
Raw native-MS and IM-MS data supporting publication in JASMS.
Abstract:
Collision induced unfolding (CIU) of protein ions, monitored by ion mobility-mass spectrometry (IM-MS), can be used to assess the stability of their compact gas-phase fold, and hence provide structural information. The bacterial elongation factor EF-Tu, a key protein for protein translation in prokaryotes, and hence a promising antibiotic target, has been studied by CIU. The major [M+12H]12+ ion of EF-Tu unfolded in collision with Ar atoms between 40 and 50 V, corresponding to an Elab energy of 480-500 eV. Binding of the cofactor analogue GDPNP and the antibiotic enacyloxin IIa stabilized the compact fold of EF-Tu, although dissociation of the latter from the complex diminished its stabilizing effect at higher collision energie
Night Office for the Translation of St Cuthbert at Worksop: Service Orders used for a Medieval Enactment on Sunday 1 September 2024
This deposit consists of four service orders that contributed to an experimental, community-led enactment of a medieval 'Night Office' liturgy at Worksop Priory, Nottinghamshire, on Sunday 1 September 2024, at 5am. Based upon primary research from the project 'Music in the Shadows: Staging Medieval Night Worship, 800-1300', the service was co-created by the named researchers together with clergy, musicians, and volunteers from Worksop Priory.
The service on 1 September 2024 followed the medieval secular pattern of nine readings, as it might once have been known at Worksop, or another English Augustinian priory, on the feast of the Translation of St Cuthbert on 4 September. The music was drawn from the thirteenth-century Guisborough Antiphoner, GB-Lbl Add. 35285. The rubrics were based upon instructions in later-medieval Augustinian customaries, including those of Barnwell, Stafford, St Victor in Paris, and Rolduc (Klosterrath). The readings were derived principally from the Coldingham Breviary, GB-LBl Harley MS 4664.
The documents published here mix the original Latin of the medieval liturgy with English translations to assist modern audiences. The rationale for these and other liturgical choices will be explored in a future publication, in which the researchers reflect on the intellectual contribution of the medieval enactments accomplished during the research project.
The orders of service were assembled with the assistance of Prof. David Hiley (scholarly edition and typesetting of the chants), Dr Peter Siepmann (further music typesetting), and Dr Henry Howard (English translations of chants). Their work is published here with permission.

Experimental Data for Publication 'Formulation of fortified beverage nanoemulsions for space exploration based on the example of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids'
The data contains mainly emulsion characteristics (average particle size, particle size distributions, dispersity index) determined via dynamic light scattering against different emulsion compositions (sugar concentration in the aqueous phase, pH of the aqueous phase, composition of the oil phase) and different emulsification methods (batch and continuous microfluidic emulsification). Outliers have been removed. In addition, densities of both aqueous phase and oil phase have been determined and are included in the data set. Furthermore, one SPME GC-MS experiment on flavour release in nanoemulsions compared to a control is included in the data set.
Data has been generated at the University of Adelaide (Volker Hessel Research Group, School of Chemical Engineering & Andy Thomas Centre for Space Resources) and the University of Nottingham (International Flavour Research Centre, School of Biosciences) and collaboratively analysed as per the jointly-awarded PhD program between the University of Adelaide and the University of Nottingham

Research Data for DiscourseDash: A Tool for Analysing Social Media Discourses
This repository contains all research data collected from user studies evaluating DiscourseDash, a dashboard tool for analysing social media discourses to support decision-making. Included are responses gathered from qualitative interviews and quantitative questionnaires. The data support the findings of our two-phase user study: (1) a mixed-method study with general users, and (2) an interview study with industry experts
