    View of two of the six buildings during construction. On verso: Emergency Housing Units under construction at U of A.Lloyd Halls were emergency housing facilities at the University of Arkansas. They were a group of six barrack-style buildings that served until 1955 as temporary dormitories for World War II veterans at the university. They were later demolished. Lloyd Halls were named to honor Edgar Harold Lloyd, war hero and Medal of Honor recipient for service above and beyond the call of duty during World War II
