LESA-MS of Ovine Footrot Disease Lipids

    No full text
Tissues were collected from both healthy and ovine footrot disease (OFD)-affected hooves, with a view to studying lipidomic differences between the two samples. The aim was to develop a method that can be used to improve understanding of OFD pathogenesis. Liquid extraction surface analysis mass spectrometry was used to directly and rapidly analyse lipids from healthy and OFD-affected ovine tissue sections. High resolution mass spectrometry (Orbitrap) was used to generate high accurate mass data

Analytical derivation and numerical validation of novel scaling laws for air-water flows

    No full text
A MATLAB application to find different configurations of the novel scaling laws for air-water flows. This app allows for the generation of different configurations by setting assumptions for air compressibility. By knowing the laboratory conditions, e.g. the properties of the fluid, the app calculates the conditions under which air-water flows are self-similar, i.e. the behaviour of the scaled laboratory model is invariant with respect to its prototype. The self-similar conditions are calculated by applying the Lie-group transformation to the governing equations of air-water flows, i.e. including the surface tension and the air compressibility effects

Interviews of participants with and without long covid about their return to work

    No full text
The data encompasses the experiences of participants with long COVID as they return to work following their COVID-19 infections. For comparison, we also interviewed participants who never had COVID-19 to explore their return-to-work experiences after the lockdown. This approach aims to determine whether some difficulties faced by those with long COVID are not directly related to long COVID symptoms but are instead due to the broader impact of the pandemic
